I definitely want to reexamine the way I teach to include more student voice and expression. It's something I've always strived to do, but now more than ever! Thanks for always being a bright light my friend. I wish I could vlog as well as you :)
You, too, my friend are a bright light. So glad I've met you. Its funny. I've always been a reflective person, but this year I feel that its more paramount than ever to think about what our curriculum is going to reflect and what we want it to mean for our students. How are you doing? How's your summer so far?
I reexamine the way I do things every year. I watch videos for a spark of inspiration. I am never fully happy. I still havent sloved the problem of slow learns.
I can completely identify. I am going to try to plan for both online and in person teaching. I'm fortunate that the program I teach is web based, but not the co-teaching curriculum we use. They are also rewriting the curriculum, so my coteacher and I have been anxiously awaiting. I hope your stress goes away after planning. You will do fantastically! @@TheLanguageLady Thanks for asking! This summer I am reflecting, creating videos for RU-vid, and trying to become a better teacher. I love all the content online now--seeing stuff you and others post gives me ideas for my classroom. We live in a great time for information.

You got this! You will do well. Just study for it in chunks. and focus on the areas that are unfamiliar. It is a stressful time as the uncertainty is looming for what things will look like in the Fall. I will be making a lesson planning series as this seems to be something that many of you are requesting. I will send positive thoughts your way as you prepare for your exam!
@@TheLanguageLady The last essay deadline in tomorrow and then I need to enter grades/do some office hours for feedback. I teach at the university level in Europe so it's different than the US schedule (more vacations throughout the year/shorter summers). We go back the second to last week of August with "re-sit" exams and semester prep, with classes starting he last week of August or September. :-)

@@TheLanguageLady yes you with Etacude. (i am terrible for names ) I live in Ceuta a Spanish enclave in the north of Africa, next to Morocco. I have a private English Academy called Talking English. I put the name over 30 years ago when students didnt speak English at their schools just did grammar exercises

@@TheLanguageLady I will be happy to answer any of your questions. I dont have a pacing guide. I would like to know more. My students go to school in the morning. In the afternoon they go to private classes maybe sport, or homework or English. A percentage of my students speak Arabic and Spanish while learning English. Others speak Spanish and learn English. At high school they learn a little French too
