00:00 🧬 Glutathione is a vital antioxidant that helps detoxify the body and protect against oxidative damage caused by pollution, chemicals, and other factors. 00:42 💊 Taking glutathione supplements is generally unnecessary as the body naturally produces it, except in cases of Tylenol poisoning where NAC supplements may be beneficial. 01:56 🚫 Symptoms of glutathione deficiency include sleep problems, fatigue, brain fog, mood disorders like depression and anxiety. 02:19 🍽 Causes of glutathione deficiency can include alcohol consumption, low-calorie diets, overtraining, and inadequate protein intake, particularly for vegans. 03:00 💤 Strategies to increase glutathione levels include consuming glycine-rich foods like organ meats, getting adequate sleep, and avoiding excessive exercise. 04:07 🍗 Ensuring intake of methyl versions of B vitamins, especially B12 and folate, can support glutathione production. 04:59 🥬 Vitamin C from sources like raw sauerkraut and leafy greens can act as a precursor for glutathione synthesis. 06:22 ⏰ Sufficient protein intake is crucial for glutathione production, and excessive fasting or low-calorie diets can hinder it. 07:05 🍓 Including a moderate amount of carbohydrates, around 50 grams, can potentially improve glutathione levels by supporting amino acid absorption through insulin regulation.
as a senior, I began walking on my mini trampoline with wonderful results! I have a stabilizer bar that prevents me from falling, I simply alternate the raising of my heels while my toes stay in place. I get cardio in just a matter of minutes. My lymph system is rejoicing! I highly recommend a mini trampoline, especially for seniors! Thank you so much Dr. Berg for being such a health crusader!❤
I have one too! I love the fact that if you are not as agile as we once were, the gentle movements improve not only the lymphatic system but the cardiovascular system as well. I rebound when I can, which isn't often enough. Alas, as a truck driver, I really don't have the space for one on my truck.
@@Suebearish in a fashion. But you stay in place on the mat. It actually stimulates all your muscles, as well as gently stresses them to gravity and then the slight negative gravity that allows for the lymphatic system to move fluids towards your core for processing and removal. It's pretty energizing too. Once you can gain your "legs" and stay balanced, you can add more difficulty by how hard you push down your feet and rise up. Who can be unhappy jumping on a trampoline, 😃
for some reason , I can't drink additional vitamins because vitamins enter the body naturally with food and liquid . Seasonally I eat fruits and vegetables , in winter of course I buy at the rural market ... I love fish very much...😊❤ Novosibirsk Siberia Russia
Take NAC everyday. Have for about 10 years now along with Alpha Lipoic Acid. Thinking about TMG. Which just so happens to be Trimethylglycine. Heard a lot of good things about it
I take all 3 of those. However I don't take NAC every day because I heard antioxidants blunt exercise recovery. Thomas Delauer recently made a video on TMG.
Your wood work is amazing and love your new studio setup, Dr Berg. Playing music and gardening are also relaxing and therapeutic. Thanks for your continuous dedication and support 👍🏻❤
Thank you Dr Berg…I’ve been on and off keto for years (mostly on) and benefited greatly from your videos over the years. I implemented carnivore Jan 1 and lost 40lbs in 10 weeks. Vertigo started a couple weeks ago. I reintroduced a small amount of carbs (salad) and the vertigo subsided.
You lost from January 24 until now 20 kilos? Impressive! Can you please tell me in carnivore how much fat you ate and if you did fasting with carnivore?
Low carb, or low protein diets can cause low levels of glutathione. Sleep poorly, anxiety, fear or Insufficient calories. I take NAC daily 600 mg and 5 mg melatonin each night. Im 73 and feel good.
Dr Berg could you please do more research on fasting. The late great Ray Peat says that keto is good for a lot of people, but once your body is healed from insulin resistance you should increase carbs and reduce fat, as our bodies really run better on glucose rather than fat. Even Dr Mercola has changed his ideas on proper nutrition. Keto or carnivore shouldn't be a life long thing. But a way to get back to normal eating.
Recently, There's a big news circulating related to some research in USA that says "Intermittent Fasting increase the chance of heart disease/attack by 91%". I'm really confused about it, I hope you'll clarify about that.
This video is for me!!! For about 15 years I’ve been on a supplement that contains the items to form glutathione after they pass the digestive system. (This can only be found online at one site). As long as I take this my chronic fatigue has been somewhat under control- but I have trouble getting good sleep and am depressed. You have helped me understand my situation better and now can look to my diet and lifestyle to hopefully get off the expensive supplements. 😊
I wanna thank Dr Berg for making videos about health for so many years. I’m from Kazakhstan, and I started watching him in Russian channel in RU-vid. And as a person that wached so many channels about health, I can say that Dr Berg is the best in this area without any doubt❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤THANK YOU DR BERG, can’t wait to see you personally❤
I switched my sublingual B-complex supplement to one with methylfolate. Music (the right kind of music - the message and the intention is very key, no matter the genre), journaling, arts & crafts, learning another language, and quiet meditation, have helped with stress management. Minding my sugar intake (the type of sugar and how much) has helped.
Hey Dr Berg the American heart association said that people that intermittent fast are at a 91% higher risk of cardiovascular death. Can you make a video on this?
I take a natural B complex, glycine, glutamine, and Nac. I eat berries and protein. I can't go that other stuff you want me to eat, not for me. But I think I'm doing fine. I'm never sick.
