Go to Jegs racing and get the O2 sensor delete kit. It will tell the ECU that the engine is running correctly and the check engine light will go off, the kit just plugs into where the original O2 sensors were
My 2004 silvy had superchip dyno adjuster. K&N fipkit intake. Tornado massair intake sytem. Americsn thunder2 exhaust. Edlbrauk electronic ingnition.all str8 piped 3 in.direct outlet. No catabaks. Removed all 4 of them .. Hit hwy 50 at 3am. Sunrise to hazel ave. 3mile str8 road. At 4th gear 138mph... Hellyeahhhh....
A lot of ppl don’t understand an x pipe and it works by using one exhaust flow to help pull the other and vise versa. It creates almost a vacuum and from someone who use to build circle track sprint cars they sound so much better than this lol
@@jdubskiwright2380 Correct, and the pressure balancing increases the pulse rate which (if the correct length and diameter are used) in turn increases the ability to scavenge. Kinda the whole point of it all.
@@minitruckinaintdead7142 LOOKS like you’re an idiot that thinks text makes sound. Also it is “YOU’RE” not “YOUR”. Apostrophes are your friend; learn to love them.
@@bigwheel9132 it actually does, my brother had a 5.7 98 vortec and it sounds just like this with straight pipe. The LS in the video sounds weird af. And not to mention the short ass shifts. Mans needs a tune asap
@@joe1071 Nah, it doesn’t. Not saying it sounds awesome but it definitely sounds different than a straight piped truck; no pop and less throaty (as it should).
Crazy iam actually currently building a 1999 5.3 with sloppy stage 2 cam and exhaust to go into my ford ranger I wonder how they would compare if I ever raced you 😂
I have a 93 Toyota with a 3.0 v6 and new Flowmaster 40 series muffler and new 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe. It sounds great but when going downhill it pops when I let off the gas and I don't like that. Would an X pipe possibly stop that? I don't like scaring animals away going down a mountain road.
I agree with ya I have two sons one has a Silverado 5.3 and my other son has a 3.5 maxima and the maxima wins every they race them and the Silverado has been tuned for racing !!!
@@rodneychapman1506 what ring and pinion on truck ? Change that and maxima will get beat just or put on smaller tires on truck. Here's another idea put same size truck tires on maxima would be a little bit even.
@@goodbyemr.anderson5065 well of course it does even an inch of tire size difference effects the vehicle..ratios are something that definitely important to learn and understand..put big ass 35 or 37s with stock highway gear see how the transmission likes it lol.
3.5 maximas are quick. A tad quicker than a stock 99-06 silverado with 33-35" tires .. But you know what's quicker 0-80 than a 3.5 maxima with overweight occupants from mexico?. 97 explorer sport 4.0 sohc. True Story
Sounds good. And another thing, why do people like the "Redneck Glasspack" sound anyway? Only thing that I think of when I hear that garbage is "Well, another tweaker learned how to use a Sawsall."
I mean it’s nice, the 5.3 is the 350 right? And my father has a 99 suburban 2500 (the older body style for that year) and he has a tube in it, prolly be able to beat this truck by a lot, Yk bigger motor, more horsepower and my das got a tune in it with it straight piped
If you just said the 5.3 is the 350, right? 2 things you need to do. Grab some knee pads and go to the nearest Ford gathering... the 5.0 is the 351 windsor right?
