You guys did Ron dirty by not giving him the hit on the second race. C8 should’ve won for sure. When somebody jumps and wins I think you should always give at least the hit to the other driver.
When someone jumps he must be considered disqualified/loser. Its all over the world like this with all competitions, from 100m running to the drag races etc. Played dirty, no respect....
@@Jan_Boris It’s not a huge deal to me. This Vs That isn’t exactly a formal competition and is more just fun with random vehicles and donuts. Almost all of the drivers aren’t professionals and they aren’t racing for stacks of cash or anything. I do think if they gave Ron the hit on the second race it would’ve been more interesting. Nobody likes to see a cheater win and hopefully Hoonigan will do better in the future.
@@SHUBHAM_675R Yeah, this was the first time I went back and watched in .5 speed to confirm what I saw. That Bug was hyper jumpy. Great matchup though.
@@highappreciation7171 certainly is the case here lol but line em up on the tree and that’s two red lights in a row for the bug. I’m not denying chase is a race but then arms didn’t even start to drop before he left. Maybe a little foolish on both their parts since the vette decided to try to run him down.
@@Huxley2022 oh I understand my dude haha he jumped hard both times and it wasn't a clean race but I think he knew if he didn't jump he would've took the L. I understand and agree with your point but, he knew 😉
Well, Hert doesn’t do that much, if he gets squished it’s a loss. But if Suppy got run over, Hoonigan would never complete anything again. Just kidding Hert, nothing but love & disrespect for you.
Would have been nice to see an actual fair race. I'd say, the Vette won every race since the Bug basically red lit... If you feel you have to jump to win you must be too scared to lose!
Chase is a race sure but in my opinion, for the purpose of the videos, we should avoid jumping 👌. I feel it lost my interest bcuz I was waiting for a good race after round 1 and nvr got it 🤣
First would have gone to the C8, but the second would probably still have gone to the Bug. The difference at the finish line was to bit to just the be jump. Third would have been close again, but most probably would still have gone to the C8. The gear changes are just so critical with that Bug. Well that and keeping all four on the ground as the CG is so far back. But the slightest hesitation when shifting gears costs time. All in all a fun glimpse into how it's not just the effect that counts.
I know how y'all run this but, C8 wins. The Bug driver sent when hands pointed up both times. "Chase is a race" sure. But not giving the C8 the hit second round kills this one for me.
We need donk drag racing, you brought all kinds of amazing cars, but we need to see your donk vs the world's fastest donk, who knows maybe traction will help you guys
hell yeah, good race, i drove a 1960 chevy bel air V8 today guys, its been sitting for 7 years and my job was to get it back on the road, it passed its safety inspection {m.o.t} today and is road legal. it has just under 50k on the clock and from what i can gather from m.o.t history its been in england since 2006.
so this is street racing. and their rules are chase is a race. if you want, go to any street racing you can find and see what their rules are. no such thing as red or green on the street boss.
@@danielweston8059 I'd rather just give the moron the hit, if I believed in "street racing". Again, not knowing how to race, doesn't make you a winner. Cheating is ok when the other guy leaves on time? TF outta here with that weak bullshit 🙄
@@danielweston8059 literally red and green on the streets what you mean?! We go on green in every county I know in Dallas, highway pulls aren’t street races, dig or it ain’t a race.
Imagine if the vette had a 4.6 whipple and also jumped the line lulz he would’ve won by 10mi it’s such a stupid race to begin with, sub 500hp vs 850hp with driver who double jumps? Pathetic race
Just imagine if he didn't hit the rev limiter in every gear and remembered to shift. Also 850hp on a 4.5 Whipple with race gas I feel like is not necessary.
I didn't hear if the engine was built or not but I do agree it's a bit much but I'd call it conservative rather than overkill. I bet that engine is very safe and super reliable especially with the race gas. Probably very little timing in the tune and I bet she runs like a champ ALL the time. I bet pulley'd down and some timing in the mix she'd make big numbers.
I totally get the chase is a race thing for normal racing, but for a show that's supposed to be about the cars I don't think it's really the best idea and this shows why. It's hard to know which is faster now, because none of the races showed them taking off at the same time. It takes away some of the fun IMO.
General rule is "A chase is a race", so even though he did jump both times, Ron still chased him which counted it as a valid race. If the buggy jumped and the vette just sat at the line, the vette would've got a win both times. Whether you think it's a dumb rule or not, they both know the rules so it's fair play
@@justinbuker7511 and before people ask how you spend a grand on snowmobiles... you are one stump, roll, or big send away from dropping a grand on repairs. Ask how I know 😉
The design on the C8 looks so nice I honestly thought it was OFF-WHITE inspired at first Even cooler to find out what the design was really inspired by
So, we have for sale here a beautiful C8, lightly driven, no launches, tires are like new, motors like new, garage kept, never tracked. $170K firm, they know what they got
Yeah he jumped but the guy its DRIVING the hell out that configuration every race. Dont forget that. Shifting like a maniac big props. Wonder if better tyres would brake the axles. If not that would be a nice rematch
Race idea! 2 fast 2 furious style: both cars start at the 1k line, race to the start, drive around a barrel and race back to the 1k finish line. Probably would work best with slower cars
Edmunds has a race called U Drag, where it basically let's them do a standing quarter mile, a quick grip test, and a rolling quarter all in one race. Kinda wish they had a hard line to follow in the corner U part so both cars could get a more accurate handling measurement
