These commercials aired on NBC on May 15th, 1982
1. "Saturday Night Live" Commercial Bumper
2. Arm & Hammer Cat Litter and Carpet Deodorizer
3. TV Spot for "Dead Man Don't Wear Plaid" (I haven't seen this but I like how faithful it looks to those old Warner Bros movies)
4. Pete McCloskey For Senator (He lost the primary to Pete Wilson. This ad is shot like one of those testimonial ads for pain relievers)
5. Miller Lite (With Ben Davidson)
6. "Saturday Night Live" Commercial Bumper
7. Michelob
8. Pac-Man for Atari 2600 (This is commonly regarded as the worst arcade port on the 2600)
9. Wild West Stores (Looks kind of like a Juicy Fruit ad but without all of the gum sniffing)
10. Volkswagen Rabbit
11. "Saturday Night Live" Commercial Bumper
12. Ultra Brite (I'm guessing this is from the late 70's and just aired for a long time)
13. TV Spot for "Wrong Is Right" (I have never heard of this and wasn't aware Sean Connery was in a comedy so I assume it bombed)
14. Audi Turbo Diesel
15. True Value Hardware Stores (I like the random sexy Cowgirl on the liquid nails packaging)
16. Promo for "Marco Polo"
17. McDonald's Quality Game
18. Milk (Apparently drinking milk didn't stop Jimmy Walker from buying hookers)
19. Breuner's
20. News Center 4 Promo (WHY IS A BUTTERFLY ON THAT JACKHAMMER?!?)
21. Turtle Wax Minute Wax
22. Memorex
23. Volkswagen Pickup
24. Coors Light
25. "Saturday Night Live" Commercial Bumpers
26. Velamints
27. Coors
28. TV Spot for "The Road Warrior" (Amazing movie with one of the all-time twists. I'm actually looking forward to the new one a little bit)
29. Castrol GTX at Chief Auto Parts
30. "Saturday Night Live" Commercial Bumper
31. Foster Grant ("Listen you psycho, I want my sunglasses back now! PRONTO!")
32. TV Spot for "Wrong Is Right"
33. TV Spot for "Annie"
34. "Saturday Night Live" Commercial Bumper

Thank you. I truly enjoy your channel. As an 80's, 90's kid, these commercials you upload take me back! Hard to believe we enjoy commercials? Keep up the good work.

Thanks! Without this channel I would have never known that "roller disco manager" was an actual job once upon a time...

I'm always shocked to hear that Pac-Man for Atari 2600 was considered a "bad" port. My family and I enjoyed playing it more than any other game back in the day!

Great to see another fantastic video from you. Let's see, the airdate here was May 15, 1982....I was born 23 days later.

How fitting you posted an ad break with Road Warrior. And in May nonetheless.

I thought that they'd return to that Pete McCloskey ad after the Lite ad to remind us that he was still going! We probably missed how he talked about Anacin having 600mg of pain reliever. Wild West, the taste is gonna moooove ya!

The day before I was born! I'm way more excited about this set of commercials than I should be!

If you were born on Sunday the 16th, roughly half of this video aired past midnight and on your birthday.

Did anyone expect Jimmie Walker to say the milk was 'dy-no-mite?' I did. There was an ongoing debate between my brothers and I whether the Volkswagen Pickup qualified in the game "Slug Bug." I felt, if it wasn't the Beetle or Van, it didn't count. The Road Warrior was such an epic movie. I'm also looking forward to "Fury Road."

Man, I was so disappointed when I got Pac-Man when it was released. I know I didn't play it much after that. I remember having the Atari Age magazine and being that I used to play Crazy Climber so much at the skating rink. I wrote to them about the possibility of it being ported to the Atari and received a letter that it couldn't be done because of the cartridge limitations. A few months pass (bi-monthly issues), I go to the mailbox, lo and behold, what do I see on the cover: www.atariage.com/magazines/magazine_page.html?MagazineID=5&CurrentPage=1 The magazine was available from '82-84 but you can view all 11 issues on the website. I was looking through the magazine and saw E.T. priced for $35.95. Holy smokes, what disappointment.

Atari Pacman, 2ed highest blame after ET for the Video Game Crash of 83, even though it was actually an overabundance of cheap low quality 3ed party games flooding the market.

Great upload! Atari Pac Man is just as bad as ET and maybe even worse. My friend had the game and within five minutes I developed the mother of all headaches. Its no wonder Atari went belly-up. Btw: Dead Men don't wear Plaid is an awesome movie. Well worth a look if you haven't already.

***** Nothing is as bad as E.T. but Pac Man was pretty close.
@Whtxombi

TerrickTerran Pac Man gets the top spot because of its headache-inducing sound effects. ET was annoying and frustrating but its sound effects were bird song as compared.

Atari Pacman, 2ed highest blame after ET for the Video Game Crash of 83, even though it was actually an overabundance of cheap low quality 3ed party games flooding the market. Atari never went belly up, but they almost did after the Atari Jaguar flopped in the mid 90s. They sold to Hasbro in 98, merged with Infogrames in 01, acquired "City of Heroes" developer Cryptic in 08. Then they almost went belly up again in 2013 when they filed for bankruptcy & survived by reducing staff & switching to online gambling & mobile games where they remain.
