@tenebrous soul Oh most definitely, I feel for David Benoit, my father committed suicide when I was 5. Barely know anything about him, and had a high functioning sociopath of a step father. My mother died when I was 19 and I was left alone. So I definitely feel compassion for David Benoit.

@@darkashtar Yeah, I can relate too, at least to an extent. My father attempted suicide multiple times during my childhood, failing on three separate occasions to end his own life until a few years after his last attempt, the health problems these attempts caused finally caught up with him. I never had to deal with any abusive step parents, but I may as well have because of my older brother. My mother actually had to file charges against him on my behalf when I was a child when every attempt to correct his behavior failed.

I really enjoyed watching Chris Benoit in the ring. He was so impressive. The tragedy that bestowed his family is truly that of a nightmare. Chris is a classic example of why concussions, head trauma, and mental illness are serious matters in society. I've sadly suffered many serious concussions and it's affected my day to day life. I can only imagine how the trauma to his brain impacted his actions. Please note.... This is not a defense for his actions, but rather a continued outcry for brain trauma awareness.

@@anthonydeadman It was those matches with Benoit that really made a huge impact on his ability as a wrestler. He picked his intensity from Chris and was probably when he saw that he doesn’t have to be afraid to go for a more technical or “realistic” style match. It's vince fault too. Time and time again he treats a lot of his wrestlers like shit, like an expendable asset. They put their bodies on the line, mix so many chemicals to keep going and then what? He swept that scandal under the rug, and no one said shit cause they afraid to lose job. After what Chris did, plenty of wrestlers like Booker T or Kurt Angle had to take a break. I actually thought that little bit with Angle and Benoit was hilarious and one of his better on screen interactions. That stuck out in my mind even to this day while watching this video. When Benoit mockingly says "well I'm going to take it out on you" made me laugh so hard. Honestly people act like he was the worst person EVER on the mic...Brock Lesnar was SO SO SO much worse, it's not even a comparison. There are probably at least 5-10 people I can name that were way worse than Benoit ever was on the mic. This is especially true when paired with people like Angle, Edge, Chris Jericho and Guerrero (all people he was legit friends with).
