I would watch an entire series of them solving mysteries. They are a very well balanced team, all of them with dozens of years of experience but all of them with a particular expertise. Wonder boy could be the comedic relief, but get some cool moments once in a while. Dr. Venture has literally seen it all and has access to some, dated admittedly, gadgets. Plus he knows all the super villains. Johnny is the "bad cop with issues" of the group, always getting into trouble but with some killer insights. The twins are actual detectives with a dark secret and a weird dynamic. Holy cow, this writes itself.

I like how each and every player in this session is a different variation of Rusty, and yet Rusty is an amalgamation of all of them; The daddy issues of the detective twins, the sad loss of his status as an iconic boy adventurer, the drug abuse of Johnny, and.............. Ro-boy......

It's a cartoon I know, but realistically, after the doctor was bitten, he'd have between 23-29 hours to receive treatment before death. Before then, he'd either be in agonizing pain or experiencing progressive nervous system failure.

And attacking Rusty with snakes is kind of a Monarch calling card. He used the same method before, although I'm sure he thought it failed due to Doc's cleverness or the snake's laziness (hence why the therapist got pheromone'd), even though Rusty simply never opened the package until the snake was long dead.

The snake is actually a Many-Banded Krait the name "two-step viper" or more accurately "two-step Charlie" is coined by U.S. Soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War, believing that the snake is so venomous that those who are bitten die in no more than two steps.

One of the things that I really like about this show is how they will include characters from various famous other medias( like books, TV shows, comics, etc.) and portray them as they would realistically look like. For example in this clip, Johnny Quest is like a stereotypical child star who went bad, getting into drugs and shit. Or the Robin-esque character after his glory days, who sadly tries to cling to those times because his life sucks now.

Also the hardy boy-like people, who have grown up to be these retired, well-off millionaries who have detective skills. Or the astro-boy-esque robot, who is just clueless and kind of innocent ( side note here: I have not watched this episode, so i do not the context or the other characters except Dr. Venture). My point is what is funny about this show is that it captures what these people would probably act like every day, not what they would be portrayed in their regular books, shows, etc.

Sad fact about the real life two-step viper, it killed a famous herpatologist on 9/11. Was bit by one in Myanmar, and because of the chaos caused by the WTC attacks, he didn't get medical attention in time. Crazy to think just how many people nowhere near New York suffered deaths attributable to the chaos caused by it....

In the earlier seasons he was implied to be (JJ addressed him as Mr Quest), due to the show being on Cartoon Network, but nowadays he's "unofficially" Johnny Quest.

Johnny is technically correct about the species of snake but the “two step” is an exaggeration. American soldiers in the Vietnam War called the many-banded krait (Bungarus fasciatus) the "two-step snake" because they believed its venom was deadly enough to kill within two steps of being bitten. However, this is an exaggeration. The many-banded krait is a venomous snake that can grow to be 3-4 ft long and is found in parts of China and Southern Asia. According to LD50 studies, it is one of the most venomous snakes in the world. However, only a fraction of the venom it produces is lethal.
