@@suzannerust8658 No man, not like that. A good fantasy series is not illogical or stupidly written. The setting may be unrealistic, the physics, the monsters, but NOT the story! At least it shouldn't.
Samwell Tarly - mocked, insulted, laughed at and bullied from his first appearance Yet he survived every season, killed a White Walker (was the first character in the show who did), found his love, was friends with Jon Snow all throughout and lived to the very end. One of the best, my favourites and most loved characters of the entire show.
i don’t know why but considering Pyp and Sam were sh*tting themselves throughout the battle, and Pyp was one of the few to actually be Sam’s friend, it always bothered me he didn’t close his (Pyp’s) eyes after he died, before Sam continued the fight…
Sam was actually way better than the other men of the watch. He was one of the few people at the wall who understood the meaning of the night's watch words. Happy GoT anniversary!! Hope you're all having an amazing MaraThrone
It's quite sad that I remembered some audience in real life still bullied him for his body... when he has brought to us excellent performances and memories.
honestly i kinda laughed when he gave an interview. they said fans voted the most unrealistic thing in the entire show is that sam gained weight in between seasons. in a show about zombies and fire breathing dragons, fans are actually complain he gained weight. they said since hsi character is ruining through the woods trying to get back to castle black the actor should have lost weight.
Such kind and moving words about Kit/Jon❤️ I love your friendship, I’d love to have a friend like that. Always there for each other on this amazing journey😭
I just finished watching game of thrones for the first time. He did such an amazing job with Sam. What an overall amazing human. Grats to all his success
@@2jz-boi Everyone have the right to their opinion. So I guess when he defended his girlfriend and child against the white walker that was cowardly too? Plus several other brave things he did like standing up for her and rescuing her from the no good bastard who was holding her and the baby hostage?
Same. They’re just Haters...disrespectful, mostly full of ignorant hate. They don’t even make any sense. I don’t care about one word they say! GoT is the best show I’ve ever seen and I love every moment ❤️😍
Sam is one of my favorite characters to watch! As a die hard GOT fan, I have loved watching you grow as a character through the years. I could not believe when I read that this was your 1st acting job ever. You were obviously born to be an actor, and noone else could've brought Sam to life. Thank you for Sam Tarley. I look forward to seeing what you bring to other characters in the future. Actually, I'd love to see a spinoff including you and Gilley.
Happy 10 years anniversary to game changing show of the last decade keeping aside the last season it really had some or the other affect on everybody's life
Quite a journey he's had. A respected lord's unwanted son, a brother and steward of the Night's Watch, an advisor, and finally the new Grand Maester of Westeros.
The courageous are not those that have no fear, The truly courageous are those that do feel fear, yet go onward anyway. Sam and Jon, both have that. and that is one of the reasons I love both their character arks, and friendship.
Agree, most loved character portrayed wonderfully by John Bradley. I was so glad he lived, it was something I dreaded all through GOT, that he might not make it and I don't think I could have dealt with Sam suffering.
Sam is literally the only boyfriend material in the entire show. ❤️ If I'd lived in the GoT universe, sorry Gilly, but you wouldn't have had a chance, girl.
People are seriously overreacting. The last 2 (not just 8, i'd argue 7 was worse honestly) seasons where rushed and where off lesser quality because of that yes. But the story itself was fine. What happend with Dani was always going to happen, and Jon got the perfect ending to his character as did many other characters. Some people are just salty about being wrong about Dani (to a point they are STILL not admitting they where wrong about her and that her methods where always fucked up). If you just disliked the rushed aspect of it, then for sure the last 2 seasons are of inferior quality, but still watchable just fine. It's not soulcrushing bad. Only when you genuinely believed Dani was a good guy and not a little dictator (despite having some good intentions, but shocker, this is actualy true for quite a bunch of real life dictators who feel they are saving the world with their vision) could you say what s8 showed was soulcrushing maybe. To anyone else it should just be of lower quality, but fine to watch. It's just like a 6 when the rest of the show was swinging between an 8 and a 9 (except for the Dorne plot and Ninja Arya after she got stabbed in s5 which was even worse then anything in s7 or 8 in my opinion but moving on). Like I get the dissapointment, I get and agree with a lot of the criticism. But people are acting way to dramatic about it at the same time. It's rewatchable, and even has great moments. I'd argue the episode where kingslanding gets attacked is one of the best episodes in the whole show. It's brilliantly filmed with amazing shots and character moments. And it should have been the most powerfull episode of the whole show. It's just a pity the road towards that episode was so poorly done which undermined the importance and value of that episode. Also little bear vs giant will never not be one of my favorite things ever in this show.
@@amberanime If you read the novels starting since their release date, waited years for each next book, and are still waiting for the real story ending, you would have spent (now) twenty-four years building up to the ending. I spent twenty four years waiting, and what happened in the final season was unworthy of GRRM, unworthy of his characters, unworthy of his fans, unworthy of this time invested. I'm not just salty, I am still infuriated and sad because every plot point "that would have still happened" needed better build up and better exposition than what was presented in the final season. Every plot point needed the same kind of build up that Hodor received, and it did not happen. It was the equivalent of someone screaming "Snape kills Dumbledore!" at someone just starting the Harry Potter series for the first time. Soul crushing to spend decades waiting for an ending worthy of all that came before, a legendary feast, only to be thrown what is the equivalent of a fan-service Happy Meal.
@@amberanime the moments are great, they had some of the best crew working on the show. It’s not just Danny’s character they ruined every character, every plot point, every detail that made the story great was watered down into a the bare aspects of it. We give them leniency of past season hoping that they were focusing on the ending, something that needed to be nailed down, instead we got the cliff notes on a multimillion dollar budget.
@@sansarya most of the people complaining haven't touched a book in their life lmao. It's just trendy to hop on the status quo hate bandwagon concerning S8. These are the same people using Dumb & Dumber to refer to Weiss & Benioff, which is just fucking childish in itself. But yeah, I feel bad for you book readers because the show definitely declined in quality over the years. I'm rewatching S5 now and it's already starting to show
Thank you John for everything you brought to Sam !! I really thought Sam was going to find something huge in those books he took from the citadel, you know, to defeat the AotD. ah, maybe in the books.
Samwell is much more of a man than he thinks, and even more so than several other characters. While some are blessed with size or speed or strength, Sam has to really dig deep to overcome. He's brave when it counts but has no bravado. He uses his head rather than just charging in. Most of all, he's compassionate.
Few people realize why the white walkers invaded the living. It was because of Gillies baby. A promise offering from Casper Gillie's father to the White Walkers King. All of his male children.
Sam was one of the few pure, untainted characters by the writing in the end, aside from his constant sobbing during The Long Night. But at least that sobbing was reasonable. Though, his survival perhaps not, considering how many wights were piled on him constantly.
They ruined Sam in the final season. He's a book reader who saves everyone by reading things in books. And then he leaves the thing his character fought so hard for to wave a sword at bad guys. I hope they don't make any more Game of Thrones. They ruined it with Season 5, 6, and 7. Exactly zero interest in this world after the last 3 seasons.
@@kinonino 🙏🏼 it takes an extra level of hate to specifically go downvote every GoT video here. Childish. What kind of person spends their time doing that
