I lost 80 lbs in 9 months in 2021. I cut my carbs to 25 grams a day, replaced all sugar and starch with leafy vegetables, and walked 3-4 hours per week. During this time, I also took GOLO release, started watching Seinfeld re-runs, and re-learned how to solve a Rubic's Cube. So, I'm pretty sure I owe my success to Jerry.
Sounds like you really went on a low-carb diet and increased your exercise. You will easily lose a significant amount of weight just by doing this without paying for a "secret" diet pill. This is exactly what Dr. Brian Yeung, ND said in this video. If you really want to supplement your diet with a supplement, much less expensive supplements are available for a fraction of the price. IF using this supplement gave you the mental fortitude to stick to the low-carb diet and get more exercise and you don't mind putting unknown substances in your body, that's on you.
The women in my job do the Golo diet and have lost incredible amount of weight so I am going to try it. I have seen the results first hand. Good luck to everyone on their journey of a healthy life and weight loss!
Thanks for sharing this information and thank you for all the comments from the golo users. In two years I’ve gone from 386 lbs to 280 lbs by changing my diet and cutting out sodas. I’ve been searching searching for something to get rid of the final 60 lbs (I am a big guy). So, from what I watched and have read, golo is not the answer for me. I’ll stick to 5-10 lbs of weight a month doing what I’m doing.
I’ve been in the supplement industry for a long time and I agree with you. Good video . What’s really working is they are controlling their eating intake
My cousin Dan has been taking GoLo for 3 months and has lost 50 lbs - nothing else had worked for him - he swears by this stuff - he says it definitely works
I too use golo it has been a game changer for me by taking away my cravings for food and helping me eat better foods in my diet. I'm 63 and it is the only diet that has really helped me I've tried many in my life starting at around age 16 on and off. I've used it for about 7 months now.
My lil sis just started Golo. I’m praying for her that she has found a program that works for her. I personally do Ketovore. Always struggled with being hyper sensitive to carbs. That’s how to get the A1c down, low carb. Each of us has to find what works for us. Do your research friends and be blessed with good health!🙏🏻❤️
This video was very insightful and appreciated. I took GOLO for three months and then when I lost my job to the pandemic madness the supplement went away because of the cost. However I did continue with the food recommendations and continued to lose weight at the same rate. Go figure... Now it's understood. Thanks!
I ordered the three bottles for $119. I took it for 1 month and followed their diet plan religiously. I lost 3/4 of a pound. I did like their meal planners and recipes, but the supplement did not work for me. I do have to give them credit, I called and requested a refund and got it immediately without any questions asked. On another note, I just found you Dr. Yeung and your videos and am very impressed and look forward to watching many more on weight loss. Thank you for your straightforward presentation and easy to understand explanations.🙂
After reading hundreds of comments regarding GOLO release, it appears the diet erducing food intake, curbing carbs, sodas and junk food is what causes the weight loss and NOT the supplement. The truth is, eating healthy meals and using moderation with chips, carbs, sodas and junk food----anyone can lose weight.
thank you. I had a feeling honestly that it was more of a supplement for people with insulin issues. SO I am opting for low carb, more activity, and vitamin daily with the Chromium magnesium and zinc in it. Like you said, the cost of GOLA is GRADE F, way too expensive for a vitamin supplement which is how I see it.
It works. I live by it. You don’t have to take the release supplement. It’s real food eaten in moderation, 3 meals a day, no snacks. You give your body a 4 hour fast break between meals. And yes you stay full
I’m sorry, I mean no disrespect, but aren’t you basically saying that you don’t need to buy Golo and you can just do this on your own by changing what you eat and giving yourself breaks between meals? That to me doesn’t sound like Golo is working, maybe I’m missing something.
I agree with you 100%, I have been using Golo and have not seen any results and after your review, I have decided not to continue wasting my time with Golo. I need to lose weight and need help doing so, it is very difficult to lose the weight an a older adult. It has been frustrating. Thank you.
Say what you want, in the past I've always had a very hard time losing weight came off very slowly and I starve myself, with golo I lost 36 lb in a little over 2 months, fastest I've ever lost weight in my life. This probably will not work for everybody unless your insulin resistant which I am. Call me crazy All I know it worked for me 👍 by the way I'm not into Vad diets. I have watched my weight all my life, and it was getting to the point where I just could not lose weight. Golo helped me lose the weight! 😊
Thank you Dr Yeung! When my low carb diet wasn't doing it anymore, I tried adding Golo. It did not help with cravings or feeling full. I lost about 3lbs in 3 months and I have a lot of weight to lose. Very disappointed in the product and now I know why.
thx for the info. u have people on the radio that u listen to & respect & then they become shills for their advertisers because they pay the bills. (" i lost 40 lbs on this...") im glad there are actual DOCTORS to clear the cloud of advertising bs & give us the facts. & i'll pass on these & just continue w/ my eating well & doing exercise.
