honestly you have to wonder if his coach handles his loads and techniques or even cares at this point lmao, even in powerlifting it seemed weight > technique, he’s been struggling with the same wrong movement patterns ever since he started lifting like hitching his deads, I get he is trying to entertain but this lift is beyond what’s acceptable even for “gym standards” just hope he doesn’t jeopardize his future.
Mad Camper this is a competitive lion we talking here. Don't act like you don't know these days you can't compete professionally and/or lift such weights without supplementing yourself. Now get out and never come back
Steroids aren’t a magical solution. Still takes very hard work. He doesn’t claim natty which in my opinion is respectable. None of these monstrous dudes are natural so I respect the ones who tell us the truth.
He coukd go for the record. The strength is there. I said that from the beginning. But like a classroom. Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you ceazy- the eagles.. .. 😎
Yep. But I wanted to see the 1000lb mixed grip no straps. I know that was his goal a year or so ago. His deadlifts seem more powerful without straps. But tore up his hand
@[ŸÜRÏ] 3 plates is already impressive to the average joe or noob at the gym dont compare yourself to guys who are on juice of course they're going to make your weight look like nothing
@@meaty_ochre you have your heel and your forefoot, its common for your weight to shift one way or the other during a lift meaning part of your foot can raise off the ground. This is bad.
Mark Boyd is going for the under 105kg deadlift record today. 400kg at 100kg bw. That will be more impressive than what Larry lifted. 4* bw v 3.4*bw for Larry.
Mr. Eminem but for a 70 kg guy this is like 150 kilos difference to 220 kg dead when a guy like larry weighs 125 its a 300 kg difference to 425 so he has to lift twice as much even though the bw difference between them is only 55 kilos.
It's not really good form to pull it up explosively like that, I'm not sure why he does that instead of learning proper form. He is probably going for some particular goal he has in mind as quickly as possible and will then quit to arm wrestling.
Hilarious how this dude can speak in kilograms and still sound like an extremely impressive weightlifter. If someone said they deadlift 425 you’d be like damn dude. Little woukd they know it ain’t pounds tho😂
Smaller than the biggest but there's a lot of guys with a similar frame. They just look a bit bigger because they carry more fat. Got that power belly.
@@isaacramsey845 For sure. There's no absolute advantage being tall or huge. All frames can do well given enough training (usually adding weight categories).
Anything loud and fast paced is great to lift too so either metal loud rock or good EDM is the best music to lift with. Finding a song that inspires motivation will make you lift that little bit better.
Nick Woolverton okay, worded it the wrong way. See I typed that comment right before falling asleep and i was in an irritable state, so my apologies. What I meant to say was it’s inevitable that he’s gonna end up like Ronnie Coleman at this rate. I wouldn’t wish anyone to be wheelchair bound, so i take that comment back. That was fucked up for me to say. No I’m not looking forward to it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes down that route. The human body is a machine designed to fail, and he’s pushed it past its breaking point artificially for so long, when it all does come crashing down, it’s gonna happen fast kinda like how cars can break one thing, you go fix it, and 100 other things break shortly after. It’s true for anything. Also just watching him lift, he did not have the strength for that. That hitch was intense. Yeah it would pass in a strongman competition, but then why not hitch all your lifts right? He’s very much chasing numbers and it’s obvious.
Larry if u get to 140kg/~310lbs range I think you would take a shit on all these other strongmen, you have such good natural strength man, keep on grinding i want to see on podium at WSM 2023 man!!!
@D Sam He was doing 300 something on one video. He did it for a few reps but just by his look, it was his 105% max. He might lift the 400 to his knees but I also don't see him doing it. I hope he does though.
This is a new Larry Wheels. Far more focused, far clearer headspace, far more personally established, and completely aware of himself ignorances aside. I am very proud to see this new fire in Larry and judging from what went down in this video below I see new horizons in Larry's wheels. Also I must also point out that the form in Larry's hitch during the 425 kg deadlift, I have never seen a hitch that clean from any strongman, typically they're backs are arched and bent, not Larry. Anyways great job
I'm so hyped by Larry. I feel he really has the potential to smash records for years... And to become a monster by the time he's in his thirties and more so 40s...
Pound for pound Larry has to be the strongest guy out there. I don't think ppl will understand how hard and really impressive it is to deadlift 3.4x your own bodyweight.
Great job Larry your a real dude and that's what makes you so likable iv been watching you for years but never subscribed but I ow you that good shit man keep it up
I'm sure it helps a pretty decent amount. I usually wear SBD knee sleeves when I'm squatting and I can definitely tell with just those on, how much easier my lifts are. Of course, we can't discredit the amount of work he's put in to lift that much weight but there's a reason why there are different competing classes. Someone with a suit on can't compete against someone that just wears a weight belt or knee wraps. Between his PED's, training, genetics and the suit he's definitely a beast!
I cannot believe how easy 180 is for him. Just exploding off the floor like there is nothing on the bar. Absolutely mind blowing! 180 is a heavy ass weight!
