Although the distance between the ISS and the meteor (or space debris) here in this footage is difficult to estimate , it still indicates that there is always a risk of collision

Bobby Brooks ,The International Space Station is in low Earth orbit , I guess the burning debris / meteor is much closer to Earth when it starts to burn up ..Thanks for watching

Nice catch Dutchfly. Apparently average meteors start to burn up 40-60 miles above the earth surface so I guess it was probably a closer call for you. You might want to get yourself a whipple shield for future filming. ☔