Im a senior disabled w/diabetes incaline recesant CHF and obesity..and golo was on my radar until your video. Thank you i am on a very low income and cant waste any money. Thanks again... off my radar now
Thank you for sharing this. My Mom who’s in her 70s watches TV stations with this heavily advertised was wondering about it. She takes medications that are needed. Vitamins supplements and not diabetic or pre diabetic so the medication interactions alone are enough for me to advise her not to go for this and possibly if she’s not already on the useful supplements add those in. Weight loss is hard and you hot plateaus and get frustrated but if you keep on while you still can exercise and watch caloric intake that after everything else I’ve tried is the one thing now at 50 y/o that works for me
Exactly why I checked RU-vid for info on Golo. Now I have all my answers. I did try Golo. a while back, and couldn’t understand why it made me feel weird. Now I understand it interfered with my daily medication of Synthroid. Plus zero results with weight loss. I was thinking to give it another try, but thanks to your information, I’ll give it a miss, and eat sensibly.
It works really well for me to quiet the so-called "food noise" and I am grateful that it did. Everything doesn't work for everybody but I am so glad this works for me.
I bought a bottle and am going to give it a try because going low carb cutting sugars has not helped me at all, my blood work shows my insulin has risen over the years, but my dr, isn;t concerned .. I have gained so much weight but given up so many bad foods,, I have severe sleep apnea, and bad back and knees, I will try just about anything.
The supplement was recommended to me because I was trying to regulate my blood sugar as it may have an influence on my cholesterol levels. The idea is that carbohydrates can affect cholesterol levels more than dietary fat. Having said that, I have found that if I’m not careful about what I eat and then take the release, my blood sugar levels will drop into the 40s. I have been wearing a continuous glucose monitor that I pay for so I know this is happening.
I lost 30 pounds on GOLO. I have diabetes and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I also had high cholesterol before trying GOLO. Losing weight has always been a major problem for me until GOLO. However, what I have discovered is that it is the diet that works, not the Release supplements. I went off my thyroid meds and totally messed up my body. I gained back 12 pounds, my cholesterol was over 200 and my AIC went up. Back on the thyroid meds but it took 3 months to stabilize again. I am doing the GOLO diet again without the supplements and have started losing weight again (3 pounds this week). My sugar is stabilizing again but still isn't below 6.0 like it was before stopping my meds and my cholesterol is excellent according to my most recent bloodwork. I will stick with the GOLO diet but without the expense of the supplements that don't do anything for me. The diet is a healthier way of eating and has improved my health and that is what is most important to me.
Thank you Dr. Yeung. Im so tired of people on YT reviewing products that they get a cut from. I appreciate your honesty and professionalism. i have subscribed because of it. also, i have just tested 6.5 on my a1c. my question is, can it be reversed and how do i find out what my insulin resistance level is. Ty and any help is greatly appreciated.
My sister was convinced to try Golo like it's some miracle drug a friend told her she's lost a large amount of weight while not changing her eating habits or increasing her physical activity. My sister talked me into buying this for her despite my reservations. I figure her trying it was better than doing nothing as she is morbidly obese and generally not interested in trying to lose weight because she loves food and eating big portions. After receiving her supplements there's already a diet plan that users claim is not a diet but just a suggested eating plan, OK that sounds like a diet to me. Also there are recommended amounts of meat to consume and fat. How is that not a diet? I'm going to try to get my sister to try these individual supplements and have her continue to follow the golo suggested eating plan. I obviously knew there's no pill you can take and continue to eat huge amounts of food, never work out and shed weight. It was really annoying that while ordering the magic release supplements the company was already trying to get me to order a recipe book and gut health supplements, big red flag for me. I'm irritated with people claiming this is some almost magic way to lose weight by simply taking a pill when that's obviously not the truth.
Thanks for info I just ordered golo . I try to stay low carb which I lost 30 lbs but weight is creeping up again. . I’m hoping this supplement will help me stay on track .
Hundreds have complained about GOLO causing sickness, bloating or not working. Consumers contact the Better Business Bureau to complain and request GOLO give them a refund. After reading multiple BBB complaints, GOLO sends a 'canned excuse' and of course the BBB stands behind the businesses because they won't bite the hand that feeds them. Yes, businesses support the BBB financially so, why would the BBB rule against them ??? Consider yourself schooled because in my opinion contacting the BBB is a waste of time.
