Cyclops. Beast. Hope summers and her team Generation Hope. Literally anyone but wolverine. Every single movie except X-Men 3, X-Men First Class and Deadpool are about Wolverine. And 2 of those are considered to be bad! So literally anyone but wolverine.
When they first revealed X-23, I wanted new more adult actress to portray her in future movies. I take it back, Dafne Keen was so freaking brilliant in this movie, I don't want anyone to replace her.
I say wait a few years till she is a teenager, and do the next movie with her. I do agree she is the only one that can play x23 now. She was that good.
X-23 is the clone of Logan right? Does that mean she ages very slow like Logan? So they can tell story taking place in 10 - 15 years after them movie "Logan" and Dafne Keen could still portray her
Joseph Filipo I'm surprised they kept I secret, they even showed his claws in a trailer, I just thought is was x23 in a weird position with all four of her limbs put together to looks like 6 claws total
Joseph Filipo forreal! Seeing a younger Logan from the perspective of someone he's going against is scary is hell. All these years we've seen him as the good guy and thought he was awesome but when he goes against you, goddamn haha. Even Logan was scared of himself when he took two takes haha xD
Simon Roper at her age with that powerful force. She's a pure beast, and what's makes it more badass is that she went toe to toe with the x24 which is some kind of a younger Logan went evil so yeah. Also her adorable-ness and her badass-ery makes contradicting character whoch is fucking awesome
But I would assume it was from his time in Nagasaki, because days of future past erased the later half of the wolverine, otherwise he would still have bone claws.
I like how the actor ( Hugh Jackman) has the same first alphabet as wolverine birth name, just backward, which make it even more awesome, it's like Wolverine is his alter-ego!
Another character that Bryan Singer and the X Men movies ruined. January Jones played a bland, and generic blonde in First Class. Although to be fair they the comics also ruined her when they paired her to Cyclops. Instead of just being her own. Someone should do justice on her character and find an actress born for her role.
DopeSpill As long as the little girl playing her is the same. She was amazing. I thought having a kid in the movie would ruin it, but I was very very wrong.
The Banana Melon I know but in the beginning of Logan there is a Deadpool 2 trailer and when wade (Deadpool) is running to save a life, Stan lee says "nice costume"
"Well heyyyy! Oh jeez there's uh a whole lot you, that Mexican lady that gave me he- sorry, where's Wolvy at? What? Wow sorry well you're on your own!" *sprints away*
The scene when Xavier died got me misty eyed He's in bed tearing up talking about how he fucked up and X-24 put his knuckles to Xaviers chest and clawed in. Then Logan holding a barely conscious Xavier saying "It wasn't me, it wasn't me"
Heck, the best marvel superheroes movie i dare say. Don't get me wrong, i like Disney Marvel, but personally, this movie is the only one that touched my heart. Amazing experience, amazing feelings, gonna watch it again!
Your opinion. Personally, Logan is MUCH BETTER than Deadpool imho. At least on the emotional stand point. But hey, Deadpool is great, no need to compare between them.
Been Fan since 13.46 now.The movie was everything I hoped and wanted.Graphic,raw,aggressive.Everything I always imagined wolverine to be while reading his comics.
Me too, i especially love the tone, it's very dark, very horrifying, but not over the top dark, they show comical and the human side without breaking the seriousness of the movie. A perfect balance imho.
We loves it. We watched it once and already loved it. Not because it's well received or some fanboys said so but simply because we can actually dig it under our own criteria.
The Statue of Liberty mention was actually an Easter egg because the motel Laura stayed at was the "liberty motel" with the Statue of Liberty representing it.... that's why professor X said there was mutants there
EL1TE K1LLS That's not an easter egg, that was foreshadowing. Logans response of "The statue of liberty was a long time ago" however was a reference to the first xmen movie.
