I started to mix it with my body moisturizer!! I took some water, squalene oil and niacinamide powder and mixed it in the bottle. It now has a different texture and works so good on my skin 😊

I honestly love you so much for not being condescending to people who want to learn about using products like these. I see too many aestheticians in the skincare community online who borderline shame people for taking their skincare into their own hands. It's perfectly understandable to point people in the direction of professionals when they're attempting dangerous procedures like extracting, micro needling, or peels at home, but I'm 100% onboard with buying products from The Ordinary and Frankensteining a personalized treatment after learning about the products. We all have to start somewhere 😀

@@lovely09ization I've just found out about their brand as well, and the azelaic acid 10% serum is the first one I tried. So far, it doesn't upset my sensitive skin and it did reduced some pimples and maskne on my forehead and cheeks so I am loving it so much. I use it in my night time routine and when I wake up, my skin feels smooth 🥰

dr shereen idriss talks about azelaic acid. She says it eats up available tyrosinase in skin, which is needed for melanin production. Essentially is safe lightening agent.

In my experience... Curology makes you pay before they tell you what your treatment will be. There is no communication between you and your dermatologist aside from the short questionnaire you answer when signing up for the service. If you have questions or do not like the treatment ingredients selected for you, you will need to pay to have a consultation with the dermatologist. The cleanser and moisturizer are basic and not tailored for anyone. The products are shipped before you can even discuss a treatment plan with anyone. No one asks about any products/ingredients your skin may or may not like that you have used previously. There's just is a large lack of communication and attention in my opinion.

I tried it recently and I HAD communication with a dermatologist and they addressed things I was concerned with. They allow you two more interactions with them throughout the trial. So yes there is communication. The cleanser does seem simple but the product tailored to your concerns is good, as least mine was. My skin is back to normal. The moisturizer could be better. They even send an email saying that you must respond to after two weeks to see how your skin is doing and to make sure your treatment isn't causing more problems. They ask that you provide photos and all. So I believe they are pretty active. I was impressed. They even included a body wash for my arm acne that I added along with my face issues. The dermatologist even said that after the acne dies down, that we can revisit the formula tailored to me to address other concerns I want to take care of. So in my honest opinion. Give it a try. I did the "free" trial, you just have to pay shipping and handling.

I did the $5 trial then cancelled soon after. Haven't had the chance to try it because I'm in a different country and had it sent to a pal who lives in the U.S. But the dermatologist I was assigned to have me a product suggestion that has been transforming my skin, and never came up in all my research about folliculitis (zinc pyrithione soap! Holy hack it works!) So I totally won, without even having tried their products 😄

I love Niacinamide. It belongs to my daily routine, in combination with Alpha Arbutin and Azelaic Acid. It does wonders for my oily, post inflammatory pigmentation prone skin. The Ordinary definitely changed the game. I love them. Thanks for the awesome video.

I’ve learned so many things in skin science, thanks to your channel. I’m truly grateful, because now I’m able to talk about some knowledge that I have in skin science in school during science. Last time ( before covid-19 ) we were reviewing the digestion and for some reason we talked about the avocado, she asked if we know things that about it and I said that it has some amino acid. After class we talked about some ingredients that are often used in skin care products. I’m more educated on skin care and skin science, the product to combine and those to not mix,...I’m 15 years old it’s helping me tremendously because I would like to create a skin care product, in the futur. i think this formulation is really great for mixing larger quantities of product to be used in treatment of body acne scaring. if you consider how much of the 30ml formulation you'd use on a large area like your back, this makes a lot of sense cost-wise

I’m not a cosmetic formulator, but I’m a biochemist, so I have access to the basic lab equipment needed to dilute this product to the concentration I need, and since in my country it is quite difficult to get products already formulated with niacinamide, I’m really happy that they sell this. I already ordered it, now I’m just waiting for it to arrive, I also wanted the vitamin C but it was out of stock sadly.

Try eBay for whatever is sold out! Make sure it's coming from America and not China. Never buy the ordinary from Wish, or any other site like it. I tried it one time when they were sold out and I didn't wanna pay full eBay price... Let's just say I don't think their 1% retinol is supposed to feel oily like baby oil.. SO making a complaint. I have 5 - 10 mL bottles (don't think ordinary even makes that size) I can't use, and could never morally sell it knowing it's fake.

Rhiannon McCook hi Rhiannon, atm I’m using it for acne and PIE. And it has definitely helped, just make sure you keep your skin hydrated because I’ve noticed it can my dry my skin a little. It hasn’t been a huge problem but its worth noting 😁

I’m a year late to this video but I looooove this product in comparison to their serum because the serum was so sticky and completely pilled on my face, and because I feel like I can simplify my routine by mixing the niacinamide powder with the HA serum. I struggle with keeping a consistent routine because #adhdvibes so making my skin care routine as concise as possible is always my goal. I was so happy when they released this product!

I come back to Cassandra again and again after watching 8-10 other videos on a product or ingredient. Niaciniamide is one of those ingredients!!! I'm going to go slowly and see what happens to my old, oily skin. Thanks for the 100th time!

Thank you so much for making this video. Currently I'm mixing the Niacinamide serum with my moisturizer. I think this product will be even easier to do so. The problem with their Niacinamide serum is that sometimes it's hard to layer with other products. This powder might be the solution. Please show us how you use this.

Love to watch you Cassandra and I love to learn more🙌🏻 I am a master esthetician with over thirty years of practical knowledge with skin and skin products. Why does everyone love a product that is based on Synthetic ingredients and you essentially need a chemist to mix. We see constant issues from this product. Hi Cassandra, thanks for the great video! I'd love to get that video/article you mentioned about how you are using this powder and layering these products. I just ordered the Niacinamide powder and am waiting to receive it. The Niacinamide + Zinc was too drying for me and it broke me out, so I am hoping this powder will be better for me. I have been using the 100% L-Ascorbic Acid for over a year now (with the Resveratol + Ferulic) and I love it. Thanks again!
