I'm just about on the spectrum and let me tell you. I'm currently 28, from the ages 25-27 I lived by myself and controlled my own diet, doing alot of fasting and removing the foods that the dr here mentioned helped me tremendously ease my own autism. Now I'm back at my parents house and I'm eating what they have always fed me, breads dairy etc, I can feel a distinct difference in myself that leads me to believe that my parents diet which iv been eating since I was born has directly affected my autism. It's not their fault but it is. The difference is night and day when it comes to diet. Also I'd like to throw in that during my time living by myself I played around with low carb and keto and I concluded that alot of the autism I was experiencing came from an excess of insulin in my body. Insulin I believe has influence in my own autism.

Your parents (like all of us), did not know at the time the effects of sugar and carbs on the entire body and it's system. I am only just learning now at the age of 57. It's never too late for us to learn. Maybe you should show your parents this video to educate them. I'm glad you've made imperative changes to your diet and lifestyle. Be being proactive about healing is very powerful indeed.

That's great. I thought you may like to know, there's a strong connection between gut microbiome health and mental health, and between gut dysbiosis and autism. Repairing gut health is essential, it may bring great improvements, the Keto diet helps but it won't be enough without probiotic rich foods. Fermented foods, as natural yogurt, kimchi, kefir, fermented vegetables which can be easily made at home, will bring the good bacteria that restore gut microbiome health and heal leaky gut, thus improving or reversing many conditions including autism. I hope this helps you, wishing for great things to you. 🌟

Great video Dr Berg. I have high functioning autism and have been forced to see a therapist to help me. She wasn't able to help me at all unfortunately. I have noticed, however, that fasting, removing gluten from my diet and increasing my intake of omega 3 fatty acids improves my symptoms significantly. I am much more confident in social gatherings of any kind, for example.

I'm on the spectrum too. I have P.D.D. The therapy thing sounds like that you struggle in regards to your own moral dilemma, which isn't helped due to having autism and possibly a troubled upbringing. My suggestion is to look up Stefan Molyneux's non agression principle, this helped me a bunch and gave me moral ammunition to challenge and shut down people who force me into situations that I don't want to be in.

Me too! But I wasn't diagnosed with it until now TwT and I'm already a teen TwT The doctor said " It's often missed in girls than it is with boys " and that is honestly very true. My mom used to work with a boy who had autism and she said " It was like talking to my daughter but on a different level". The only difficulty that is there for me is school TwT Most schools aren't taught about Autism in girls, only in boys so that often creates trouble for me. So far everything is going fine.

I have been doing keto and fasting for 2 years and I have learned a lot from your RU-vid channel, so when I noticed changes in my 1 year old son back then, I knew it was autism and I started changing his diet to keto when he turned two without letting his aba therapist know and after consulting his doctor, 2 weeks later I was told by the therapist that he has been alert and responsive and I’m so glad I followed my heart and put him on a ketogenic diet when I did. Also, his eye contact has improved a lot and he responds to his name 4 time out of 10. He is 3 now and I’m planning to continue this path.

The only issues I find is controlling my hectic thoughts and not getting lost inside my own head. While I agree with all these tips, getting an autistic child (such as my own High Functioning Autistic child) to eat ANYTHING is a major challenge. Most of them have major food aversions. They get stuck on on a handful of items and it can be he!! trying to get them to change. Never give up! Hopefully, at some point it clicks.

My daughter may or may not even be autistic. But she will not even eat chocolate if it has words or "designs" on it. It has to be smooth. No gummy bear-shaped vitamins. Won't eat a cupcake because it has zig-zag edges. She is 5; she knows these things are tasty but she cannot bring herself to do it. She is also very compassionate and decided to be a vegetarian. Which, I don't blame her. It makes sense to her; she doesn't want anything with "killed animals" in it. So I try to get her to eat more eggs from our chickens. Texture issues there too! We're just trying to get by and get enough fat & protein into her (with mostly cheese), and micronutrients. Which she gets mostly from fruit. Keto is a no-go for us.

Vaccines cause autism, along with ALS, Alzheimers, child leukemia, Mast Cell Disease, Lupus, MS, Asthma, autoimmune disease of all types, Polio... as happened with the OPV, which was funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; it was his vaccine. It caused OPV Type 2 polio, as well as death of many African children. The scientists in Africa found that the polio the children had was from the vaccine strain... and the CDC had to acknowledge it, because what else could they do. Mainstream media should be reporting on all of this, but they will not, as they are more than 70% funded by the pharmaceutical companies. Vaccines are one of the most destructive, and deadly poisons to human kind. Glyphosate is also very dangerous, but not the cause of autism.

I’m autistic and I feel like the way it’s being discussed (in some of the comments) is in line with it being a disease that needs eradicating. I like being autistic, I just struggle with a world that caters for the more dominant neurobiology. My brain allows me to see things that others miss. Yes I communicate differently, but I personally feel that behavioural expectations are key to understanding the difference. Perhaps we are predisposed to the issues listed in the video, but I would argue that it is down to different biology rather than autism itself being the disease. I’d also add that other factors can compound the traits you might see in the individual.

As a 35 year old with autism, I wish my parents knew these things when I was a kid. I've had all of these food issues my whole life. Gut issues, feed allergies, went on soy formula when I was 6 months old. Cutting out certain foods as a kid 100% changed certain behaviors in me. I didn't sleep normal hours, my speech was very delayed etc. It's really easy to dismiss what he says when you have a child with autism as it can sound lofty or too out there. But I can relate to this very much and I know many folks who attest to this. I also have very low vitamin D. So interesting.

