1. Notice how Ruby would try to laugh to fit in and quite often when she tried to tell a story no one laughed. Even back then it seems like there was a divide between her and the siblings. 2. Ruby laughed at all the mischief and pranks they did as children and her mom (except for car) gave them grace and told them how much she loved them over the things they destroyed in the house. Why couldn't Ruby give her children grace and love like her mom did?

I don't get it. How did this person (Ruby), who grew up with so much love and grace from their parents, grow up to be such a hateful and mean parent? 😢

When my oldest son was 9, I asked him to start the car while I was dressing the baby. He came in a said, "Mom I drove the car into the garage". My tired mind didn't register what he said at first... I used to be able to walk at freaking lightspeed car accident took my career (nurse) now i walk as slow as molasses. Everyone slows down in life i ended up slowing down in my early 20's from the accident. People get pissed at me in public for not walking fast but guess what just because i look ok doesnt mean i can move fast😢.

Does this mean Mom would have locked her in a room away from daylight? If abuse happened to Ruby as a child, then its logical she might do same to her children due to the cycle of abuse.

The first thing that comes to mind when an oldest child acts this way in a family, I look at the parents. For example, I wonder if a lot of responsibility was put on Ruby as the big sis. Was there a lot of pressure? Were the parents harder on her? Cause when it comes to her interacting with her kids, she acts so burnt out and tired from her OWN kids.

See, there is way more than enough members of the family that could have stepped in and stopped Ruby's madness. There is no excuse for being in a big, involved family and this level of abvse to be happening. I have one brother and one sister and if I had known something was going on, I wouldnt have let it continue! I used to watch Ellie and Jared all the way back to them being pregnant with Jackson, then I was just irritated by Ellie in time and stopped watching. I looked back in recently and was astounded at Ellie's main character syndrome! Jared needing another painful surgery to sort out his pain etc but oh no, the world has to revolve around Ellie. It truly stunned me just how much the world needs to revolve around her. Jared isnt perfect, but he needs to leave Ellie wayyyyy behind. I watched Bonnie for a while too, but she is the same as Ellie, she has major main character syndrome, though not quite as intensely me me me as Ellie. I got sick of her using her kids as yt entertainment. If I remember rightly, she lost monetisation for a while because yt said she was using the kids too much. As much as I liked their parents, these women are getting their character from somewhere. But what seriously makes me wonder about it all, is that they all allowed this stuff with Ruby to happen. The parents went off abroad on mission, whilst their grandchildren by Ruby needed help! It's interesting at some people seeming so nice, so lovely, yet allowing this stuff to occur without stepping in and MAKING it stop!
