We're back! Apologies for the lack of KG last week, but we're back with a new episode, and this week we're showing you what I eat on a normal training day!
I hope this video brings you some value, and helps you with your own diet and nutrition. You are a great example for the younger generation of up and coming athletes, not only goalkeepers. I really appreciate your content and attention to detail, I am a 28 year old aspiring keeper as well. Just want to say a massive thank you to you on telling people to wash there gloves when they get them can't remember what video exactly it was but omg my ho soccer and uhlsport gloves are more grippy than they where the first time using them before washing now I've washed them it's so grippy and so much easier to hold harder shots

Thanks mate! The main thing with trials is to deal with the situations that occur. Don't go chasing the game or trying to hard. Do the best you can with everything that happens. Coaches are looking for reliability and consistency, so try and show them that!

Conor did you feel in your more active years that there are certain back stretches you do that you no longer "feel" anymore. I'm 35 and last yet I was still able to fill the basic back stretch, were you twist your back laying down, legs crossed over. Unsure if due to more play time and that back is less stiff compared to the past

Just go for it! Watch the ball wherever it goes, organise your defenders, and go for everything! Who knows, might have a new member of the GK Union!

Get your outfielders to give you Practice. Get some semi decent gloves if possible, never neglect stretching. They can help big time especially with leg saves (coming as a futsal GK) and injury prevention. Work on the basics and work on weaknesses

Theyre the best gloves I've had mate. Grip is incredible. One pair probably won't last a whole season, but it depends how many times a week you use them, and how you look after them. If you fancy a pair, make sure you use the discount code OKEEFE for 10% off

how does this apply to lets say non pro people who just training regulary 2 - 3 times a week? will we get fat if we eat like this and not training every day or is it safe to maybe ripping this off and just train 2-3 times a week?

Everyone is different when it comes to amount of food, with unique metabolisms etc. I would suggest looking at the base food groups, and build up a diet that suits your level of activity with regards to the amounts

I'm 13 and I eat plenty of nutrition and a glanced diet.My fitness is good like ok but I eat take out like 3 times a week and have a lot of fat food like chapatis.Would you recommend to cut this out my junk and would recommend I wake up at 7 am this summer and go for a jog for fitness and routine ?

At 13, it’s important to eat a balanced diet, but not be too obsessed with it. Eat well, fatty foods are ok every now and again, but you don’t want to eat them all the time! And with the running, again, try and focus on goalkeeping & an enjoyable training schedule for your football! That’s more important than early runs!

Personally, I do not recommend soy milk or ANY soy based product at all, because soy is a fertility killer for men! Also, if you want Vitamin C from oranges, you're better off eating the fruit since most of the vitamin breaks down when you turn oranges into juice. Store bought orange juice is nothing more than empty calories in my opinion. Freshly made strawberry, watermelon or pomegranate juice is what I would go for.
