'90 Chrysler's TC by Maserati | Failed Brake Master Cylinder on a Huge Failure of a car!

We get our share of unusual vehicles in the shop from time to time and this 1990 Chrysler's TC by Maserati probably is at the top of our "unusual" list. This particular TC had a failed brake master cylinder which normally wouldn't be a probably but with a limited production run of this car some parts were specifically manufactured for this vehicle making it impossible to replace some parts. The LeBaron shared many parts with the TC but brakes are not one of them. In this video, Brandon attempts to adapt a master cylinder from a LeBaron.

I drove a lebaron back in the 80s as a loaner car. Drove beautifully and seems quite luxurious. Kinda out of my budget though.

The master/booster assembly reminds me of what the Buick Grand National and some Alfa Romeos from the 80s used and it’s essentially unobtainable. Nice work modifying everything to work with available part. Thanks for the video!

Only one thing worse than a K car made by Chrysler, apparently is a K car made by Maserati. You have to wonder how and why Lido made this happen. Nice clear presentation, Brandon.

Oh, those things were absolutely junk when new. You could either drop a rock down a well or drive off a car lot in a TC and listen for which one hit bottom first.

Maybe do a little research on a vehicle you're working on. There is no vacuum pump in the ABS. There is no convertible hard top inner the removable hard top.
