Hi guys, I realized a small mistake in the video- I said that glycine helps to grow the villi in the small intestine and repair leaky gut. It is actually glutamine that does that. But don't worry, they are both found in gelatin! :)
your video lighting is really good but the audio is too high( high pitch) noise cancellation was not very good. it breaks the attention sometimes from your video plus hurts my ear (only in headphones) on speaker its fine. i know you didn't ask... also not trying to be smart... i don't know... i just felt to say it to you
@@nofantasyguy Hi Abu, thank you! Yes I know what you mean because I was bothered by it too, but couldn't figure out how to fix it. (Very frustrating 😂) Since then I started using a different mic and editing program. I think that annoying sound is gone in the newer videos but if you find it is hard to listen to, please tell me. I want them to be enjoyable to watch and not hurt people's ears! I know what you mean about being different on speakers and headphones too. The new setup fortunately doesn't seem to have that problem, and I try to keep improving over time :)
@@HackYourHealth Awesome! and i am sorry... i forgot to check your new videos....😜 may be after watching them i wouldn't have said any thing....😁😀 keep doing amazing work...😄😄
@@HackYourHealth Hmm... nah! audio is still not good... and i am really sorry to say that... Get Zoom H1 and a LAV mic. and also watch this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--1-3-VtfG48.html
Loved the video. I was searching for a video about gelatin because I saw a video of a 87 year old woman who had zero arthritis and who moved as if she was a teenager. She said that she takes a tablespoon of gelatin in her tea every night and that she’s done that since her mid twenties. She still works her own farm, completely pain free. But I didn’t know what she meant by gelatin since the only gelatin that I’ve heard of is jello gelatin. Your video has been very helpful in closing the gap. Thanks.
Thank you for good info. I make jello with 2 tablespoons of beef gelatin, 2 packets of LMNT electrolytes, flavor of choice, (it has stevia in it for sweetness) with 4 cups of water. I put in fridge and that's my desert every day.
Thank you very much for explaining this in an easy to understand English, with nice pauses. English is not my first language and I cannot understand when people talk fast and mumble.👍🏼👏🏼
Thank you for being so thorough, giving detailed breakdown of the usefulness of gelatin. I knew some of this information but you have greatly helped my understanding. Well done! I didn't notice any audio issues that effected my listening with headphones.😊
I have mild arthritis in my hips. Every night, all night, my hips and thigh bones would hurt so much that I’d have terrible sleeps! I bought a container of “Great Lakes” grass fed, non-gmo…. Gelatin online. I buy 100% blueberry juice and 100% pomegranate juice with no sugar added. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of gelatin in cold blueberry juice (1/2 cup) in a desert bowl. Then put another 1/2 cup of blueberry juice in a small saucepan plus 1 cup pomegranate juice…. Warm the juice in the saucepan on medium heat just till it gets hot, not boiling, then add hot juice to your desert bowl that has the juice & gelatin mix. Whisk together and put in the fridge. This equals 2 cups of jello. I eat one cup worth every day. In one or two days all my pain was gone! It sure works for me! I hope you try this.
Thanks 4 sharing ur weath of info. I've spent yrs learning 2 naturally heal from multiple auto-immune illnesses, & so knew the necessity of bone broth/gelatin 2 heal my gut so as 2 heal autimmune diseases. Though I knew of many other health benefits of bone broth/gelatin, you've added much more 2 my knowledge. Well done! Thankyou.
Thank you! I'm really happy to hear you have healed from 2 autoimmune diseases too :) Thank you so much for sharing. I'm glad to hear that bone broth helped you too.
I think it was very thoughful of the info provided. I also starting taking gelatin for a while which I intend to still consume of the situation that I had. Thank you for the additional infor.

Been making 🍒 Jello with plain Gelatin. Tastes great and good for the joints. What's your take on taking Gelatin and Collagen powder at the same Time? Is this ok?
I think it is fine. However they are essentially the same thing. So it would probably be best to have both amounts together add up to the amount you want to take.
I drank bone broth and noticed the smoothest bowel movement every so I ordered my gelatin powder, which i put in my coffee every morning. Gelatin is tooted to be a more affordable option then collagen, and I don't think collagen has the added benefit of aiding the bowels.
Can you tell me How do you add Gelatine powder in coffee? I mean do you add it in later lile a sugar Or you add it while making espresso or blending the coffee +water + Gelatine in a blender?
