Great video, I learned a lot! One note though; just slapping three accelerometers together doesn’t make a gyro, it makes a three axis accelerometer. MEMS gyros are way stranger; they use vibrating masses and the Coriolis force to detect rotation. It’s pretty crazy to me that they can use a second-order force like that on such a tiny scale to detect such incredibly small amounts of rotation (angular rate). The most sensitive can detect rates as slow as 360 degrees per day! (Basically the rotation of the Earth :-0)

Yep, that's my bad :( I think I can edit that info out without disrupting the flow of the video. Let me try... Done. The edit should take effect within about an hour or so. Thank you for pointing that out!

@@BlueprintScience No problem! I love your stuff, really did learn a lot from this particular vid! (BTW, how did you manage to edit an existing video in RU-vid? We produce some of our own there, and AFAIK, there wasn't any way to replace an existing video; I thought all we could do was just upload a new one and then try to point people there from a pinned comment on the old one.)

The human race is not yet ready for the responsibility to replace existing uploads. However, you can trim (remove only) already uploaded videos from the creator studio beta.

Imagine a world without Silicon. Because Silicon is not only used in semiconductors, but it is also essential for building the cel membrame of a cel. Luckily 25% of the Earth's crust is made of Silicon. So enough Silicon for sensors and life :D
