@@onelonleyfarmer Sounds like he got played by one of those videos where they tell you to drain your coolant so your engine stays warm in the winter lol.
This dude is so jealous of Wes and his successful million dollar business. Some people, I'll you what... I'm pretty sure he has the hots for his wife too. He has commented in other videos about Wes' wife. Sad story really. He is one of those people who are completely oblivious to the world around them and whats going on.
I don't want to sound like a know it all, but I am a John Deere mechanic, The filter restriction sensor is a well known problem, John Deere has updated that sensor several times. John Deere says the older sensor had a problem with the terminals touching each other randomly inside the sensor body. The newest part number is RE519430, the newest number has been working the best so far, but I have had to replace a few of even the new ones. That same sensor is used on alot of machines all the way up to the brand new ones. As far as the IVT reverser lever, if the code is just "lever not in park at startup", or something similar I wouldn't worry about it. Reverser levers do go bad electronically occasionally. Armrest Control Units are also very common to go bad in 30 series and early R series. An ACU has to be programmed by the dealership though, almost all John Deere control units come blank. Also a warning, do not use compressed air to blow dust from inside the armrest console, that is because the armrest control unit is very sensitive to static electricity. When you buy a new one they come in a tin foil bag designed to stop static electricity with a big warning about it on the bag. Love the videos Wes, been watching for years, if you need information or schematics or something, let me know I would be happy to help.
Welcome to the real world of what some stupid little parts are starting to cost. Now Imagine they tell you that part price for a tractor that's worth 10K or it's obsolete and you can't find a good used or jobber one to replace it and there is several other parts at similar prices you need to that are available. Lots of the older stuff I work on now I'm spending longer trying to find parts or take stuff apart to see if we can fix it without buying the whole part, that may be expensive . The other bad thing here in Canada we are finding is since the 19 sneezes we are waiting weeks for parts and they are wrong when we get them for some reason ! Thanks for the video
I've telling people for years that partially used filters filter better than new ones and they always laugh at me. Which has always made me chuckle because if they can't see why they can't be particularly bright. This is especially the case for air filters of course. It does increase resistance to airflow of course which, if excessive will light the light and cause an axial load on the turbo turbine bearings, which is a bad thing. Its all about the compromises.
Damn!! When you asked us to guess the price I thought of something asinine in my mind for the cost. 959 is the number I thought was completely crazy for such a small piece. When you said 1400+ I damn near cried. Only in this current society could something like that exist. Good luck with your NC job!!
One reason why I will always prefer the old "Next Generation" JD series tractors. Rarely had those issues. Again, that's why I don't care for JD's new stuff. Too damned expensive to fix and most generally, always a sensor of some kind. Wes, I got a 1023e compact utility, apparently, every 100hrs the pto rocker switch breaks. Fixed mine by drilling a hole and inserting a woodscrew, works fine now. Great video, cheers :)
Brothers 8220 spring broke on him, all i did was pulled apart and stretched out old spring. That was 3 years ago. Still working like normal.. working pulling apart first IMHO...
Hi. I enjoy all your videos, How much Marvel Mystrery oil in your case ih, NH. Discbine cutterbar gear boxes?. You sure have alot of nice level land to farm. We have all side hills to try to hang on every day. Thanks, Mark.
If it’s already jiggered, you have nothing to lose by trying to fix it yourself. Although it could be one of those jobs where it’s pennies for a spring and days in labour with specialist tools thrown in for good measure.
You should find an enclosed semi trailer like a moving van trailer and set it up as a mobile shop to take with you and put a welder and air compressor in it and have an awning on the side and like i said set it up as a mobile shop to take with you on these big jobs so you can put tools parts and oil in just a thought
Completely off subject but if you watch cole cornstar’s last video you will have a good laugh. The agronomist checked his corn in the field, found every problem you mentioned about early planting and in summary said if it wasn’t so late in the season he’d recommend complete replanting.
Having a good parts guy is awesome I called to get a sedamint bowl for my kubota girl on the phone was like what u want a cinnamon bowls r u joking no I don't want an cinnamon bowl
@@SmallMartingale Nope comes with hiring know nothings, which female parts people at tractor dealerships usually are... not always, but USUALLY that's been my experience as well. Later! OL J R :)
@@lukestrawwalker No parts supplier of any gender has ever mistaken a sediment bowl for a cinnamon bowl. I'm no feminist but y'all are living in a fantasy
Wes wasnt the 8530 where you had problems with before? im thinking it was the load sensing valve before. Hydraulic filters arent clogged up because of nothing.. what implement did you have on it before it? Edit after fully view your vid im all in with your opinion about the sensor Maybe check the pressure of the charge pump.
Been having a fue problems with the bypass valves on the 30 series lately all the Ivts in the 6s get stuck open and u have hell of a job pulling them out the block through the floor of the cab, so if the 75 gets the same problem that’s where I would start
JD tax baby lol I'll take my old IH Farmalls any day. New Holland too for that matter. They find me parts and charger what they are worth. Cost me 1200 from New Holland to completely rebuild my NH 66 idiot pusher with factory parts. Pulled the plunger and all. As for IH they are proud of their fluid. Other than that no sticker shock.
Yeah what I was gonna say... Control unit, $1,400. Rubber band to hold the little stick over, 10 cents. You're welcome LOL:) Wouldn't be the first time I have engineered my way around a $700 module LOL:) Later! OL J R :)
Yellow triangle caution occasionally lit on and truck stops till this alarm goes off then start move again. Would you please assist to figure out this issue?
it is not the filters, it is the sensor. they dont last very long. we have one 8530 and two 8230 and i have changed the sensor og all 3 more than once RE576665