Hi Same with me it seems we are the minority here , so I also really do appreciate when he talks is specific on how to further enhance our healthy lifestyle and non flesh food choices 🌸👱🏼♀️🌸
The issue is that is NOT a healthy choice for Human Beings. Vegetarians lack full spectrum amino-acids without a HUGE over burden of carbs and calories. Humans evolved OUR place in the food chain by hunting and eating smaller animals, if you seek to eat like a Gorilla then you need to spend hours chewing and fermenting like they do with THEIR gut biome, but sadly you are cursed with being human.
Hey dr berg lots of love and respect to you from India. You have helped me to loose a lot of fat and that has transformed my life . I wanted if you can make more videos about top level fitness and keto i have been on keto from last 2 years and have made good progress in terms of both strength and endurance but recently a lot of people on internet have been telling that carbs are essential for increasing muscle mass or strength , carbs generate more quicker and short burst of energy , they are very anti cataboilic , anti cortisol. Etc Thanks
I was just at the Health Food Store To buy a bottle of Cod Liver Oil I also bought a Bottle of "Glutathione" Yet on watching more Of your videos , Dr. Berg, I realized how an Antioxidant may actaully Oxidize if it is not taken With the whole group Of Antioxidents that Balance it. So the Cod Liver was real Good Yet I learned to get My Glutathione from Whole Foods.
Exercise less! I'm the same age as Dr. Berg. I wasn't seeing muscle gains until I started working out less and taking the occasional week off. Now I do strength training 1-2 x / week and my cardio comes from the work I do on our ranch. I've seen greater increases in size and strength ever since.
Glutathione deficiencies are common amongst those who suffer from Ehlers Danlos syndrome (EDS). Have you considered doing a video about this genetic condition? It can be quite debilitating, has a long and diverse range of symptoms, and is believed to be hugely under-diagnosed.
Why don't you recommend taking supplements for this? I'm currently taking liposomal glutathione, NAC, glycine, ALA, and spermidine. Always interested to hear why I should add or remove a supplement from my stack. I'm also trialing catalase but probably gonna drop it after the bottle is done.
The study that associated fasting with heart disease specifically chose a group and i quote... "Scientists say they are more likely to be younger, male, non-Hispanic Black, have less education and lower family income, smoke, drink more alcohol, be food insecure, and eat less nutritious food, more snacks, and less energy intake overall." THIS CAME STRAIGHT FROM THE SAME STUDY. And they somehow generalized fasting as the problem...
Dr Berg I am pretty desperate. I can only eat 4 foods & have been for over 3 yrs (white rice, chicken, veal and 2 egg yolks a day). i have severe mast cell issues in my gut and gastritis. I am wasting away on this diet and wont be able to survive much longer. no one gets how desperate I am and my doctors dont know what to do. my LDL numbers are high , HDL is low and now heading to pre diabetes. i just started xolair to try to calm the mast cells as i cant take any oral meds or supplements. any suggestions? really appreciate any feedback .
Hi Doctor I take Nac daily and ACV literally cured a cough I had for 8 YEARS ! It took about a month but my cough is gone, and I tried EVERYTHING else prior to these 2 natural remedies. My question if you see this is why do internal skin whitening formulas have Glutathione as the main ingredient? Thanks again for all of your help over the years. Peace and many blessings to you and yours. 🌸👱🏼♀️🌸 Natasha
Ketosis increases glutathione levels! It has also helped me realize that my Android's operating system set my clock 1 minute faster than every other clock around me to keep up with my every move! No wonder the spell checker doesn't work correctly. Thank you, Dr. Berg! Have a wonderful day, everyone! 🙂
Everyday I look forward to your videos , learning new ways to get healthy and stay healthy . Thank you so much for all the time and effort and work you do ! Greatly appreciated .
Dr. Berg... Please tackle this new scare tactic of a hot topic that's been going around regarding "8-hour time-restricted eating linked to a 91% higher risk of cardiovascular death".
@@RD12349 It's the usual crap, it was NOT a real study, it was a summary based upon written diet-diaries (unreliable half-remembered what I ate last year...) not real IF and there was no details about what was eaten. Dr Ekberg and Mike Mutze (YT=High Intensity Health) rip that report to shreds. It was clickbait for MSM. I wonder why?
I really enjoy all your videos and you’re simply the best! I noticed you mention Knox gelatin a lot in your videos but wanted to know if it matters if that’s grass fed or not as you advocate for grass fed beef in all your videos. I learned about making this jello from you, but even I started looking for healthy recipes online, many recommended using vital proteins and Great Lakes gelatin brand bc it’s grass fed. It is so much pricier but I really wanted to hear your opinion, dr. Eric berg!
hey Dr. Eric berg watch almost all your vedios they're quite advantageous. do a vedio on "Eppiglotitis" causes and remedies, haven't seen any on your chanels. thanks in advance
I m a vegan and I have to recover myself for many years of sleep deprivation or a short sleep ....I do feel to work on sleep and get a minimum 7 hour long sleep to 8!
Dr. Berg how can i buy your products.like B3 etc. i have been taking purslane on and off for ? Oral lichen planes and it has helped. Tried going to ENT specialist but with no help but gave up. So i just want a list of your vitamin supplements and collagen supplements. Thanks
Dr berg would whey protein isolate be a good way to boost glutathione?i heard whey protein is one of best ways to increase glutathione,,i no you have said before whey protein isnt that good for you ,but due to mold exposure im really wanting to increase my glutathione naturally but cant tolerate normal glutathione or many supplements, was thinking of just doing whey protein for like 6 months?thanks 🙂
I don't recommend protein powders. You may want to consume higher-quality protein sources, like eggs, meat, and fish, which also have additional nutrients.
