My professor recommended this video and I see why. It's quick, in plain English, well animated and accurate without over complicating things. Thank you!
If anyone enjoyed this video and would like to see another of the sort, please suggest your ideas! I'm looking for suggestions for the next topic to animate!
Bro I have a professor in molecular cell biology. He's been a professor there for 10-15 years. And still, you were able to explain this mechanism better than him. Good job to you. This is your calling
Thank you! I realise it's been a very long time since I made a video of this nature, but I wanted to ask a couple of questions: how did you find this video and what makes this video work? I'm curious as to how this particular video became successful compared to others, so any feedback is appreciated!

@@samarrowsmith1396 I was studying for my molecular genetics course, I couldn't visualize the mismatch repair system so I searched "DNA mismatch repair" on youtube. This was the second recommendation. PS. It's a great video. I recently learned the basics of blender, I will also try making such nice little animations just for fun. Hope this was helpful.

Thank you for this video I was trying to study methods of DNA respiration and I could not visualize this in my mind , you made it a lot easier for me many thanks.

I was doing a genetics module at the university of Nottingham and just searched mismatch repair on RU-vid. It's a great video because of the visual aspect.

@@samarrowsmith1396 Hey thank you so much for your video. I searched for DNA repair and your video came up in search results..I watched many , this was the best one. For me this video was very beneficial in understanding the topic easily. And the animation was amazing, gave a clear picture. These are the topics which confuses some, so people tend to search for this kind of videos maybe thats why and you did a great job with the video.

Hi Maheen, I realise this is a VERY late reply on my part so I can only apologise. I imagine my hesitation to answer this question is because I don't fully know the answer myself. There are analogues of the mismatch proteins across life, but the difficulty comes of looking at things within the chromatin environment. Making an accurate animation of the movement of histones and unzipping the DNA strands that have been exposed would be a comparative nightmare (for me anyway, there are probably skilled animators who could try making a representation of this). The wikipedia article for mismatch repair has a basic outline of the analogues: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA_mismatch_repair

Sir it's been 2 years now and I was in 12th standard at that time, after watching your video It made me easier to understand the concept and visualization makes it more memorable, now sir I am doing mbbs and hopefully became a doctor.🙏
