Thanks a lot for the insight sir. following you here since day 1. my question was i have an engineering background so from this point, should i just clear my concept from a standard book and doing the questions sets there followed by previous year questions and mocks. please suggest if i am missing something here. ( following your videos for the extensive preparation as i havent join any coaching).

Hi Nilesh, Mock taking and your past profile would give you a clue about how much effort needs to be put. If you are consistently scoring above the 90th percentile in mocks and/or have a 8/8/7 profile or better, you can continue with concept building and mocks. If either of these are missing then you might need more intervention in terms of joining a program.

Hello sir, thank you so much for putting in so much efforts. I am a working professional and i barely get time to study properly. I am too scared to start with QA again, last year my CAT didnt go well even tho i had taken coaching. This time i am nervous and also tired by the time i come home. Please suggest how can i use my time effectively and what material should i use.

Hi, you might have to think in terms of 15-30 minute windows instead of a chunk of 4-5 hours every day. Also, there’s no point being scared of QA especially if you are looking at CAT 23 as a benchmark. That was an aberration and if you look at the years preceding that, you will see that CAT had pretty manageable quant. In fact, if you are a well prepared candidate you should favour a difficult section over an easier one purely because you will have to attempt fewer questions to stay in contention. So start with the absolute basics from your institute material from last year and work you way up gradually. If you are tired by the time you reach home, try making solving quant the first activity of the day instead of the last thing you do. You can wake up early and get it out of the way in the morning itself. The last activity planned is the easiest to sacrifice so won’t suggest keeping the section you need to spend most of your time for the end of the day. All the best!

Hello sir, some coaching starts preparing the aspirants for GDPIs from this point of time by doing various rounds for GD and PI based on their certain mock percentiles, I missed the chance by 4-5 marks. (criteria was 60%ile)I think I will be missing out on a big opportunity. Is it really necessary to start preparing for the GDPI stage from this point. What are your insights?

I wouldn’t recommend starting right away with the GDPI prep. You just need to introspect a bit, think about possible answers to common questions and keep an eye on the major happenings around you. You can fine-tune your answers after CAT and appear for mock interviews then. There’s plenty of time after the tests to do these so no need to worry right now.

@@Point99_CAT_MBA Thank you so much sir 😊 So according to you, my only focus should be improving my mock percentiles right? And I need to mention this, I follow your daily drill program and the test I saw on dilr was apparent to the CAT level. It really helps a lot. thank you

If you don’t have a certificate from your institute or haven’t registered your business then you won’t be able to claim workex. You can talk about it in the interview though.