Seha Rashid she eats more vegetables than fruit, organ meats, not too much sugar (very tough trying to cut it down at that age but it’s paid off) and her carbs are relatively low. She is very sensitive to dairy so doesn’t have very much and even when she does indulge it’s a slight tummy ache. I just feel as long as you’re keeping the sugar/carbs low and keep them full of a variety of veggies and good quality meats you can’t go wrong. She also takes a multi mineral fish oils and D3 daily.

I actually found keto very harsh on the digestive system but intermittent fasting very beneficial. I've tried most things mentioned above and what really worked for me is a combination selenium and zinc, it really does help the gut brain relationship, promotes huge healing by reducing inflammation, lowering anxiety and tension so helps me sleep very deeply allowing the body to rest and recover greatly. I know there's a glutathione link in there but really I've tried most things and this is what really works best for me. Oh and edited to add a mostly sugar and bread free vegan diet

Hello, I just saw this comment and thought, you may like to know about the connection between gut microbiome health and brain/mental health, and there are many studies showing a connection between gut dysbiosis and autism. What this means is that by repairing the gut microbiota, healing leaky gut, restoring the child's body's ability to properly absorb nutrients and remove toxins, the symptoms could be greatly improved and even that autism could be reversed. I have read about this, it really can happen. All that is needed is to help the child to eat a healthy, natural foods diet, and add probiotics through fermented foods. For example, natural yogurt with the live cultures in it, or fermented vegetables which can be easily made at home. Conventional medicine does not know about this. There's even a special diet called the GAPS diet, created specifically for treating autism. I just wanted to say, there are great hopes for your granddaughter, do try reading about this and taking care of the diet changes, it could bring amazing results. Wishing for healing and great things to you 🌟

My child is 24 and autistic. He’s been diagnosed since 3 but I’m really just now learning about holistic and nutritional therapies. Not one single doctor has offered any advice outside of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and pills. People with autism are usually very picky and food choices are limited because of this. Almost all information out there is for CHILDREN with autism, nothing for adults. Is it too little too late doing this at age 24? Just wondering since no one talks about therapies for autistic adults.

I totally get what your saying, but NO, it's Never too late. There's testimonies where people seen their adult autistic children healed, more alert and even started talking just from diet changes and vitamins. Isaiah 53:5 been let us know that there's a Cure for Everything, because "with His (Jesus) stripes we are Healed." Past tense. So just do everything that was needed to be done from the beginning for your child Now, because the same problem that was there then when he was a child, is the Same problem that's still there now while he's an adult, and the Same solution is still there to help him. So just do the work that still need to be done. It's not by chance you finally came across this information and channel. So don't give up. Get started.

My sons are all adults now, but 2 of the 3 are diagnosed and disabled due to autism spectrum issues. Middle son now 30 is diagnosed as autism and OCD (combative disorder) though in grade school was PDD-NOS. He is low functioning, was aggressive (less now but as he approached puberty dangerous), he beats himself in the face. I don't know, the only sure trigger I felt sure to avoid was red food dye increased the combativeness. He also had a difficult birth, had a bruise over the soft spot, they did an EKG as school thought he had seizures but they said no on that. My youngest son is PDD-NOS, like a 2nd or 3rd grade boy in the body of a 6'3" 250lb Viking. Generally a gentle person, a master of electronics and finding the most bizarre content on RU-vid. My high school science teacher had sent information on vaccines, to me I never saw a connection from the records, I saw problems with their development prior to vaccinations. The middle son was combative in the womb, screamed like he had colic from the time he came out and had night terror screaming through childhood. I relate to my own nightmare prone childhood and sleep paralysis of my early 20's including full on auditory hallucination with one episode. Given today's diagnostics I think myself, my father and my oldest son all could have gotten a broad spectrum diagnosis, example my mom talks about how I never wanted to be held and I see I was always screaming in my baby photos, bad eye contact etc. I was just considered shy, but maybe it is something more. Still it was years and years of having to face life, work and develop to become a reasonably social person though inside you are normal. Can't describe it but of course you always craved contact even though I would literally push affection away. Diet, to me it is treating the symptom and not the root cause. I believe there is a complex variety of genes involved, that it is largely hereditary and that it is a part of the long seen syndrome of the tortured artist - talent and disability or Einstein great brain power and lack of body consciousness. Change in diet, good foods won't hurt certainly. Keto is good, I do think when in full ketosis I am healthier and helps control overeating. Hard to compare I had a high carb youth combined with easy time on academics. Keto and diet as a cure for autism? I will say probably not. Perhaps therapeutic and eliminate a trigger? OK ... But good structure in life (was hard for me as a fly by the seat of your pants person) and work on problem behaviors, work on communication (their main shortcoming) and love them, yes. :)
@Blossom-73
@Blossom-73 4 года назад
I believe you since my niece avoided eye contact as a baby and she never spoke and walk. But there are many cases of children who were born fine and got autism at the age of 2 and 4. So the cause that made those children autistic is not in their genes so Keto diet can help and cure those children. Also children who were exposed to complications shortly before or during birth, including birth asphyxia and preeclampsia became autistic. But for my niece and all the children who were born autistic I really don't know. Her mother insists that the reason her daughter became autistic was a nurse's fault. The nurse threw the stroller with the medical tools to the floor and the noise was terrible. And that happened at the same time the baby was born and baby got very scared from the noise. A very bad welcome to the world for the the baby.

If many were to be put on a restrictive diet .. they may have to be peg tubed in order to survive. Heartbreaking Europe has less trashy food... also Japan. Would love to compare autism rates
