I tested the direct drive in the fall when the weather is good. I think it was a very satisfying set-up board for casual riding. In particular, the combination of rubber wheel and double kingpin truck provided a unique ride. The direct drive kit from the Seeker board product.
Hi ! New to this! Your projects are absolutely mindblowing! I'm also mechanically inclined and already built some cool stuff but never have I thought of building my own board. What kind of budget do you have to face to build such a board? I mean with quality and durable components? All included. Thanks a lot to help me making myself an educated idea. Instant sub! I just LOVE your work. It's so clean and beautiful at the same time. The design behind those boards is wonderful!
Thank you for coming and watching :) It varies from board to board, but it varies from about $800 to $2,500. In the description box of most DIY videos, there are parts links. Check it out.
Seems like it really makes the build process easy. That being said that ground clearance... oof. If it wasn't the motors that are barely clearing, too.
Wow I love so much your quality video. It's awemsome ! What is the max current decharge of the batterie ? Because i have a motor 3500w with max current of 85A so with your batterie it will be okay ?
I really want to build a board and you've inspired me to do it! I'm curious though, do you think the direct drive would be as durable as a belt? It seems to me that a belt connection would remove a lot of the stresses from impact and vibration on the motor.
Just want say another great video and I’d like to add that I’ve put about 1400 km on my direct drive board , yes the motor cases have taken a beating but I have never had any issue with the motors because of that.🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
There was no problem with typical drop-through decks(evolve type) but It can't be sure that it always fits well to all drop-through decks. Thank you for watching ~
Then replace it with the rubber wheels first. And If you're going to do DIY for a smooth ride than the belt drive, The direct drive kit will be good for you.
Hi Kami, an other incredible video. What a pleasure to discover each new one. Thanks a lot.The place where you were riding is so beautiful, so many flowers. Where is it located ?
Really, really nice. It looks lovely where you live!! Is there a simple (cheapish) way to convert a wired hand control set up to wireless? I have an older e-glide off road board, It's a 36 volt system, with a 70 amp motor controller, motor is 1000 watts. The controller is an idrive with a wired hand control and i know im going to fall and break it. I don't have anywhere smooth where i live to ride, so I really want to make what i have usable! Thanks heaps in advance!!
And also a bms suitable, my batteries are from a 250w bicycle and the bms cuts out trying to run the 1000w motor. I have a few 36v 10ah batteries and id like to find an affordable bms to use them with. Thank you for any information or help you can offer. Cheers!!
Thank you for watching :) To wirelessize the controller, we need to check if there is a port that can install the remote receiver in ESC. And if you search "10s BMS" on eBay, you can find something cheap. If you're looking for ESC, check this link. flipsky.net/collections/electronic-products
Great!! Thank you for your reply! I appreciate your help! There's an empty 2 pin socket, an empty 4 pin socket and a 14 pin socket with only 5 wires connected, also obviously has battery +- and motor +- I can't find much information so far on it! Is there a way of putting photos here in the comments?
Hello, are these 115 mm solid rubber wheels or 105 mm? Can you compare them to pneumatic AT wheels in terms of rough surface and "some" off road? I like your dog, very cute!
This wheel is a 125mm Gumi wheel. trampaboards.com/black-megastar-rim-with-black-spokes-with-black-gummies--the-ultimate-longboard-wheel-p-29367.html I connected these two and made them into wide wheels. And this wheel can't go off-road. It's for the street only. My dog said that "Thank you" :)
It was no use trying everything. It's like a brick. I think It has to change the new remote control, but I don't think I'll do that because I got this product for a sponsor. (There was no problem with ESC and VESC tools. However, ESC and remote control were not paired.)
@@KAMiJUINs I want to start building cool boards like you, i make my own decks but the other components (wheel, esc, battery, motor , pulleys bla bla) im buying from Mboards which doesn't really suit me, expensive and big shipment fee. Could you share the link of the website that you use the most to buy parts, please. btw i really like your videos, very intelligent considerations and as always Korean style Video are always 1 step ahead (I know cause I've got korean girlfriend hihi) thanks for your help
The places where I buy the parts will be more expensive. In fact, what I feel after making a lot of e-boards is that parts that are too cheap are quickly going to be problematic. I think M-Board is fine. (Actually, I tend to use expensive parts unless it's sponsored.)
@@KAMiJUINs i know mate, i feel you on this, it is afterall a e skate is a machine that have to cope with a lot of stress and tensions, cheap part are not going to last long for sure. price is not a problem, i need the best for my boards that is why I'm asking shopping advices to the best ! :) where to go my friend, where to go!? thanks
Thank you for watching :) We are also confused so far. The law on personal mobility in Korea is not complete either. So we don't know where we can ride exactly And there are a few laws that have been finalized, and traffic laws have limited personal mobility to 25 km/h. (Since then I haven't made a speed-measuring video)