I've been on it for 3 months and have lost 12 lbs of fat. I enjoy my regular favorite meals and still have lost weight. Just ordered another bottle of release
I think it's funny how he begins by saying that "we have no idea of the amounts of each ingredient in the proprietary blend" and then goes on to repeatedly state that there's "not enough of each one to make a difference". How does he know it's not enough when he doesn't know how much is in there? Duh 🤦
@@boosqueezy2418 me too. Got GOLO Today first day. I’m oddly very tired rt now, but it could be some of the ingredients. I’m pretty sensitive to most things I ingest. Cheers to ,losing !
@@carolyntheys5061 I've been extraordinarily sleepy, too, and I only take one capsule per day BECAUSE, like you, I'm sensitive to a wide variety of foods since becoming allergic to gluten in 2014 plus I have stage 2 kidney disease. A coworker randomly said she's been really sleepy lately and followed that by saying she's been taking magnesium and magnesium makes you tired, she said. So, maybe that's the culprit? Hope it works for you otherwise. I've taken it since January. The first day, it completely shut off my appetite, which was amazing. I fasted for 36 hours and really only caved because I went back to work and was surrounded by food. Despite what the gentleman in this video says, it has helped, and I probably would've lost all the weight I'd intended to lose if I'd taken the three capsules per day instead of just one.
Your Not supposed to do keto diet while using GoLo. I have a good friend who's been on GoLo for just @1 month and it's helped her lose 27 pounds. Plus my endocrinology told me his behind my being on GoLo cause he has many diabetic patients who are on GoLo and their blood sugar blood pressure and cholesterol are doing fantastic while on GoLo. So dont lie about GoLo products. I hate lairs
@@hmckinneyable I really hope it helps your friend but my Endocrinologist Dietician said it was a scam. The only thing I lost was the money in my wallet and that is the truth.
I’m a 60 yo male who wouldn’t be described as obese but personally I feel doughy. Everyone asks why I feel like I need to be on a diet. I don’t appear fat My blood numbers are all considered normal but have risen over the years and with the weight increase, and suggest an inevitable need for weight reduction. My goal is a loss of 23 lbs. I consider myself a skeptic and don’t really believe most claims re. supplements but will follow this diet as outlined for a couple months. I’ve been on it for 3 weeks and lost 9 lbs. the greatest benefit for me is education. It taught me that I rely too much on carbohydrates. I’m not hungry on this diet but have become uncomfortably constipated to the point that I’ve stopped losing weight and have been gaining. I add stool softeners and an unnatural amount of fiber powder additives which can’t compete with this diet. I’ve always said that diets aren’t a sustainable lifestyle. At some point I’ll need to get off of it and resume a healthy diet. Some have said that at the beginning it’s all water loss until you reach ketosis at which point you’re burning fat. The side effects of this seem like a CIA torture procedure though. This water weight loss would explain the constipation as I feel like very little water reaches my colon. I drink way more than I did prior to the diet but also urinate way more. I’m guessing that I’ll take what I learned from the diet and use it to change my regular diet which used to be all healthy carbs but way more fiber than this diet. If you were to measure calories this diet is about 1300-1400 per day. This would cause weight loss for most people without the voodoo claims of the supplements.
I wish I would have watched this video before cuz I purchase golo and from the first week that I've started it I can say this I do have a lot of energy and also I feel like I'm eating less before I started golo I already started on a no-sugar no gluten diet and no meat Just Fish and vegetables I'm still sticking to my same diet and taking golo I do feel maybe it might work being that I feel quite different I'll let you know that updates if you care LOL
This is a great review of the actual supplement. I've tried Golo as directed, and I agree that there are better ways to go about weight loss. The nutrition recommendations are the same as most. It's just another fad supplement. I understand that it may work for some, but I think for the price, the company could provide better products, support, and education.
The problem with insulin resistance is from having too much fat and too many carbs together. Diets low in carbs and high in fat can work for wait loss. Diets high in carbs and low in fat really work for weight loss. It's doing the too together is the problem, because you cannot get carbs into your cells when there's too much fat in them. The carbs remain in your bloodstream and cause high blood sugar and insulin resistance.
