@@Oxxyjoe i dont belive by anymeans that Alex is fine. I see the trump matches too and almost every match was totally decide whenever he plays alex. The problem is not alex perse but the dragons. Dragons are quite popular tag lately and there is soooo much good high cost dragons to pool with alex and too little bad or "meh" dragons in the pool.

yeah they will probably nerf a little some cards in the future not joking. Its helps that Queen Alex is also a very broken card because Dragon poll its insane good you get a Taunt and removal almost every Alex. And you get 2 dragons so you will never get a dead battlecry for not dragons in your hand.

Most of the things you named aren't part of his identity.The class identity is about how the class plays and not the mechanics it has acces to. In this case: big/wide minions, constant damage and draw. With the weaknisses being: big healing, big burst damage, hard removel and card generation.

Blake Mason, 8 taunt-restricted burst is not huge. Warlock has more than that in soulfire and nether breath, and warlock is a class that is not about burst from hand Lifesteal healing often requires taking damage, reducing its effectiveness a little

What do you mean already, demon hunter is meant to be as good of a class as the other classes, so it should also be ready to do highlander, same as most other classes in hearthstone are

@@Kappa123 except for the fact demon hunter has half the card pool of the available classes. DH has 45 cards to their name right now. Every other class has almost 70 atm in standard. I'd also like to point out the lack of like any neutral cards in this list.

Also he says it right, a new class should be as competitive as the other class, thats the right design. @@arifridwanabriyanto9286 The problem is that the cards are already at an insanely high power level. It can out draw, out damage, and out control most other classes. And it only has 40 or cards. Arena is ruined, not that anyone plays it, and demon hunter will have a winrate 10% higher than every other class at least. For example, discover effects are more likely to discover class cards from what i've heard. That causes a problem when every single card in a class is as good if not better than a card in another class. "But it just came out, it needs better cards" But next set it won't have just come out. In a year, it will be most likely the strongest class by even more because the classic cards are all so insane. And if they keep releasing 20 cards per set for this class instead of 10 in a year this class will have almost twice as many cards as any other. But no, keep ignoring the future problems. I mean, it's not like people will keep playing the game if blizzard makes this game even worse than they made overwatch. I guess i shouldn't be expecting much from the masterminds who decided to nerf cobalt guardian in battlegrounds by making a better version

There's so many illidan interactions with cards and other heroes I like that they actually put in the work to make the new hero feel like an actual character.

@@fire5ka i remember giants, and they were kinda cute. 4/5 was optional, 3/3 mech healing for 8 was better and u dont needed that much healing. Add to this lower power level of all cards and the deck wasnt that weak or playing garbage cards to keep being reno

That was never (rarely) the real problem. It's the inconsistency. But if you have enough different good cards, welp it's not that big of a deal.

It's a pattern, if you haden't noticed. The first set of a rotation is always very high powered to make up for the reduced card pool. It also help people get excited about playing, even if half of their deck is disappearing.

I won't pretend I already know whether or not these new cards are balanced, it'll be easaier to assess once the set has been out for a bit, but I will say it's not _necessarily_ self-defeating to hall of fame leeroy and then print similar cards for demon hunter. Leeroy isn't exactly OP, fireball is strictly better (perhaps outside of certain combos), but Leeroy is more oppressive because only mage needs to be balanced around having fireball, whilst all 9 classes needed to be balanced around having Leeroy.

What for? It barely held out against Embiggen thanks to drawing Skull of Guldan, Metamorphosis and Maiev with all the boardclears he had and even after that Dragonqueen Alex probably saved him in the end even after drawing so well. Zoolock will obviously lose against DH since DH was made to clear small boards and even +2/+2 isn't strong enough even in current meta. If it had synergy with Invoking 1/1 into 3/3 it could be considered, even though still bad, because DH has more than enough tools to clear wide boards which is the only thing Zoolock/Galakrond Warlock does and everyone will play DH because free cards, new class. That Shaman match was auto-win with any competetive deck, maybe even some meme decks... Shaman is the worst class and will remain as long as the Galakrond for him is nerfed.

Yeah if the stramers tryharded with Highlander Hunter and Resurrect Priest, AND still lost, then you convince me it needs a lot of nerf. Till then I consider it fairly powerful for meta and... maybe broken in Arena... ok that I admit will be an issue.

@Micah How much refining do you think Highlander Demon Hunter will need...? Just pick 27 Demon Hunter cards, 1 Maiev, 2 Highlander cards and go... It's no big brain matter, it's kind if obvious which are the best DH cards even in theorycrafting. The question that wasn't yet answered is how powerful the class will be against actual best decks in competetive environment... which nobody seems to care about and just spams "OP, pls nerf"

Yeah because a video where he's playing against other players who are testing shit out is a great indication of a class's actual power level. Pay no mind that the class outside of the weapons has literal anti-synergy. Good thing they printed that charge legendary which everybody hyped up and then meanwhile printed not a single extra charge card for the class. Blizzard verbatim said the class was an aggressive combo oriented deck then went and printed all these high cost cards for the glass and barely anything aggressive. Flamereaper is a good ass weapon too bad it's a garbage aggressive weapon at 7 mana. Fantastic for control but... the class isn't a control class. Then there's these demon support cards but all the demons except for the 7 mana 6/7 that deals 6 damage the class got are trash. Sightless watcher, skull (obviously) consume magic, mana burn, priestess of fury and MAYBE feast of souls are broken. The rest are all pretty trash. Outcast is going to be too inconsistent of a mechanic. I really am sure people are overrating this class.

@@crshoveride It is. firebat actually high almost peferct win rate with a highlander deck that only has "basic and classic power level cards" and just 1 expansion to work with...Yeah Alex is already a problematic card but the biggest problem with Demon Hunter is that it has "3 sets" of cards designed to work well together when other classes dont have such adventage. Regardless if the have less or more cards that can be a BIG problem.

@@KaiserTheDarkWolf uh the class is still behind the others that's why Blizzard has said they're giving them 5 extra cards per set to get them up to speed. Unless you mean the other classes have 3 sets on DH then yes in that case. Also it still doesn't matter because he's playing against other players who are experimenting. Decks aren't fleshed out. Most of the DH cards seem balanced and unfortunately without anything busted the class isn't going to do well. I could only see this class doing well if the power levels are toned down after rotation and the other classes are just as weak then yeah sure.
