This site is dedicated mainly to sharing the sights and sounds of one of Florida's oldest active bluegrass-gospel open jams through high definition video and stereo sound. Weather permitting, this parking lot jam begins at 6:30 PM every Friday behind Starbucks Coffee Shop, 10870 West Colonial Drive, Ocoee, Florida 34761, near State Rd. 50 & Maguire Rd. Musicians of all skill levels are welcome.
What a lovely voice Tonya so many women (and men) including me wish we could sing like that. The amazing gifts of God he has given us, thank you for blessing us with Amazing Grace, Linda
So glad your grandpa made all those videos. I've been enjoying them for many years. Sad to hear of his passing. But no doubt he went home to be with the Lord so no need to be sad for him. God bless!!
Hello, Garvin Newman is my grandfather. I cherish this video so much because I don't have many of him playing. He has passed away as of 2023, so if you have anymore videos of him I would love to see, please!
Yes, Mr. Adams is still living in Winter Garden, Florida. Although he recently injured his hand, I believe, but continues to attend the parking lot jams when he is in town or not attending bluegrass festivals out-of-state.
I very seldom suggest this, but if you gentleman never do another worthwhile thing your whole lives, God will still be waiting at the gates to thank and hug you for this set. Thank you.
What Mr. vivatone66 did cannot ever be duplicated.... What a great thing he did and I feel so sad that he has gone on to meet Our Maker.... Bless you my friend....
Stephanie Murphy has a beautiful voice, but she was drowned-out too much by banjo which should have cooled-it while she and Bill Phillips were singing, also her first song was impossible to hear for same reason. Very good video otherwise. I love banjo's but they have to let people be heard singing!!!!
Oh my! this is the best Bluegrass . I think America has the Gold Medal in Bluegrass. Hard to believe this was performed in a parking lot. Hey little waterboy set that water bucket down, and bring me a bucket of this stew!! Doug is a fantastic singer. Fred is a fantastic fiddler. My favorite is Jack, and Doug singing PRETTY POLLY! WOW!!! Love from Linda whose heart is still in Southeast Missouri Ozark Mtn's Ava, and surrounds.
we saw them recently in december 2022 at a christmas party. they are way above most of the other local bands that I have heard. go see them if you get a chance you wont be sorry.
