That’s an awesome collaboration. You were one of the first ones to tell me about the white balance on the Sony A7S three being really good, but it is specific situation like this, I can definitely see what you mean.
Ya on the A7siii it's surprisingly good, but not always. A few of the blue hour shots I did here I was surprised at how it kept them at the correct color temperature, but for others, like the ones I showed, they were thrown off a bit too much. Thanks for watching dude! 👊🏼
Great tip, Dylan. One of the first things I learned when I starten filming was never ever use any auto setting. It was the fastest way to figure out how camera and lenses work... 😊
Such a solid tip man! I almost never shoot with AWB. If ind the occasionally shift in white balance is a pain in the ass to fix in post later. Having the camera "lock" onto a fixed white balance make things so much easier. Cool to see you hanging out with Teppo dude! 🙌🏼
Short and sweet, right to the point! Great advice as always, and huge difference turning off AWB can make! Good luck and hope to see vids of those otters soon!!
Thanks so much! Adjusting to specific kelvin values during those times of the day sure helps. Not sure I'll be posting the otter footage on this channel haha. Probably just on my Instagram 😊
Set your camera to 6500 if you want to suck out a lot of the blue from blue hour. Set it closer to 3200/4000 to have a blue hour that looks a lot more like blue hour.
