Love the different camera shots -- so beautiful. Thank you for your vlog! Been watching since you were in your first couple of years of medical school.
Medicine and other work environments should embrace young families more and this should not be an exclusion, but a norm to any normal work environment.
Thank you for sharing your life with us, I love watching your vlogs! it reminds me to take things steady, enjoy the moment, and that I need to learn how to make matcha at home. Sending you good vibes. Thank you for being you.
Kudos for making the schedule 4 weeks ahead. I was friends with nurses and doctors who only knew their schedule one week in advance. It was difficult to make plans with them, and I bet the residents under you will be grateful 🥰
Hi Jamie, your organisational skills are impressive. As someone who struggles to be organised and to remember to get things done, I'd really appreciate a video on how you get organised & how you plan your week to fit in all you need to do. Thank you.
Thank you for this cinematic masterpiece! Your videos are so calming but also motivating and inspiring. :) I've been following you for a while and it's so interesting to see your journey and where you are now!
I´m not even a med student or studying in the US and I still find your videos oddly therapeutic to watch. I always feel like it makes me more capable to just go on with everyday life and get stuff done
I've been subscribing since I was in high school, now I'm enrolling in occupational therapy and will be finishing my diploma very soon ^^ your video will always soothe me and make me believe that everything is going to be fine, thank you for all these years!!
i'm so sorry to hear that you've been living in fear 😞 I sincerely hope nothing bad ever happens to you. I also wanted to congratulate you on becoming chief resident ❤️ You are so inspiring! Also yes, please make a New Amsterdam reaction video if you have the time! 😊 stay safe, Jamie!
Jamie you're literally my biggest motivation Hope that i would get into med school after 2 years I am a 10th grader and someone who is mad for yout videos and ellie:}
I hope ur ready to study/work for the rest of your life and to give up ur life with your friends and family and final your peace they always manage to take it
I would love for you to react to the show New Amsterdam. Also when you were getting on the subway I was just thinking about the hate crimes that have been going on. I thought in my mind "I hope she hasn't experienced anything of that sort." Which luckily you have not and I hope it stays that way.
Omg you are living my dream life! I would love to move to New York and specialise in emergency medicine and your channel inspires me so much. Thank you x
I used to schedule the nursing staff and assign bonus of a level one ED and used that exact program! I liked to print out the existing numbers and use color coding for different ranges of staffing levels in comparison to the fully staffed numbers, then make my plan.
Klara And The Sun is my new favourite book, I loved every aspect of it. I didn't know that residents need to do the crossword thing, I hope it is at least calming for you and takes your mind off other things for a bit.
Your videos bring me peace before bedtime after a long day of studying.. Reminds me that this is all worth it. Also, what’s your outro song? I love it 😊
Love your video! I these models are so cool and so creative ! :) Do you think that coaching for students would be a good thing? I have sometimes felt really overwhelmed dealing with pressure and stress and I felt really alone in figuring out how to adjust to all of that. Was it the same for you or for students at your uni? Would love to know what your thoughts are about this :)
Hi Jamie, Loving the vlogs! Keep them up! What's your opinion on the new ACEP article on oversaturation of EM providers? Have you read this by any chance? Should this dissuade someone from EM?
hi jamie! long time follower/subscriber :) will be moving to the city in a year - i wanted to ask how long is your commute typically from your home to the hospital?
How is the job market looking for emergency medicine physicians (after residency)? I'm asking b/c i remember reading somewhere some association (i think EMRA or ACEP) put out a notice saying they couldn't get jobs, even thought there was a shortage, because companies were hiring PA's and NP's over them.
Hi lovely I really want to study medicine ! But I have a horse ! Everyone says I will have to give up riding entirely : do you think this is true ? I only ride 3 times a week for and it takes a few hours
Would anyone answer to my question: how is it ok to wear scrub at bus, metro on the way to work (because of Covid). And this is not malicios question, I'm just wondering...
im not in med school or aspiring to be a doctor but your videos have been a great source of motivation. I admire your drive and I really love your vlogs!
It is a good day when Jamie has a new video! I'm much older than you, Jamie, and not even in health care, but I find your videos so relatable, motivating and simply beautiful. Thank you for what you do, as a doctor and as a person!
Any opinions on the new data showing the crushing unemployment rate of new EM attendings? I really want to do EM (current M3) but I’m scared I won’t be able to find a job when I graduate
Thanks for the inspiration! I was rejected from all the meds schools I applied to last cycle. Im trying to find the will to go through it again for this upcoming cycle.
