A look back at a year of fighting to #SaveCotonOrchard. Starting with the #Wassail on old twelfth night it was a packed year of activities. 100s of people showed up to events that celebrated the seasons or to volunteer in the orchard. Spring blossom & bubbles, #Bioblitz, #tree planting to join the #QueensGreenCanopy, creation of the story orchard, bird counts, butterfly counts, bat surveys …. Coton Orchard already a priority UKBAP habitat got selected to be a County Wildlife Site. 11 different NGOs sent officers, they showed up and spoke up decrying the off-road route for the busway. And celebrities like Chris Packham & Iolo Williams spoke up in support to help raise the profile of our CBAG campaign. Coton has appeared in virtually every national paper. Sadly GCP are still ploughing on with the support of the County Council Lib Dem & Labour councillors. So it looks like 2024 will be a decisive year but also one in which #NatureBitesBack ✊🏻🤨🌳🐝🦊🐦🍎🚌❌ Thank you for your support.