Yes, also interesting because Logan was the only one who remembers the battle during the first X-man movie because he resets the time line. That's why he looks confused when Xavier mentions it. It was both a easter egg and foreshadowing
anyone understood that the adamentium bullet came from the revolver of stryker from "origins"? he only shoot 5 times but had 6 bullets, and logan took it at the end
I hope it's the real end. Don't get me wrong, I love Jackman's Wolverine, but this movie... Damn, this is by far his best. I almost fucking cried at the end. Let him rest, he earned it.
The best part when I was watching Logan was when x-24 chopped the cowboy dude heads off and the audience was like "oh shit" and the other cowboy in the movie was like oh shit
wtf were u even listening to the movie? mutantes were the evolution of humans , but that bad guy changed corn so it eliminited the x gene , are u a true fan ? because they say it in the movie
battlegames 45 FUCKING THANK YOU. This also goes for all the people saying that the adamantium is to blame for Logan's failing healing factor (it was also the corn thing, the adamantium poisoning is just the result). Shit for that matter, all you people bitching about Caliban being played by two different people despite the time difference between his two movie appearances being enough to change Xavier from MacAvoy to Stewart! Jesus did you even watch?
I can't have been the only person who watched Logan who spotted the Scrubs easter egg, in the son of the farmers bedroom he had a poster for a movie called Dr. Acula
For all u haters.. this was the best wolverine movie ever made.. if u don't like it don't see it but don't spoil it for others.. maybe make a movie ur self... it had blood, gore, new characters.. a finish to a fine franchise... I was satisfied..
You got the statue of liberty thing wrong. He was foretelling the liberty motel where he finds x23, Logan even gets it when he looks at the sign in the movie when he arrives and grimaces. Logan got that wrong when he said that already happened, like you mentioned.
Logan said the X-MEN are gone. It's never clearly said that ALL the mutants are dead, if Caliban(sp?) was still alive, other adult mutants might still be alive in other countries or in hiding in other states...
Ebner Hazeodkovich where are you getting your info? Daken is wolverines actual son biologically. X 23 is just a clone created from his dna. So they are not the same
In Westchester, Professor X had one of his seizures that wound up killing the other X-Men. They pretty much said it in the movie. There was an I mystery about it.
There's a name on one of the tombstones that says "Evan Peters" - now we all know that Evan Peters is the actor who plays Quicksilver in the last few X-Men films.
Mistake the Statue of liberty reference in the movie is mistaken by logan to be the great battle but is in fact the sign of the hotel where the kid is staying with the nurse
Was it just me!!! Or when xavier says mutants are way at the liberty he is actually referring to the hotels name and not the actual Statue of Liberty! Did you guys catch that? all these videos talk about the statue but I think he meant the hotel where his daughter was staying.
that is what charles meant but logan was the one who interpreted it like that hence why he said it was a long time ago....that is why logan has an aha moment when looking at the sign because he knew what charles actually meant.
This would explain the timeline differences because that battle may not have happened but Logan is the one who travels in time and remembers the "old" timeline
He also missed when before the guy got shot, he was introduced as the guy responsible for the death of mutants, hinting at a virus the killed all the mutants and possibly made wolverine sick.
Gene Pronty Logan was sick because his healing factor was diminishing with his age, the adimantium (sorry for the spelling) covering his bones caused metal poisoning. This affected him since he was injected with the stuff in Origins, but it didn't hurt him at all because of his healing factor. He referenced it sometime in the movie and is in the comics also. Old Man Logan is the main basis of this movie and talks about it too. His healing factor has been slowly decreasing since The Wolverine, he's not actually immortal, he can still die it's just his healing factor slows down his aging
What about the horses reference? Laura's t-shirt, Laura playing on that horse, then she has a little horse on his hands, then the horses in the road when Xavier controls him, the horses prizes on the bedroom
There is other New Mutant in the movie, Jilean Keller, Hellion. "Jilean" is one of the names That X-23 says to Logan in the car, probably is the boy with telecnetical powers
I've watched like 5 of these easter egg videos and some that try to figure out what happened at the end of the film, and I find it weird that all of the videos speculate as to what was awaiting the mutants over the border, but NONE of them mention Genosha; the country run and founded by Magneto as a safe place for mutants. Magneto is not mentioned in the film as having died and according to apocalypse and dofp its clear that he never joins xavier again. But at the end of apocalypse he seems to share a little more of Charles optimism, with a plot-line revolving around finding a safe haven for mutants where the mutant hating cyborgs with metal arms can't hurt them why has this possibility not even come up???
