97 Harley FLHTC Clutch Inspection & Barnett Extra Clutch Plate install.

Please read the description of this video . I won this bike at the Copart auto auction 5 years ago. Soon after getting this bike I sold my home in FL. Now in TN. more than 3 years later I have some free time here . This is not a how-to video by any means. What U will be watching is Primary drive & clutch tear done. The clutch was making a screeching sound so time to see whats going on inside. I will also be installing a Barnett Extra clutch plate kit they are awesome. Please again this is not a how-to video to do anything other than satisfy my curiosity and fix the horrendous noise coming from my primary drive.

Man I'm so glad to see that you pre soaked the new clutch linings instead if throwing them in dry as so many noobs and wannabees do and tell others to do these days... Did you clean the steels,roughen em up any ?

I installed all new clutches and steals. The old clutches and steals are in my parts cleaning tank. It's all good now no more noises nice and smooth. Wish I had time to show more but my hands were constantly full of grease and oil. Dam production crew didn't show up again.

You skipped the most important part. Do you remove both snap rings? Thanks

Thanks Nathan. I have no equipment or Vehicles here on this property that I cannot fix personally. No new vehicles no computer control stuff.

You need a clutch Spring compression tool You can get one on ebay about 25 books and get a service manual it's not that difficult. This was not a how to video just showing what I was doing that day.

What kind of wrench was that ? would have been nice to know and see it better .it would have been nice to see the spring compressor in action . i wish it was a how too video . Thanks for the look inside a clutch pack !

Yes it would have been nice to see all those things like I did. Greasy oily hands makes it hard to stop work and try to set up a camera and a tripod and get all these shots. No production crew here just me.
