“A BLUEGRASS HOMECOMING SPECIAL” A Wade Morse Jam (720-HD)
This event and several other Wade Morse bluegrass Jams published on the Ocoee Parking Lot Bluegrass channel are special treasures. They are attended by excellent musicians who participate by invitation only from Wade Morse who, with his kind and generous wife, Lavergne, have been hosting these closed Jams on their beautiful property for many years. If you search “Wade Morse Bluegrass Jams” on the Ocoee Parking Lot Bluegrass Jam channel, you will find a number of additional videos of some exceptional bluegrass music.

Wonderful music. I certainly hope there is a group of musicians like all of you who greet me when I get to Heaven. I cannot imagine a better way to spend eternity. Thanks for sharing.

Rita Batten Rita on behalf of the musicians, as videographer I would like to say thank you for your very gracious and kind sentiment. This is really a gathering of friends invited by Wade Morse for fellowship and music. If you like these pickers, many of them also appear in other Wade Morse videos in the play lists.

George M Hi George. I think The Morse jams have a unique sound, partially because of the big barn they are recorded in. I’m not sure. Regardless, they always are great. I appreciate your commenting on them. FYI, I have put them all on one playlist on the Ocoee Parking Lot Bluegrass channel.

John Tait hi John, on behalf of some very good pickers, I will say thank you for the compliment. No, I don’t know the name of the tune but I think I might be able to find it by going back in to the archive of Wade Morse videos in the playlist on my channel. I’ll see what I can come up with and let you know.In the meantime, thanks very much for watching. John, the name of the tune at 56:51 is “The 12th of April.” If I’m not mistaken, it was composed by the banjo player, himself, James Rogers as a tribute to his wife.

Connie Weisman Hi Connie, it varies. The pickers begin to leave gradually between 9:30 PM and 11 PM. Some stay around until midnight. It depends on their mood and how many pickers show up. We hope you can join us. Thank you for the question.
