😂😂😂 Do it half a dozen times and you'll realise that it makes sense. It actually speeds up the operation. All you have to do is tie the weights on and the job is done. I know it doesn't look as if it makes sense, but...it will. 😊

Since the staff bead will have to be taken out from time to time for window maintenance, could one fix it in place using screws instead of nails to make removal and refitting easier? Jim, what rope/cord do you recommend? There's quite a bewildering choice on eBay --- jute, hessian, cotton, waxed, unwaxed, etc... Which of these is best in your experience?
