Thanks so much for watching! I hope you found this video on the first line of a book for children's books helpful. Be sure to find me over on Instagram & TikTok, so we can connect there as well!
Lovely examples. I think I got it right as my first children's book begins: "Once upon a New Years' Day, over the hills and faraway, in a little village called Merry May, the villagers awoke to find their fields and gardens full of froaks."
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I find it so helpful! I am in the middle of publishing a series of four books and I'm finishing up book 2's first page currently. I didn't have a very strong beginning at first but now, since this is a series, I plan to start each book roughly the same way. (I have book 3 and 4 stories written already as well, so all I have yet to focus on is illustrating and formatting it.)
Thank you for sharing these great tips! Always appreciate your insights. These tips are also useful for most social media, where attention-grabbing is also paramount!
Your tips and invaluable, thank you very much. When you read off a script, you may need to find a way to look at the camera, because otherwise, it seems a little artificial. Thank you!
Your videos are very informative and I love to see them all. But there is one thing that stops me. It feels hasty and you dont make eye contact with your viewers. I hope you improve these aspects in your next videos 😊
