for the community software, are you guys using chatGPT for helping coding? What are your thoughts on using it? (based on the amount of energy used to train it). I personally used it but I wanted to hear from you guys that are more considerated in that regard Thanks for all what you guys do Un abrazo!
I am definitely going to make myself useful fixing fashion. What a good idea to talk about all the projects of one army. I have a sister who works at a community centre to help people fixing clothes, and I think she will be interested too. Valeu gente, abraço para todos 😊
As a long time viewer I wouldn’t have a problem with you guys doing ads and sponsor bits. This is exactly the type of channel that needs and deserves such revenue. You are both educators and entertainers! ❤
these guys work for free, on just 5 euros per day .. they said it in the VIDEO Come on.. why should they have everything for free? I'm not against them, I wish success. but I just don't understand the thought process of these people ..? isn't that just Exploitation ?
@undefinednull5749 They don't pay them €5 a day. It costs that to feed and house them. Everyone who comes to Project Kamp is a volunteer, coming to contribute and to learn. Project Kamp's part of the bargain is to provide the volunteers with food and accommodation, should they need it, and in return the volunteers provide labour, skills, and their own expertise. That's how it works, and everyone knows this before they join. Most, if not all of them have outside/other jobs as well, especially when they aren't actually living at the project, so they have their own income if they want it. It's absolutely NOT exploitation, rather a two-way trade. No one is forced into it, forced to work or forced to stay. There is no coercion, no manipulation, and definitely no exploitation! If you read more of the comments, you'll find that there are many, MANY, people wanting to go to the camp and provide their services, skills and knowledge, for only their food and accommodation in return. That is NOT the definition of exploitation!
I showed Project Kamp in the high school I teach at, and used it to talk about sustainable living. The children loved it and got really hooked on the project. Keep doing great work!
I'm very excited to see the ads on your channel! I know that the income from the ads will push your projects to the next level so I believe you have everyones support!
Would you consider having some type of behind the scenes update like this more regularly? However you decide what's realistic, and sustainable within yall's circumstances, I will continue to watch Project Kamp grow. Your level of professionalism and dedication is to be commended. I'm impressed with what appears to be, a safe and enjoyable environment yall are trying to provide for all and learn from your experiences. Your solution oriented approach earns my respect.
Agree, it reminded me of the way we used to cook at a coop I lived in when in Ann Arbor. Learning to cook for a large group is a great skill and really fosters community!
I think subscribers understand that you guys need to incorporate ads. I watch another channel that's totally different, but the way they incorporate ads is quite funny. They create small skits that I don't skip because they're so entertaining.

@@kingcace He's saying that the volunteers at Project Kampf shouldn't work for free / just 5 euros a day when they're the reason why the channel is thriving & the camp is growing in the first place. I do agree with this, but paying them a full wage would be a little harder, especially since I doubt anyone in the team knows how to manage finances at such a level.
I think most of us viewers will be happy to watch an ad since we enjoy all the cool stuff and I think we all understand that you can't do it without the money.
you guys continue to amaze and delight me every week. I am so excited that your video got 1M views so quickly! Soon you will have that many subscribers!
I'm agreed with your thoughts on ads. I mean if it works for you guys for the upcoming project, no need to ask we'll gladly support it.. At least thats the only thing we can do apart from becoming patrons...
Proud of you guys!. I have followed you since the early days of ¨Precious plastic" version 2 and watched every single step one army has achieved, we can´t imagine the amount of work and effort that is there behind the scenes, impressive. This types of videos shows the quality of people you are and the strength of the principles behind the entire project (opensource and human aspect), should make more (communities need them, a lot of useful info). You fuel us with hope, keep it going. Big hi from Colombia, in my next travel to Europe, I hope I can join for a while :)
I think when people said "behind the scenes", what they meant was more like down time together... like eating and going to bed and entertainment and just relaxing activity
One thing I would say from my own perspective is that it is already quite hard to 'switch off' from work mode on Kamp and to feel like you have your own personal space. At some point I feel you need to draw a line between what relates to the project and is shared and your personal life which also happens to be lived on kamp. As a community we do like the behind the scenes type videos though so I'm sure there'll be more of them in future which may include more of the social side of things.
