So that's why he got sword from the lightning, legit the one thing about the show that always stuck with me above all else was how that made absolutely no sense, anyways, keep up the good work, this is some lovely content!
Dedede hates Kirby because he's jealous of all the attention he gets. Meta Knight explained this once, but that's the only thing we get. Edit: I JUST STARTED THE VIDEO I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WENT OVER THAT SORRY LOL- Edit 2: Puffballs reproduce by splitting, (proven by Mass Attack and amazing mirror.) so Meta Knight could technically have cloned himself. But it would be more like dark matter to zero, because dark matter has no knowledge and learns on their own. Kirby being young could explain the lack of wings, but he could also end up like some of the other puffballs we see. Also Meta Knight still has his in the anime, they're those weird things that wrap his cloak around him. He's shown to have wings in the pilot episode, and he's also proven to be a monster because Nightmare makes him. I could tell you alot more, but I've ranted enough oof. Tell me if you want to know more.
One, he split into ten Kirbys in Kirby Mass Attack because an evil wizard cast a spell on him, and he split into four Kirbys in Amazing Mirror because Dark Meta Knight split him into four Kirbys with his sword. Neither of these instances had anything to do with reproduction (allegories don't count). Two, Meta Knight was a villain and had his wings in the pilot because *it was a pilot.* Almost nothing was fully established, and there were changes made before the show was actually made.
In the games on one of the pause screens it confirms that King Dedede is one of the strongest life forms on the planet so I think he is jealous of Kirby because despite this title he got beaten up by a literal baby which made him want revenge. This is just in the games though..
i like to think kirby is galacta knight's kid or something [shared wing type, connection to void termina, color; it checks more boxes than it does with meta knight]. Meta knight doesn't need to have any blood relations to this kid if he knew how all members of his species were. He didn't know kirby would get the mic/mike power, he basically just reacts to what powers kirby has as "oh that's spark, oh that's fighter, oh that's ninja." I think all the puffball star warriors start out with a bunch of powers but lose some or all but a few or one as they grow. (Like how babies start out with a TON of synapses that get pruned as they grow, so if kirby didn't use his abilities that much [Ball, Light, Cook, Soap, Metal, Animal, etc.] he would just lose them over time. Meta knight specialized in sword and wing in the games so he mostly just uses sword and wing attacks, though in the anime he used a whip in one episode then never again so there's that) It makes more since to me than the clone theory; if kirby also had the mood ring eyes, i'd think it would be more likely. ((Btw there's like a chart online of what each color meta knight's eyes means, it's just a quick goog search. Blue means proud, Green is thoughtful, Pink is amused, Red is angry, Orange-white is shock or surprise. I think that's the extent of them, though kirby's eyes turn purple in the episode he's intoxicated by the food seasoning so uh purple could be Drunken/high. Meta knight never closes his eyes to sleep in the anime, his eyes just dim, this man is so scarred from war that even when paralyzed he's *still* sleeping with his eyes open))
Kracko’s lightning can’t give Spark, or Beam, or Plasma or laser. Nope. Not even fire (which would work Bc Fire hot) or UFO (because UFO shoots out the little electric beams, no, fucking sword.
11:20 - 11:55: Honestly, I don't think it would matter what shape the lightning was in. Unless Kracko can shoot out metal in this continuity, the "sword" is still pure lightning and should have still given Kirby the spark ability! Wait, why am I trying to poke holes in kid's show logic?
Kirby does defeat all of Dedede's monsters which, before he arrived, was apparently already a pastime of Dedede's. Kirby getting in the way of that would be reason enough for Dedede to try and get him out of the picture.
