I am AMAZED they somehow managed to make the opponent's decks even worse than the ones we were forced to use as loaners somehow. That's the only explanation I can see for how I managed to get all of those done first try.
LMFAO the fact we have to play a fucking double summon genex deck in the year of our lord 2023 is unbelievable. All the actual real playable decks to choose from and we need GENEX LORE?
There are some exceptions, the very first Ally of Justice loaner deck is even worse than the Worm deck you go up against, freaking WORMS the thing the archetype is supposed to counter.
@@mooncalf_4534It's really weird of them to not at least wait until thay new Genex support actually hits MD before releasing this. I'm still certain it's overhyped, but still.
i love bad decks on solo mode. They give you a 5 card starting hand and you make a 2.8k defense vanilla. almost as good as the AoJ solo mode where they just give you jet synchron cuz the deck has no way to summon 2 guys
I like how the 5-star duel at the end of those bad archetype stories just has both sides playing a different archetype with a few of the story cards tossed in.
shadoll and nekroz are from DT3 storyline, which much more make sense compare to DT1 with it weird Alien Invasion while on other DT storyline was focused on goddess of rebirth (Sophia and Tierra)
@@waskithonugroho3955 Shaddoll and Nekroz are part of the Sohpia and Tierra saga. Also I disagree that an Alien Invasion is nonsensical in the setting.
@@chaotixthefoxreally just bland and boring storytelling. The Shaddoll/Qli story was improved on much more even though I barely have any idea on what happened exactly
So we learned that...the Worms were causing problems and that the Genex got swept up in it. And for some unknown reason the Genex just exist and have engineers. Did I get that right?
Worms are an invasive hivemind that focuses solely on consuming life like a bootleg version of the flood, and genex are semi mechanical beings that come from the planet and sort of acts like the planets immune system, Allies of justice engineers notice this then adapt the genex to properly help fight the worms which is where genex controller comes in since its kind of like a translator of sorts that connect AOJ tech with genex.
Duel Terminal "lore" is always just the previous guys getting attacked by the new guys. It's just a continuous stream of new dumbasses for people to buy.
Yeah I saw the Ninjas in the last gate and just stared at my phone wondering what the hell I was looking at. I wasn't complaining (Ninjas are hell fun), I was just baffled at the decision
Genex Lore: Genex were released in the Duel Terminal arc by Konami during the 5d's era. It was maybe it's own deck? Maybe draft support or other archetypes? Regardless, one youtuber made a funny video about them and forced the Genex to fight other worthless archetypes for the players entertainment before Genex won the tournament using tools not in the Solo Mode for some reason. Then they were once again forgotten, until now...
I believe wholeheartedly that the S-Force could've defeated the Worms easily, and Visas could do it all by himself (Fallen of Albaz can't because he needs something to fuse with).
@@chaotixthefox visas gains attack for every worm he defeats though, and he has multiple forms, including one that negates all of them and outs then to defense! There is no worm in my knowledge that can do anything in defense position and unable to activate effects! He simply rests then.
@@afeathereddinosaur Visas is large planet at peak power, so he definitely solos. He's too strong to get bogged down and he did fight Kaleido and the Kashitras back to back, then turned into Astraloud and was only then exhausted after defeating the evil within himself so he's shown good endurance.
I was so happy during the final duel that I drew the competent part of the ninja half of the deck and none of the dogshit Genex cards. Made the duel actually possible.
I love how they kill two birds with one stone with this new solo mode. Not only do we get more exciting lore content, which also fits because of this new support for some of the Duel Terminal archetypes. But they also adress this whole "new players have trouble getting into the game" thing by giving us a freshly supported deck and guiding us through a modern, up-to-date combo that lets you keep up with all those insane meta decks out there. ....at least this is the case in another timeline where they actually gave us the new Genex support in the game together with this fitting solo mode. Instead we got a "look at these cool robots!" story with a turn 3 combo involving Double Summon.
@@DrSunnyPyro As someone who has read the new cards, let me tell you, new support will make the deck viable, all we had to do was give the deck the most busted Link 1 ever printed.