Thank you Sara! I hope you find them useful. I haven't posted in a while but am getting things started again, so hopefully there will be some new content for you soon too :)
@@HackYourHealth hi and thanks, I'll be on the lookout! Sounds like we have some similar health issues, especially with the hair! Hoping gelatin will help with my spot! Hope you have a good day 😁
I made a batch of bone broth once. I have mostly lower back and knee pain. But I also have had gout attacks in my toe and a few times in my knee. So my plan was to start making bone broth. Long story short, the broth wasn't that hard to make, but a lot of cooking time is needed to get the gelatin from it. Mine turned out very well and gelled very well. I used 15 chicken legs. First, smelling chicken cooking for a couple days was not really good. Eating 15 legs worth of chicken per each batch of broth made...well, just not realistic. So my next thought is to buy some gelatin like the one you mention. I'm sure home made bone broth is best, but do you think the gelatin will also work well on its own?
That's great that it turned out so well! I totally understand though, that the time involved can be a challenge. According to all the evidence/studies/personal accounts I found yes, it is also helpful for joints etc! I think that bone broth of course is more varied in the nutrients since it is not refined etc. But gelatin itself is very good for the joints and I think if it's possible to use it consistently because of the ease of use then it makes a great alternative:)
You can definitely take them together! For gelatin, the recommended amount is 2 tbsp a day (from the package), one in the morning and one in the evening. How much bone broth depends on how you are using it. If you are starting a healing diet or in poor health and not eating much other foods, you may end up drinking it many times a day, and there is no limit. For joint health, digestive maintenance, skin, hair growth etc. generally 2-4 cups a day is suggested. Of course, even incorporating it into recipes is beneficial. I've been adding 1 tbsp of the powder to my coffee in the morning, and heating up 1 mason jar (probably 2 cups) of bone broth in the evening and that's a pretty manageable routine :)
However, I would also suggest starting with 1tbsp/day of the gelatin powder if you are going to take it all at the same time, and then increasing after a week or so, to let your body adjust to it. Not medical advise, just based on personal experience, starting with a smaller "dose" had a better result.
I pay $50 a month for collagen peptides , i also take gelatin , i used to take capsules until i realized i cud buy the raw gelatin powder ! I take 1 tbs a day.
Ideally it would be good to get it from food, by eating varied cuts of meat which include tendons and other collagen rich parts. You can also use it as a supplement, by mixing it with coffee or other hot drinks, including it in recipes, or you can even make jello with gelatin and fruit juice :)
Heyy I have been taking a similar thing to gelatin called hydrolysed collagen!! But I took it for few months with no results is there any difference? I really want to know what to take😅
Hi Marcus, according to the internet, 1-2 tsp/day is a good amount to supplement with, though it's better to start with less and gradually increase. I generally mix a spoonful into my morning coffee whenever I remember. There is no upper limit so far as I am aware but as with anything moderation is wise, and if you can eat gelatin rich foods like broth, tendon, etc, then it is preferable to a supplement in my opinion :)
I purchased Knox gelatin after listening to you and some others who recommend gelatin and I was wondering how much to take? A teaspoon in the evening, as one of the commenters below mentioned? Thank you.
@@HackYourHealth Thank you so much for the quick response! Hubby and I are going to add that to our evening decaf. I am looking forward to reporting back with good results!
Hi, and thank you for this video. I am curious if you think gelatin might help in healing hamstring damage ? The backs of my knees. and hamstrings are damaged and feel pretty weak. Besides exercise I am looking for a way to strengthen them.
Hey there! Yes, you can drink gelatin on its own, but you can also try implementing it into your other recipes. Since gelatin is a natural thickener, you can use it in desserts to get the desired texture. Gelatin is a great addition to healthy marshmallows, paleo pudding, cranberry sauce, keto chocolate chip cookies, and many other recipes!
Well, the gelatin is good for your skin. However, they may contain sugar or irritating ingredients as well, so it's not really an easy question to answer! :) But maybe!
Can anyone tell me except making homemade Jello, how can I consume Gelatine powder in my meals? OR can i take it in my tea ( add while preparing the tea, or i can add 1 tbsp like some people add sugar afte preparing a tea?) or any of the thing will Bind my food and makes it like jello to have it??
Hey u look soo sweet simple n beautiful but hmm am vegetarian so I'll have to suffer in cace i v hve n e of d liky gut etc but thank god am gud. Fr tnt west Indies.
Balkaran i am ashamed to say i come from the same country as you.You can barely spell or even construct a coherent sentence. From a country where education is free. This is what we get
You will suffer then. You would rather stay vegan/vegetarian at a cost to your health? ???? Humans are the most stupid out of all creatures on this planet 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
