In August of 1986, “Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives”, reimagined Jason Voorhees as the undead slasher we know and love him as today. This new take on the character and lore, can be credited to the movies writer and director, Tom McLoughlin.
Tom McLoughlin is an Emmy nominated screenwriter, film & television director, actor, as well as singer/harmonica with legendary THE SLOTHS.
Tom's first film "One Dark Night" was released in 1982, and since then he has worked on such shows as "Amazing Stories", "Friday the 13th the series", "Freddy's Nightmares", and he has appeared in such films as "The Black Hole" & "Critters 2". In addition to “Jason Lives”, he has also directed countless television movies, most notably the Stephen King story "Sometimes they Come Back"
