What is the shinny round gizmo on the fuel system under the bonnet fixed to the strut bolt?

It's a fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pump has been replaced with an alternative which works well, but I intend buying a correct replacement stag pump so I can do away with the regulator ! Cheers