The main reason GOLO works for some people is likely because of the diet they ship it with, not the supplement. I am just analyzing the supplement in this video, not the diet. GOLO advertises it to make it seem like the supplement is doing most of the work. That's not true. GOLO Diet Pills’ Benefits Are Falsely Advertised, Class Action Lawsuit Alleges: topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/consumer-products/supplements/breaking-golo-diet-pills-benefits-are-falsely-advertised-class-action-lawsuit-alleges/
My friend has followed the go low diet for the past three months, and has lost 42 ponds. He tells me that it’s a life change he follows closely. He also says that he doesn’t feel he is cheating himself.
I did not follow their diet! In fact that's the one thing I had against this golo plan I did not think they were very clear with their diet. I realize there are no magic pills shots or whatever that you can make the pounds magically fall off, you have to use common sense, you don't lose weight by eating a bunch of food! All that I know by taking the supplements whether it's between my ears or not The weight came off quickly. I was not as hungry I did not have the sugar cravings. And yes there was sugar cookies candies and pies at my fingertips my wife was not on the diet just me. Did not get hungry I wasn't nervous I had energie. It just worked for me that's all I know!!
Bro, you actually just "sold" their product points! Lol You mentioned that the herbs are traditionally used for insulin resistance (exactly what they're advertising) and you mentioned that an ingredient helps with energy (also helpful in losing weight). The whole talking point of this medicine is that it helps people with insulin resistance so they can have energy and keep their glucose levels balanced, which in turn helps with weight loss on multiple levels, especially when combined with a healthy diet, which they also advertise. Do you even hear yourself? 🤣
That's why they are good at selling. But they don't put much in their supplement, so you keep spending $50/mo on them instead of $100 on the pure ingredients that lasts a year.
@210Carnage no. It would be beneficial to purchase the ingredients in their own capsule form on Amazon or from GNC or vitaminshoppe. Then you will get a stronger response instead of a placebo effect. You need to stick to a proper diet watching your calorie count and probably best to get blood work to see what you maybe deficient in that cause weight gain. The bottom line is calories in and calories out. You have to burn more than you eat and that's hard to do when food is so calorie dense now. Cut at 500 calorie deficit per day and do that for a year. Don't chase supplement for results. It will not work. They only help with your diet plan to give a 1-5% boost. Max. If you wanna lose alot of weight quick, you need amphetamines and that's not legal or healthy.
Dr. Excellent review im glad i ran into your page. I, still looking for a heathy wayto lose my weight. And suggestion My main target area is my stomach
No, they are not purposely lying, but they followed a diet plan and lost weight, which is nothing new. Eat 1200 calories a day and you will lose weight. To get the weight off is not too bad when you are in the "fever" and motivated to lose weight, but it is really, really hard to maintain that strict lifestyle and you will gradually give up on that and go back to eating normally, and go back to your regular weight.
If you work in a health field or have family that work in the health field. You will know there are so many messed up things this doctor could talk about as opposed to critiquing this Golo supplement.😅
They don’t tell you everything you need to know before you buy. They say doesn’t interfere with meds. Now I find out they might. If I ask my dr, he will say the same thing, herbs haven’t been studied.
Not always the case for everyone. I have a family member with PCOS and diet and exercise don't just magically help her lose weight. There are multiple medical conditions that make it harder to lose weight; either from the condition itself or from the medicines needed due to said condition.
I purchased Golo and it's not worth the money Berberine is in there, but there isn't enough. I take have heard so much about Berberine and I decided to take 2000mg. I just decided to take it that way, so I'll try and keep you posted. I eat Mediterranean mostly, doing my Macros, I can't do Keto my numbers is Protein, Carbs and last is fat. I don't take it any more.
I love these diet programs that say, take this supplement and eat healthy and you’ll lose weight. Is the eating healthy is a reason why you’re losing the weight and you don’t need to pay for that
Alright, so you said that Chromium and Zinc supplements could do what GOLO Release does. I have a question though- I have PCOS and insulin resistance. What supplements would you recommend that could help with those?
My friend in 6months lost 54pds with Golo. When i saw her today i couldn't believe it n that's when she said the gummy Golo. That has apple cider, vinegar n other ingredients. She looks great
I think Golo is not working at all for my Son he is disable, and only eat lunch at 1:00 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm, so he is fasting everyday, he eat lots of fruit for not to constipated, so he try for 3 months already, nothing happend, he still weght 200 lb, not even lose even 1 lb, so I am stopping order Golo, and the food is very boring food, he dont want to eat the food, he is 59 years old.
I ordered it a while back and with the first bottles I started loosening quickly. I then ordered a 6 month supply and it seemed as though the new batch did not work as the first batch. May try the way you told.
