My '72 914 with Subaru EZ30D Water-cooled flat six swap, including 5sp Subaru transaxle. DOHC, aluminum head and block, VVT, 240hp and slick-shifting 5sp transmission. Scheel seats, Prototipo steering wheel, Clarion CD, 911 suspension and brakes, upgraded rear springs, smooth riding not rough, handles super.
Car runs and drives fine and has over 8,000 miles on the swap. City driving, highway, twisty roads. Never gets hot, very very quick, handles great.

LOVE the color! My favorite color for the AH Frog Eye Sprite. Hey check out LED light strips for your garage. I put Barrina LED in my garage and to like daylight in there now. Use so little power I hooked two into my garage door opener for added light when getting in and out of the car without the light switch turned on. Search for Barrina LED Shop Light, 40W 5000LM 5000K, 4FT on Amazon. Super easy install.

it was just a generic Flowmaster type muffler with custom piping. Yep tight fit but not bad. if I still had the car I would have re-done the exhaust

your car is awesome, the poor man's 914-6. how hard was the fitment of the Subaru motor?

It fits very nicely, most people do not even realize it isn't stock, to be honest, when looking at it. Custom cradle fits stock engine and body mounts.

Did you buy a kit or did you do all the mods yourself?

The engine cradle is custom made, the shifter is custom, the ECU is Megasquirt, radiator is custom with Spal fans, everything else is stock Porsche or Subaru parts.