I'm sure a lot of subscribers will be supportive of the ads structure. We want to see you grow as much as you guys do and having ads on YT will be a great help financially to be able to overcome a lot of these bigger projects which in turn gives us viewers more amazing content!
I really enjoyed this episode, a lot of information and is so detailed, I now understand a lot more about what you are doing, I have been watching from the very start but I don't often comment I am subscribed and I always Thumbs up, keep up the good work.
I just wanted to tell you guys that every time I watch one of your videos, when it ends, I notice how much calmer and unstressed I feel compared to before it. I don't know what it is, but you're definitely doing something right! Thank you!
I really liked this type of "behind the scenes" video : ) I would also watch more of a vlog (a typical day from different perspectives like a cook, a builder, an editor ...) if any of you are up for that.
So happy I came across your space on the internet. My best friend and I have been dreaming about starting a community of our own and all of you offer such practical non-intimidating insights on doing it. Thank you!
if i had the money to come over and help i so would. visit the place i came from but never have visited. Portugal. how awesome would it be to wake up and pimp out the property every day. literally a dream
their so much more interesting project coming from this channel for sure, not skipping ads the way i can support,am waiting every monday for the new video..
Wow, It’s really great job done, and plus give knowledge sharing ideas on how to do things in best, simple way without hiding no secrets. You All are Awesome Team and Talented God Gifted. Cheers.
So very interesting, love that you make you’re own bread. Pizza night is great. What you guys are doing is amazing and I e enjoyed watching your progress.. it just goes to show what you can do with recycling in so many ways to make the world a better place. So many can learn from you. Thank you and keep going 👌
Guys, don't worry about ads. So many RU-vidrs have them on, it's super easy to skip them and doesn't bother most people. Some leave them till the end of the video in which case you can just close the video (or watch the ad I guess).
I think putting an ad to your videos is a good move, since when I watch your video, it feels like I'm watching a netflix series so I have to relax myself and get some snacks while watching.

Wow, I had no idea of the bigger picture of one army ! That's awesome 👏👏👏
If you were to smolder rosemary it would get rid of your fly and all flying things issue. It works inside and out and is very easy to cultivate near the areas people congregate. It is extremely effective.
What you guys are doing is incredible! If I were 30 years younger and not disabled, I'd come and stay and help out for a week every now and then! I've been following for a couple of years. Keep up the amazing work! I hope this concept spreads!
I'm not gonna lie. I want to go on vacation there for couple of weeks and just help out! Looks also a good place to find peace with yourself. So many places to relax, think about life and learn new things from the people around you! Just what i need ❤
Bravo to the whole team, video, kitchen doing just an awesome job we see you and love you. Feature these teams more in your future videos! This project is worth following for the process of working on solutions to the Kamp. Fantastic team and idea here toward working together to share in a community environment as this is our future! This is what my project is about sharing modeling idea around economic opportunity to grow capital or not lose it. A collective is the road ahead but one that is free to drive their own road together! I feel you can use RU-vid and the internets community of other community ideals to grow The Kamp far outside your walls! Its this ideal about breaking down walls and understanding the power of the global community! The Kamp can empower this ideal beyond its walls! Press ON!
With a bit of seasonal gardening those costs per meal can easely be brought down to 50 cents per person. Yes I know, there is a lot do to and I recpect the choice of not having vegetable gardens yet, but this is my way of saying that I miss them in the Kamp project!
I've followed this channel for 2 years I think. This video was. extremely helpful as I've always wondered how you would make such a community work. Very informative. I really like knowing that Project Kamp is part of the larger ONE ARMY thing. More stuff for me to investigate!! Awesome!! Thanks so much !!!! 😃
Quality of videos is rapidly improving imho. What ever you have been changing or what you are doing it right now, it has a clearly visible result to my eyes.
