I was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer Feb 20th 2018. Thank you for posting this -it is helpful for my friends and relatives to understand what I am going though. It was indeed me going jaundice that led me to the ER where I was diagnosed. I started Chemo march second - I am fortunate to be in the 15% who - is operable. My tumor is in the base of the liver and it has spread to my liver. My course is chemo followed by a whipple procedure - Your story gives me hope
Gesyka Ryan. I just turned 60 & diagnosed with Stage 1 bile duct cancer after my bile duct closed after gall bladder removal. After stints were placed, they did a biopsy and actually found the cancer early. May 2018, I had Y incision, then 6 days later, Whipple. I spent 42 days total in the hospital. The past 2 years, liver scans and blood work, are within normal limits. My bile duct removed with cancer in it.
