I love watching you.I have had open heart surgery 6 bypasses 4 months ago and then I had my subclavian artery bypass and a tube ran to my heart from it during surgery they paralyzed my left vocal cord (also called vocal folds) I have been a bit depressed.Every morning I can't wait to see what you on put up since I can't get out in my yard like I want to now...I use to do everything mow with my tractor make a garden and do my flowers all myself my sweet husband has Parkinson's so he can't do as much as he once did ...so thank you dear.

I too came over here from Laura's channel. The house I lived in when I was in high school had the entry walkway along the garage. It was just a huge boring brick wall with a tiny bed between it & the sidewalk. So my dad espalliered pyracantha up it and it was beautiful with berries & glossy green leaves. It was really the first time I paid any attention to landscaping. This fall he came over and built flower boxes for my ever expanding gardens and he always asks where I got my green thumb. You silly. He turns 85 this weekend. Thank you for reminding me of this memory.

I started growing superhot peppers in 2020 and i realized quickly how awesome other gardeners can be...i have a nice honeysuckle vine and I'm going to try to rig up a cool diamond shape like this in the middle of my lily and hosta garden 😎 great idea! Your garden is awesome

I as well heard about your channel from Laura at Garden Answer. I live in San Jose which is 9b as well. It’s really nice to watch a gardener in the same zone as mine! Your garden is lovely. I just wish I had a spot that is even half the size of your cut flower garden. I have very little full sun areas.

Hi Janey, I also came here after Laura featured your side garden and subscribed right away. After watching this, I just have to have it. So, the light bulb moment struck and now I can’t wait for spring to do something like this, not quite the same but I think it will work. My husband built some trellises with the X pattern design that are not being utilized. I’m thinking since I have English ivy in hanging baskets I can plant them in the ground and train them. I live in zone 5 , Canada, where everything is under snow right now. I love what you have done to your gardens and will be watching for all follow ups on everything you have shown thus far. Good luck on your channel, it will grow very fast as people come to check you out.

Hi Janey new subscriber here also saw your side yard on Garden Answer. I live in Sacramento and potted a honeysuckle a couple years ago after my gardener thought it was a weed and plucked it up! I've brought it back to life and its finally looking good. I grew up with one covering my side fence where we hung our laundry so it's a sentimental plant for me. Your side yard looks to get enough light for it. I'd love to see how you propagated it!!

Love it-I also subscribed after seeing your side yard on GA😀 I have the same exact set up for my side yard with the garbage cans to the right of my kitchen window when looking out. I’ve been wanting to do something very similar so it’s nice to see how you did it! So excited because I too am in California (but SoCal zone 10b)! Excited to watch more😆 I have some questions: What direction does your fence face? Is it east or south facing since you get mid day sun? How long is it for since your house is there and may shade some areas? Just wondering since I am not sure honeysuckle would grow in my warmer climate.

Janey, does the honey suckle ever get powdery mildew? Mine grows beautiful but always gets it. Just today I planted it on the ground against a fence and was thinking of doing an espalier (I fell in love with yours the first time I saw it), but I’m worried it will just keep getting powdery mildew.

Hi Janey, I have a question for you. I'm new to gardening but I live in 10a in El cajon California it's dry and hot in the summer. I am planning to make this on a fence but I didn't know what plant would be good since I'm worried it would die in summer. Ivy? Morning glory ? Anything you suggest would be super helpful. How do you maintain it? Do you prune to the ground in winter? Are only the non-woody shoots trained or do you let them get woody? I think honeysuckle blooms on new wood, right?
