HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......... there are so few angst animatics about this arc from tubbo's perspective and this is a PHENOMINAL one!!! the art style is so pretty and the animation bits are so smooth?? plus i love all the little details like ranboo always being by tubbo's side, tubbo's apiary dome being a place of temporary escape, tommy helping patch up tubbo after the festival, the way tommy's hair is all grown out and braided, etc etc. plus the way you draw expressions is SO punchy and amazing. guhhh i love this

ryin I really cannot get over how good this is. the juxtaposition of the normal animatic frames with the sections of smooth animation straight up sniped me, it skated right up and mowed me over i stg. and the EXPRESSIONS. the way their emotions are evident in every line of their bodies holy shit it's completely brilliant. I cannot get over how well you draw them. and the color changes of the canvas to reflect the emotions,,, god. no regret / don't forget please I'm on the floor. I can't stop crying and rewatching this. they give me so many emotions. also??? your tommy design. pogchamp. i love this sm.

oh my god this is just gorgeous. “i know that i would always forgive her” just breaks my heart because honestly, tommy and tubbo aren’t really enemies. they’re on opposing sides and they both have wronged each other, but from what i know, they still care for each other.

we really need more animatics from tubbos point of view because it almost makes me more emo than tommy’s right now. this is so so so good. i love it and will watch it a million times. the art style is so good and you can really see the progression of character through the character design. i’m swooning.

I saw this on Twitter last night and holy shit. The skill you have is so incredible, so immaculate. When I was watching this, I genuinely felt like I was there, like I was feeling the same emotions as all of them. I could feel the pain that Tubbo was going through and the anger that Tommy held as well as the dejection of Ranboo as he tried to help Tubbo. The expressions you made and the way it flowed with the song was just perfect. Plus the animation was so beautiful and seamless, I have watched this on repeat and every time I have cried. This is so beautiful, thank you for making this masterpiece.

Tubbo's initial inability to recognize Tommy's anger because he's just too gosh-darn grateful that his friend is alive to be upset, eyes overflowing with shocked joy, the tremulous smile and the deep bags under his eyes--punches me in the gut every damn time.

the best detail? tommy and tubbo look like children. many animatics make them look like adults but they are just teenagers, it makes the whole story much sadder seeing children in war.

Oh my god, can i just say how well put together this animatic is? I wasn't expecting ANY movement, so when Tubbo started moving, I jolted a little bit. Ranboo being there by Tubbo's side, Tubbo remniscing on what he doesn't have anymore, the contrast of "ghostinnit" (?) and angry anarchist(ish) tommy (with a braid!!! hes got a braid) AND ALSO connor, soaking wet in the background??? all those little details are so cool and awesome and you are cool and awesome and bye im going to go watch this on loop now

Tubbo is my favourite character on the SMP and this is definitely my most favourite ever animatic that I've seen covering his side of his conflict with his best friend. It... gosh, it just really gets me, right in the heart, especially that moment where he sees Tommy alive, and he SMILES, so happy to see him despite everything that has happened and everything that is happening at that moment... But of course... we can't have nice things in the Dream SMP... 11/10 would cry again

At the line “All my best friends tell me i should forget her,” i love that ranboo is the one to say “forget her”. SPEAKING OF WHICH, i love your ranboo design the *EARS*! just, chefs kiss, beautiful. the ending was so good, honestly while tommy’s pov animatics are good, tubbo’s just hit different.

*TUBBO CHARACTER ANALYSIS* Tubbo’s character has always been one for logic and from the time he exiled Tommy to now it really has been a crappy time, I feel as though Tubbo’s character needs time for vulnerability, which is why I adore whenever he’s emotional around Ranboo. Ranboo and Tubbo are very similar, they both are sweet, caring individuals with yes-man tendencies, so to see Tubbo be upset with Ranboo really does make the most sense.

thank you so much for showing tubbo and his perspective! there's a lot of animatics out there kinda making tubbo more villainous and evil than he is (which is alright of course since most of them are more abt tommy's perspective) but tubbo's character is obviously very traumatized and under so much pressure and i feel like that kinda tends to get brushed off

It's okay, I didn't need that heart to remain in one piece. Also I'm with everyone else fawning over the actual animations, they're so fucking good.

This is so phenomenally good,, just the colour, the character design, the evolution of the character design along with the colour to indicate time passed,,, so good. Tbh this is probably my fav tubbo design, and DEFINITELY my favourite portrayal of Tommy and Tubbo as kids, you really manage to convey how /young/ their characters are (as in age not as in new) in the scheme of the whole SMP. Just. Beautifully done.

In all honesty, I haven't cried at a dsmp animatic until now. I can't get over how well you drew the expressions and conveyed so much emotion. You timed the music with each moment perfectly! You also picked out a music piece that fit very well and you used your art to get the point across. 0:26 was insanely smooth! The background colors also seemed to have meaning so I wrote what I thought they meant. • Pink is the first and last color we see. The scenes shown in it display the love that Tommy and Tubbo have for each other (/p) and for L'manberg. • Yellow is similar, but it shows more if their joy and happy moments. It's also exclusively Tommy and Tubbo. • Grayish blue shows a lot of sad moments, mainly taking place when Tubbo decides to exile Tommy. These scenes show a lot of regret. • Violet backgrounds have a lot of Tubbo feeling nostalgic for what he had with Tommy. He misses him and and is trying to find a way to cope. The lines said during these scenes mainly have to do with the memory of Tommy. • Green scenes display Tommy and Tubbo caring for each other. We seem they enjoying themselves together, Tommy tending to Tubbo after his execution, and Tubbo holding a funeral because he still believes that Tommy deserves some respect and honor. • A brighter blue finally appears toward the end and contains scenes with Tubbo discovering Tommy is alive. There's pain and longing because he's so close to Tommy, but he doesn't really have him back. Hopefully those are all accurate and make sense. But yeah, this animatic hit harder than any other.

I love how you picked Tubbo to be the "Protagonist" of the animatic because a lot of people tend to give all their attention to Tommy and overlook everyone else.