"probably" doesn't cut it, if he's not shown or mentioned to be dead then he isn't. Logan's knowledge of his status is irrelevant, I'm talking about why the youtubers aren't bringing it up as a possibility seeing as the film shows no evidence of magneto not being around. I'm not asking why Logan doesn't bring up Magneto and Genosha, I'm asking why the makers of these kinds of videos haven't brought up the concept and it's similarities to Eden in the film.
I have one stupid question, are they gonna make new X-men movies with those kids?? because theoretically they killed X-23 by giving her an adamantium skeleton at such a young age, she won't be able to grow.
Jean Philippe Lokrou, wolverines entire skeleton is coated in adamantium and he has lived with that for a loooong time. So theoretically, she still has a ways to go before any metal poisoning begins to truly affect her. Not to mention, only x-23's claws are coated not her entire skeleton. Which in turn, should make it take even longer for it to effect her.
Jean Philippe Lokrou her whole skeleton wasn't coated, just certain areas. she can still grow. they did it in a way so that it didn't affect her growth
which means she is way vulnerable though she will never take damage like wolverine can even if she does have healing factor without the protection of adamantium around vital organs like the heart or especially brain could she not die super easily?
guitarman0365 that adamantium isn't used to protect vital organs. Logan and X-23 can typically heal from wounds that would kill us many times over. The metal protects against decapitation and dismemberment.
whats a "true fan", you don't need to be an expert on the source material to be a "true" film fan, you comic book guys are such geek-jocks, letting everyone know that we're not real fans because we can't pick out some silly little easter eggs
mutants didn't just stop.... xander price, eliminated mutant kind, by adding x-gene suppression chemicals to drinks and food. he says that when talking to logan at the end
The part with the Mutants being the next step in evolution is actually still true you just didnt get it. The evil professor dude created something that he put into a corn syrup to stop and/or suppress the mutant gene so they dont show their powers so he could control them.
The only scene I remember where they mention the statue of liberty is when Xavier tells Logan that the new mutant is "in the statue of liberty" but then you see that the motel Gabriela and the girl were staying at was called "Liberty Motor Motel"
ok guys ive not seen the movie yett... but as far as a thery about the voice on the radio telling the kids to meet him in canada here is my thought on who the voice is... i dont think its scott summers... i think its Cable... think about it... the deadpool 2 trailor at the beginning of the movie, with the sign that said Nathen summers Coming soon.... i remember reading a comic years and years ago about the intro to deadpool was coming out with cable cable was on a two way radio talking to some one but there was somthing that happend and cable left some one incharge i wanna say it was storm but dont quote me on this but cable was called away and had to travel to go help Wade willson I.E. Deadpool out of a Jam that was going to end the world if he didnt get some help and if i remember right it was right about the time Logan I.E. Wolverine... not trying to Ruin any ones fun or any thing but lets not forget Stan Lee own Marvel. thats his baby so why would he change a thing...
I watched Logan on the 25th 0ctover 2017. I enjoyed that movie a lot and it was one of the film's we didn't expected to be this good unlike before. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch it.
Hmm. I thought the statue of liberty was a direct reference to the first movie. And I thought DoFP re-wrote history so that only Logan would remember the first three Xmen movies?
