Dawg I had a load that was a 90 mile drive. Worst load ever😂. It was 4 Mohawk mobile column truck lifts that were heavy and tall and needed to be tarped!! Loader said once they’re on the deck they won’t move! BS!! Had it chained, strapped and everything! Stopped about 5 times because 2 lifts were about to roll off the sides and they were too heavy to pull back. Turned into a wide load! Then I had to be there at a certain time which I didn’t make because the stops and traffic. And I was in them New York streets! When I got it off my trailer I said thank you Jesus😂😂

Broooo 🤣 I know that feeling!! Never heard of them not moving it after it’s on the trailer, thats some bs for real! But damn in NY too! Glad you made it safely but I bet you had some serious weight off your shoulders when you made that drop lol

I went hard for 3 years with a almost new truck. Over the 3 years i paid off the truck and had my commercial insurance down to 400 a month. It was time to double down and get into a new truck after 3 years and over 500k miles on it. I decided to back out and got my cdl and drive for a company for now. In the future i may get my own semi and get back into O/O work again. But i decided the rates sucked so bad and the cost of maintaining two trucks and trailers and the stress of it all wasnt worth it. I dont regret stopping i also dont regrete doing what i did. I made great memories and like i told the boss at the job i quit before hotshot...rather try and fail then never try at all and wonder what woulda happened...i dont look at it as a fail as i came out of it with no debt at all no insurance claims nothing i also stopped with enough in the bank to put myself through cdl school and cover my familys bills for 4 months while i finished school and found a job

Been following you for a while love what you doing but you seemed a little whiny about the doors on the old piece opening up it's not that difficult only takes a few minutes to put a 2-inch strap around it so nothing gets damaged or a couple of bungees to hold it shut. It's not that big of a deal but be safe out there keep putting out them videos for us

Had to transport giant paper rolls... (Smh)... Immediately felt the weight! The company wouldn't let me go to the shipper to take any of them off either. Super upset, so heated! I always got it back to the yard safely (Fortunately...) and I only had to drive just under a few hours. But that was a very uncomfortable "just under a few hours" every time and couldn't wait to get away from that load as soon as I picked it up.

Say bro I had a load coming from Broussard, La going to Port Fourchon. Hwy 90 is a rough stretch of real estate on the north end it will literally shake the fillings out ya teeth. It was an awkward load for me as a rookie I had to stop several times to tighten my binders. A fellow trucker stopped and checked on me to give assistance, God keeps his people together much appreciation to him. Lessons learned were making sure chain was kink free before binding and angle of pull in a greater degree. #God got us through and we still pushing #

One time I was hauling a full load of cattle and they kept sticking their heads all the way out the sides of the trailer. A few times I thought they’d get their heads took off by passing trucks, light posts and road signs. A bull kept getting his horns stuck in the openings and other tuckers would signal to me to pull over. I must have stopped 100 times for nothing from Texas to Florida. I hated those damn cows. I came close to just in hooking the trailer and leaving them at a truck stop and call the dispatcher and tell them I QUIT!!! I still think about those smelly as cows in my nightmares.

Hi Tim love the channel I’ve been following you since day 1. Great content. Future reference next time you have freight with doors that open without explanation just use 1 or 2 straps around it to hold the doors close. Remember D.O.T. Officers do not consider bungee’s as securement always use some type of ratcheting securement for ladder, 7 tarp securement. Keep up the fantastic content, and keep the positive vibe going and shout out to your rock the Mrs. Respect!!!

Hey! For beginners, a good option is to look for a reliable used truck with lower mileage. Models like the Ford F-250/350, Ram 2500/3500 are popular choices that balance affordability with durability. It's essential to consider your specific needs and budget when making your decision. I get people telling me I just need a federal inspection since it cover all states and other people telling me I just need a State inspection.
@HotshotMacc
@HotshotMacc Месяц назад
For federal regulations, your state inspection generally meets the FMCSA standards, so you usually don't need a separate federal inspection. Just make sure your vehicle is compliant with both state and federal rules, especially when running interstate. Hope this clears things up!"

Hi Guys My husband have a Ram 3500 Diesel 8 feet bed. He wants to haul Vehicles, and freight. He was th😅inking to get. 35’5 PjJ Gooseneck trailer. We heard that there is a certain length that has to be. Any feedback on that?

Hi, as long as his total setup doesn’t exceed 65ft then he is good. Anything over is a possible violation unless he has a cab chassis registered as a tractor.

If you're staying primarily in TX, why not run the TX hos clock instead of the interstate clock? When you go off duty with the TX clock, the clock stops unlike the interstate clock. Plus you get 1 extra hour drive and 1 extra hour shift.
@HotshotMacc
@HotshotMacc 7 месяцев назад
Because I don't only stay in Texas, and most of the time i go over the 150 mile radius that the FMCSA allows
@B-Roll-N-Transport
@B-Roll-N-Transport 7 месяцев назад
@@HotshotMacc I understand that. Whether you stay within 150 miles or not, doesn't mean you can't use the TX clock. Within 150 miles means you don't have to run a clock. As long as you don't leave the state more than 8 times a month, you're allowed to run the TX clock. If you leave the state, you switch to the interstate state clock and after your back in the state for 8 consecutive days, you can then switch back to the TX clock. And that is per the fmcsa. Been doing that for years......

@@HotshotMacc no problem brother. It works great there’s lots of different kinds of rain like sprays and shit like ones you use for your front windshields like that rain-x etc whatever brands best now I forget but you just spray it or clay bar it on or whatever on your mirrors and it makes a massive difference. Doesn’t get all speckled and fogged up with mist it just beads up and rolls off and there’s just a couple bigger drops on it at the worst until they roll off too but your mirror visibility will go from like 10% visibility in rain to like 90% haha. I can’t remember where I seen someone else do it or what but I seen your into to the video where your mirror was all misted up and so I figured I’d throw you that idea to help you stay safer on the road man. Hell even if it’s worn off and your in a bad rain pinch you can even spray like WD-40 on the mirror and it’ll do the same thing but doesn’t last as long

Should’ve just wrapped a ratchet strap around the old compressor and it would’ve secured the doors. Nice video though. I’ve been driving 18 wheelers for 8 years and finally bought me a hotshot setup and my authority just got approved so I’m starting in the next couple weeks hopefully. It’s nice seeing positive videos like yours because most nowadays are talking about how you can’t make it in hotshot anymore… not everyone is the same though so I think with the right mindset and determination you can achieve things that others fail at, like you said keep the good positive things on your mind not the negative things because they will drag you down. I hope you keep getting blessed and I pray I’m working towards my blessings.
