This was really an incredible video! Not only do I now have a good way of remembering V=I*R, but also a much better appreciation of Tesla's contributions. Thank you sir for your excellent work and best wishes with all your further creative endeavors!

This video = AC = 99.9% efficiency RU-vid's algorithm = DC = 0.36% efficiency Great stuff, man. You deserve more traffic.

you made a masterpiece! you have explained in few minutes the most important things of the problem, giving a right place to Tesla. For me that I am a foreigner and I do not know your language well I had some difficulties because I use the subtitles (an Italian anchor man, said that the message passes and remains if it is proposed at a speed of less than 100 words per minute). In general you did a really fantastic thing. I studied electrotechnics and electronics and I must say that you did not say anything wrong and in a way that was not boring. It's a nice way to do! P.s. in Siberia, russians made power lines of 1 Million volts to reach longer distances. In Italy too there are some short power lines at 1 Mv but only for experimental purposes Ciao

That is really interesting. Thanks Zola I'm glad that I could keep your interest. Too bad about the subtitles, though.

Blueprint dont worry: with 0.75x speed and subtitles all goes right. Some times i watch some frame more than a time because automatic subtitles does not translate correctly but as i said dont worry. Little by little i'll learn your language!

I like the the light- hearted, funny animation. It adds to the video and makes it entertaining without messing up the facts. But more importantly, your video as a whole was great, and the topic was excellent!.

The animation (while not Chuck Jones caliber) is better than a lot seen on TV these days. Edison was (and should be remembered as) a deplorable human being. The internet and it's free interchange of thought is largely responsible for modern people seeing through the historical "whitewashing" of Edison's exploits and his propoganda campaign to discredit Tesla. Great video and a concise, uncomplicated explanation of the subject matter. Well done and keep it up !!

Thanks, CraftAero! Always nice to hear from you. Hopefully this propaganda campaign will discredit Edison. Ha - irony.

There is a good bit of research which suggests that living close to high voltage power lines can increase the likelihood that you'll develop blood cancer. You only need to Google it in order to find some papers from credible journals. I know it's only anecdotal and one sampe, but my great aunt lived near power lines her whole life and wound up developing leukemia.Of course there are many other factors at play but I still feel it would be remiss not to mention it.

Tesla made only a TWO-PHASE induction motor. Not three phase and definitely not an entire system. System you mentioned in a video is made by Ganz Works company ( Westinghouse bought patents from them) and a three phase system is made by AEG / Mikhail Dobrovolsky including three phase induction motor, generator and transformer.

Good job. You will never see a bird on a HV (350 - 500 Kv) transmission line. It's even too much for them.
@teresashinkansen9402
@teresashinkansen9402 5 лет назад
True, the highest voltage power lines i have seen birds on is 23 kV I have tried touching 23kV ( insolated from ground and a low current circuit) the capacitive coupling its too much, its quite uncomfortable for humans.

Why did the Tesla's car release exhaust fumes?
@BlueprintScience
@BlueprintScience 5 лет назад
Ah, that was supposed to be from the tires, not the exhaust.

Edison was a genius who made many discoveries and inventions but also a shark in the entrepreneurial field, using the American entrepreneurial mindset to its worst limit (and who knows that he has not passed it)
