Most people in NZ grow up around the water because it’s everywhere here and in the summer it gets really hot so water is our best friend growing up and most of us learn at least one bomb.

The difference between America and NZ, Australia is that we don’t take stuff that serious we just have fun

Gorillas, Staples, Coffins any types of bombs...you ain't a kiwi if you can't do a bomb

So the Manu which is the one that most people do came from watching birds dive bomb into the sea to catch fish. Manu is also the Maori word for bird and if you have ever seen a bird dive bomb its wings create a V shape before it hits the water. There are 4 main bombs Manu, Coffin, Staple and Gorilla and they are called different names throughout NZ.

It does cost to enter the comp, but you can watch for free. They can’t exactly cut off access to a free lake for the whole day and prevent people from watching. Price to compete depends on age, category, etc

the reason its considered "cold" is it is pretty hard to do if you dont know hot to do it you have to do a tuck underwater too and the better timing the better, if you time it super off it will be super off so yea.

Yo, yr funny jus listening on how you buzz out on our wayz over here in Aotearoa (New Zealand), kool as tho. It's all about making the biggest SPLASH, when it comes to bombs, manu's, gorillaz and staples they are quite difficult with various techniques to each person's bombs, if you fuk it up you can be a bit fuked up afterwards but itz the fun in learning it. We're always by the water whether it be ponds, rivers, creeks, lakes and the ocean and always bombing is somewhere to be seen our culture is a hearty one. Bro Taupo isn't that expensive to live in that little town city not at all and cheap tourist destinations but beautiful place to go vacation. My opinion one of the cheapest tourism city to visit all outdoor activities lake taupo great places to swim and not to mention there's nothing that lives in or near the lake that can hurt yah (crocodiles alligators sharks only the water itself. I can go on and on but jut that place alone it would take a good month to tour each Hotspot there in that Lil city. But yeah cheap as hell to stay there and go on vacation and the hospitality of the locals of Tuwharetoa they will even feed yah the local quisine.
