This poor guy. This is what you call a bait and switch. I think Shawn needs to bow out of this relationship. It's obviously not what he wants. Maybe they can stay friends but this is NOT going to work. It's kinda sad.

Re the comments about him wanting to be with a man: he states multiple times he's attracted to men and women. He's had partners of either gender and been happy in those relationships. Alliya is happy in her newfound confidence and the introverted personality that first attracted Shawn might not have been her at her best. It sounds like he misread things. He wants someone shy and introverted, but she may simply have been depressed. Their personalities are no longer compatible and they both need to move along now. Tbh I don't see this as a trans issue per se. He's clearly stated gender isn't a problem. The transition though has been a big change and figuring that out (or breaking up) is what they'll have to work on.
