We had an unexplained brake fluid leak, as it turns out it was the load sensing valve. I shopped around looking for this part. I don’t know if the supply chain crisis has made this part more difficult to acquire or increased the price. So join us as I discuss the part and a couple of tech tips for installing it. It’s pretty straightforward, but their are a couple of things you should know. Remember to like and comment if you have questions, I do my best friend to answer all comments. Good job, Brian. I know your subscribers appreciate your videos and automotive tips. You’ve been working on cars and trucks since you could hold onto a flashlight for your dad. Guess you learned a few things along the way. 😀

Awesome. Just picked up a 1999 Pathfinder 4x4 last week and crawling around underneath I found that spring hanging loose so I attached it back to the only logical location not knowing what it was. Haven't had a chance to drive it reattached as I'm doing the suspension so we shall see. Fingers crossed its all good because it was braking fine before I reattached it. Saving this video.

It may not effect braking if the arm is in the no load position. It should add more rear braking when there is a load on the truck to help maintain stability. It was an expensive little valve, for sure, I didn’t want to take a chance on the knock off versions, they had some for 80 to 120$, I don’t want to be doing it again, so I opted for the more expensive valve. Good luck, I appreciate you watching and commenting!!

@@RealWorldGarage I'm really not going to be carrying anything other than a few dogs in the back so fingers crossed because who knows how long its been disconnected. No leaks so 🤞

@@ruiz212 if something was wrong it would likely make the rear wheel brakes more sensitive and possibly lock up easily with no load. But you said it stopped ok, so I would say it’s probably going to be just fine!!!✌️

Times have changed. It is now 03/01/24. My husband just installed this on his 95 Nissan pickup. I ordered it off of eBay for 43.56 + free shipping. It arrived in 7 days.

He didn’t order a Nissan valve for 43.56. I don’t want a knockoff piece of junk. Good luck I hope it works out for you. But the safety and reliability of my brakes is more important.

Just be gentle when removing the lines and it should all line right back up. I wish I could’ve gotten a better camera angle. But It’s hard filming and doing the work in the driveway!! Take care and I appreciate you watching and commenting!!!

When they modified this Ranger they forgot to put a "Load sensing valve" on the rear brakes. (The more weight on the rear axle , the more flow to the rear brakes.) So the front wheels are locking up long before the rear wheels do. Also there is waaaay too much lift to be towing anything with that truck. (lift kits reduce towing capacity) Yes it's possible to turn Ranger into a 3/4 ton truck , but this isn't how you do it.

That’s the interference I was telling you about that happens occasionally, not sure what happened with the voice. 🤷‍♂️