I would love a week or two helping/learning. Not much of use since I'm a DW developer but I have common build/repair skills. Used to cook for a family of seven but not vegan or bread making. Fun learning experience and possibly help out in some way(s).
It would be great if you could please involve the cooking team in a few future videos? I would love to see the full process of meeting the farmers, buying the produce, preparing the meals, etc.
i think ad's would be a wonderful idea and great way to raise funds for the project! :) i enjoy watching this like a TV show so it's totally fine to have ads

@@undefinednull5749 well i guess the answer is that this project is basically a prototype of a more sustainable living and volunteers who want to experience or want to help create this community dedicate their time and effort to help. it's not about getting paid, people don't view joining the basekamp as a job, it's about the project itself and its purpose that appeals to the people, including me.
We always look forward to the next Project Kamp video. It's a great way to start our week. We try to watch during our Lunch & Learn mealtime, or during dinner if we don't have internet access during lunch break. So happy to see your progress and the awesome people who make it all possible! Commercials for products that align with your purpose & values would be fine with us. Every project needs funding sources, and sometimes multiple sources. One suggested product advertisement right off the bat would be Makita cordless tools, starting with your chainsaw. You seem to have had good results with your Makita battery powered tools, so that is, in fact, a kind of real world endorsement. Might as well monetize that. Another might be your solar power system and its various components. This system seems to be serving you well, so might as well advertise it as well. Obviously GoPro cameras and your other digital cameras are a no-brainer too - they can be considered Project Kamp tested & approved. It would be a nice touch to advertise your local suppliers too, for food, building materials, custom tents, shipping container movers, etc. These could just be "freebies" as a way to say Thank You to local businesses who have helped you along the way. And, while you are at it, maybe some advertisements for the skilled volunteers who have come along and done great work at Project Kamp. Those would be honest endorsements as well. What we would hate to see is those BS ads that RU-vid would stick in that show truly cringeworthy products & services that are incompatible with the sustainable community values that are the backbone of Project Kamp. Even the greenwashing ones that try to polish up the image of some really awful companies. Please stay with a clean revenue stream that is beyond reproach. You are a role model to more people than you will ever know...
I think these videos about "Behind the scenes" should be someting done at least two times per season. It's really nice to see the people who make some things so important. I would LOVE IT to see a part of the video about recipes and how they made, for me is a interesting topic to replicate, so the "open source" in this matter really peakes my interest.
Truly enjoy watching what you do and how. It's really a beautiful community. I'm certain that more will join you with ideas, skills and will to make the world a better place 🙏👏😍☺️
Thanks for this video. It was great seeing all the behind the scenes stuff. I've been following for awhile now and never really understood that you were part of a bigger project globally.
I always watch full adds before the video! I know that helps with monetizing, not skipping ads. It's the perfect time to sit and grab a coffee and get comfy before the video starts.
these guys work for free, on just 5 euros per day .. they said it in the VIDEO Come on.. why should they have everything for free? I'm not against them, I wish success. but I just don't understand the thought process of these people ..? ? isn't that just Exploitation of everyone who works there ? ?
Have you thought about doing a podcast? For the die hard fans? Something like Project Kamp after dark with a bit more behind the scenes etc. Would be easy to get adverts into to generate income
You spoke about ads. Many of the people I watch on RU-vid get a LIQUID DEATH sponsorship. I recommend this because they are anti-plastic waste and often they sponsor in a non aggressive way by just having a can on screen with no mention of the product which would be easy to integrate without people having to read a script. ✌️♥️
So interesting to see behind the scenes! Thank you for documenting everything. I didn't know about the community platform but would love to try it this winter when our community here in Canada takes a break. And the new Patreon 4k perk is awesome!
One channel that integrates adds in a really fun and cool way is Evan and Katelyn... maybe yall could use it as inspo (the project is super cool would definitely watch adds if it help yall) :)
Good video, timely and showing the organisation required. I loved the human hour and fridays stuff. Its great you can do all this and avoid the clichés and management rubbish that can creep in. No "blue sky" thinking here , just common sense, consensus and action. I love your involvements with local shops, farms and community's.
