8020 Accessory Review: GT Omega Prime Mouse Plate 

It’s now in it’s V2 state with countersunk holes and bolt’s.

I understand that it's annoying. On the other hand, consider this: (a) For the companies, it's a marketing tool. If just 3-4 people end up buying this product because of the video, it's already worth it for the manufacturer. So it's understandable that companies do it. And if a video is critical and doesn't help selling a product, well, they have a chance to learn from it. (b) Fairness: The mouse plate video alone took me about 4-5 hours to make. Generally it takes me >1 hr per minute of video that you end up seeing. Others are faster, but I test thoroughly, I write concise scripts, I try to capture appealing footage, and voice over recording, and editing also takes its time. Plus I make virtually zero from the views of this vid. Thus I'm "rewarded" about 5 pounds an hour for my work (which, by the way requires me to have my own expensive work equipment, i.e., the rest of the rig, the gaming PC, but also the camera and lenses, editing computer, software, etc.) Bottom line is I do this for the love of the game, to train my skills, to make good contacts in the industry, and it's another way of "working to (indirectly) finance this hobby". Overall though, I don't think you need to feel too bad about RU-vidrs getting sim racing stuff for free. ;-)

@@TheSimChannel no worry's it just leaves a bad taste to me personally. You have some good content on your channel, I have been in a bit of a bad place with my own demons of late & let my mood get the better of me this time, I appreciate the hard work you guys who make this content do.
