I know this is an old video but as a possible solution for others that may end up down this rabbit hole, I had the same problem until minutes ago. My solution was to change the PCM relay. (I'm pretty sure it is relay #4 in the relay box under the hood) I used the (known good) blower motor relay to test out the idea. There are other possible ways to get the circumstance shown here, but this turned out to be my issue. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and ideas.
Neutral safety switch needs replacing Did u check your gear shifter by toggling to see if it had some play If it it felt loose there are 2bolts located at the the end of the steering column that works its way loose and needs to be tighten
Thank you sir. I was sitting waiting for someone to come by so I could try knocking my starter while they crank and then I just started messing with the shifter and got it to crank.
you can test the starter by removing the starter relay, making a short jumper wire from 30 to 87. If the starter is good, it will crank the engine.... (on my ford ranger, its 30 to 87, it may be different on other vehicles)
Hey brother if the truck has its original stereo turn off the truck but make sure to turn the key back so the stereo stays on and try to reprogram by using the original truck stereo
Did you fixed it or not... I had the same trouble no crank.. I had tapped on the relays and switched them it started then it acts up by tapping both it starts. Had you checked that??
Cross over the solenoid, just to see if the starter ingages, if thats not it, check your battire in your keys, get your vehicle to unlock on the out side ,then the key over and over again, to get the computer to recognise the key again ,the immobilizer must be activated.
a little too late maybe but ill give you my solution, i had this same problem, but i found out that my alarm was on but the siren was burn so it did not make the noise, all i did was to pull the hey out and with your remote control push the unlock bottom and that was it, then just put the key back in the ignition and turn it to start the vehicle
I'm having the same issue with my 99 Explorer, I replaced the starter and battery and had them tested two different times and had it looked at but it still won't turn over so I'm going replace the ignition to see if that's the issue hopefully
@@austinjohnson3452 I'm having the same problem. Did you get it fixed? My battery, starter, and alternator is good so thinking maybe the ignition. I can hear the fuel pump turn on when I cycle the key but just doesn't do anything past that point.
@@p0ps209 any luck getting it going? Can you hear your fuel pump turn on when you cycle the key? I'm having the same problem in the video now. I was already having a possible fuel pump issue. I have to cycle the key twice because the fuel pressure drops as soon as I turn it off. The mechanic told me there's a flap in the fuel line that's not closing correctly causing it.
I just had this exact issue. I parked my 01 ford explorer sport at work and a couple hours later it wouldnt start up. No symptoms, warning signs, nothing at all. It just wouldnt crank back up. If you run your positive jumper cable from the positive battery post to the positive terminal of the starter, it bypasses the electrical system and should start spinning (if its good). Mine didnt start spinning so i knew the starter was fried. It set me back $150 but i popped a new starter on and it fired right up. If anyone reading this needs more help with this, let me know. Im always on RU-vid. I have RU-vid Red

I have a 99 XLT and it sounds like it wants to start, but doesn't.. I have a new battery in and alternator was tested by my local advance auto and it checked out fine.. I think my starters shot