As a movie, overall it was good - as a fan of the characters and understanding of the stories it was not satisfying and heavy blunders - so I treated it as just a movie with no attachments and it was good.
Craig O neill yeah it definitely wasn't perfect but my only problem with it is that it just didn't give enough back story and it didn't show what happens to Laura after Logan dies.
Me either. I am no conspiracy theorist but I think all these reviewers were paid to boost this movie and fans have been waiting for so long that we (they) jumped on board. This was slightly above average.
**SPOILER ALERT/LOGAN THEORY** Sooo I don't have the greatest of memory with these types of things, but I have been watching several videos talking about Logan easter eggs and potential future plot lines. There is one detail that I haven't heard anyone touch on yet that I'd like to hear more about. It was a subtle detail in the movie I barely believe I noticed it, but I'm POSITIVE it is legit (too many connections made in the movie hinting at it). Each video I've watched talks about mutants not being born anymore (one even used the terminology of Dr. Rice "cornering the market on mutant weapons") but no one has said HOW. Rather than jabbering on, from what I understood in the movie it is the CORN!! When Logan helps the rancher/farmer Munson go fix their waterline, they have a conversation about this cooperate grown CORN; but people aren't eating it off the cob, it gets into their digestion as CORN syrup when they drink soda and eat sweets..... Dr. Rice brings this up again near the end when he starts "monologuing" to Logan. I am paraphrasing, but he mentions something like "we learned how to suppress the mutant genes through things like soda, etc;" (hinting at CORN syrup)..... I think this also helps to understand the "Logan" movie being part of the original 3 X-Men movies, since they would have contained the most painful memories in Wolverine's life to lead up to the despair he feels (rather than it getting wiped away by Days of Future Past) AND X-Men Last Stand brought about the discovery of a "CURE" (starts with a C just like CORN; coincidence? I THINK NOT!!) for the Mutants. After the destruction caused in those 3 X-Men movies, it is believable that the government would take the freedom to choose from the mutants as to whether they want to be cured or not, and force their genetics to conform to their wants. How do I account for Xmen: Apocalypse's credit scene???? Who cares; it's all speculation on my part anyhow... I just want to hear more about this CORN!!!!
Along with the katana reference to 'the wolverine', there was also the fact that the villian says in response to logan saying its private property, that it was owned by a multinational japanese corp, assuming this is the corp run by the chick in the wolverine.
So, I'm not a comic book fan, please tell me, does Caliban also have a power that drastically changes his accent? Re-watching Apocalypse yesterday I couldn't place the accent, it seemed quite pan European. In Logan... I have to say speaking as a Brit it's difficult to get away from Merchants distinct Bristolian accent. Why would a man who spent in the 80's in what I think was supposed to be Germany (presumably West Germany) then the late 2020's in either north Mexico or a Southern US state have such a strong West country accent.
nah his powers are just locating other mutants, the accent differences are just different actors playing the character the way they think he should sound
The biggest Easter egg for me was picking out the Reavers, even though they weren't named. Donald Pierce was more southern than I expected, I kind of thought he'd have a posher accent, but maybe that's just me. I spotted Bonebreaker and Pretty Boy, but I wasn't sure who Macon was (one of the Hellfire club's goons who got chopped up by Wolvie in the comics) despite him being in the credits. I was hoping for more cybernetics too, as I always thought the Reavers were pretty terrifying in the comics, even though they tended to get their arses handed to them. Probably it comes from the comics where they captured and tortured Wolverine in their Australian base. That was pretty hardcore for me back then.
if they show it, it'll end up being mystique runs "up north"...remember she was stryker, so she knows about the facility in canada. she (in the movies) was unnecessarily important being that her blood made advanced sentinels, so maybe her shape shifting kept her from being messed up by the mutant killing food....i wanna know where is sabertooth
Well don't forget that the old man Logan timeline is set in 2029, so they could bring back wolverine if they wanted to, just it has to be before 2029 😂😭😭😭
