Brings back many happy memories. I had a manual 1.6 Ghia in white, right up until 1999, and loved it. Mine didn't have power steering or electric windows though, but it did have a glass sunroof. I never thought I would see one again in such nice condition, but here we are, and such low mileage too! Superb!!!

Your sourcing is absolutely astonishing! I've been involved with classic cars for three decades, from Beaulieu to the NEC auctions, and the condition of the 'cooking' models that you get, is off the scale! And the amount of them that you list! Anyway, very, very impressive. Speaking of the NEC, this thing looks like it could be on a stand in '84. 'Timewarp' doesn't do it justice.

Ford is as mainstream as cars can be but Ford styling phases can be quite the biscuit; the eighties Fords were spot on!

Lovely example. Very nice to see one where the bright orange horn-push and instrument needles haven't faded to almost-white like most examples did. No cracks in the dash either. This is definitely an indoor-kept car.

Gorgeous mk3 I had one when I was 20

I had a 1.3 as my first car when I passed my test about 25 years ago. It was great as a beginner but I have to say my main favourite has always been vauxhall. This is a really stunning example though. Beautiful condition for it's age.

Miles better quality interior than an Astra of Golf of the same era in my opinion.

This is the first time I've ever seen electric window switches on a mk3 Escort. I did not even know they were an option. Very rare indeed.

wow!!! a very nice example, especially as an automatic!! And it's got POWER STEERING!! I wasn't expecting that!!! The person who ordered that car from new, knew exactly the right spec to go for! I'd get it, but I haven't got 10k! Bit of a problem there! :)

That's a beautiful mk3 but I personally prefer a manual gearbox. I only ever had 1 mk3 ghia 1600 and they really are very nice to drive...

Where I work there's a bloke just inherited a mk3 escort ghia in gold I had to look twice its like new and he explained it been garaged for some time it belonged to his mother in law he's over the moon driving it some have all the luck

the Mk 3 escort ghia were the better one made but if any one remembers tv prog called CATS EYES JILL had one of these one in that series but the one she used in it had electric mirrors etc.