When this came out, I played the tutorial and first battle and I was like "Oh this deck is genuinely ass. They didn't even make it seem playable." so then I wondered how I'd ever get through the trickier battles and the answer was... just fucking ignore the Genex half of the deck. They're literally dead weight. Was excited to see MBT finally tackle this gate!
DT2 storyline doesn't have Qliphort but it is Vylon instead and just like Genex and Qliphort, it later on switching side because corruption from the invasive entity (Lswarm)
I love the Solo mode strategy of stalling for topdeck the ultimate Genex card, Raigeki, to push for game. Deadass like half the solo modes are just crusty piles of themed cards with like 3 DM staples in which the winning strategy is to draw at least 2 of them.
I played a lot of Genex on DL, during Cyber Angel format. Just 3 Turbine, 3 Searcher (their Masked Dragon) and 1 or 2 of the level 6. The Masked Dragon and removal was something the meta wasn't that prepared for, in combination with the staple traps (Floodgate and Wall of Disruption) at the time.
3:21 - No *SHIT* it has an animation, it's had one for the better part of a *YEAR!!!* And I told people who were baffled by it _then_ that it was a million percent because Konami was planning a Genex Solo mode. 5:49 - I didn't even see that because I didn't even *PLAY* Genex when I used the loaner. I used Recycler to send Crystron, to summon a token, to summon the link, and played literally nothing but scrap cards for the entire game because the Genex cards were so unplayable, and I thankfully didn't draw any of them. Same with the duel after, I just played pure Ninjas the whole time.
"why are the genex here" We don't know "What are they doing?" Idk, healing the planet i guess "Are they friend or foe?" Uhhh they work great as parts for our machines
Glad to see Konami proudly keeping up with the trend of giving us nothing but the WORST archetypes to play in solo mode. Can't wait for a month from now when they add Nouvelles!
Asking for something more to read at the end of this video is so funny in hindsight with how much MBT couldn't stand the endless lines of text in the X-Saber solo mode.
Once Mannadium is out (assuming the designers don't bless us with a Visas pendulum archetype), they should do a big ol' World Chalice style gate with for all the Visas lore with no limits or bans.
As a player who complete every single Solo gates, imo Genex has one of if not the worst loaner deck for story gates (Still think Joey VS Bandit Keith was the worst ever), never struggle this much for ★3 quest. At least ★4-5 got carried hard by Scrap and Ninja respectively and be easier to play and win than the pure one at ★3.
As another player that clears all solo modes, the Joey vs Bandit Solo was one of the worst MD experience I had; genuinely on par with a Bad Day in Ranked. The second place is a tie between Nepthys-Charmers and Danger-Kuriboh
Correct me if im wrong but wasnt Qliphorts, Shadoll and Naturia all part of the duel terminal lore and I personal thought the Qliphort Solo Mode was pretty enjoyable.
The worst part is that Genex does have some combo potential: Birdman, machine duplication + recycled, blastfan, Neutron is a good searcher and they do use quite well stuff like black salvo, one for one and allure; it's not good, but has clear synergy and can work on a PvE mode. So why do they decided to focus on the awful genex synchros and their cards who demand a vanilla?
This is worse than the Ally of Justice solo mode. At least that deck losing to Worms was lore accurate. Not to mention they didn't have a cool mate locked behind their content.
Would it kill them to hire actual human translators for this game? Whatever bullshit auto translator they're using just makes everything sound like All Your Base Are Belong To Us.
I've heard the tales of Genex being the worst archetpye in yugioh but I didn't realize how bad they really are until I actually played that Solo mode. Holy shit, it's soooo fucking bad. Hands down the worst deck in this game, hell in any tcg. Someone at Konami genuinely believed this deck is well thought out and playable enough to be mass-printed onto cardboard. Think about it, trees died so that Genex can be printed on them... I don't think there is a worse fate.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Every cis woman I know is like "I wanna be Dupe Frog" and every trans woman I know is like "I wanna be Genex Undine"
