I am not a builder *at all* but I finally downloaded Axiom the other day because it looks so cool. Time disappeared and before I knew it I’d spent hours having fun even though it left me with nothing worthwhile (like I say, not a builder). BUT I did find using the erase connected option (which you didn’t mention) fun to remove gravel around trail ruins or to expose ores to see their distribution (which I just like looking at) rather than having to use commands a bunch
Make your house. Don't think about accuracy. Think about "how big is this room I'm in, in Minecraft blocks" and shape it. Adjusting here and there to allow for accuracy only after you've gotten your outline. I've got no building skills, other than "shape A + shape B = my room" This is the method I used to improve my builds, and now I spend absurdly too much time on making my bases lol.
Honestly same. I don’t remember the last time where I logged into MC without intending to record or work on a Wave project and I’ve found myself doing it a lot lately thanks to Axiom. And you’re so right about that bit of the delete tool, I think I got carried away with how I use it the most!
@@Alxikmane I sometimes add a copy of something I really like as well, but more often I use Litematics for redstone I just don't understand lol. It's such a great tool though for whatever you use it to do 👌
Wow, Axiom did Ctrl+Y instead of Ctrl+Shift+Z i really have no faith in humnaity, like every program has either one of those but its only one, idek why
I'm not a builder at all, and while i did enjoy WE, Axiom was so fun for me. to the point that I found myself trying blender tricks that I expected to work in it's editor mode. but I will say still that you'll benefit greatly from using both in parallel rather than one or the other.
Omg. I think this mod will make a lot of new people to start building in Minecraft. Including myself. I've always wanted to jump in and do it but its so draining to only be able to do it one block at a time. This is so fucking cool

9:56 as a person slowly transitioning back to building in Minecraft after building in games like space engineers for years, this feature sold this mod for me. That is EXACTLY how the SE spectator cam works, and as a person used to building with said spectator cam, it will make the hurdles of swapping back and forth way more manegable.
I have a couple pals who use a mod called creativenodrag so there’s deffs a party for it, just not for me-tho I do kinda like being able to fly up by looking up, that bit is kinda dope!
@@mrmaxmondays I use it occassionally, but the fabric version doesn't support 1.19 and above, which is why axiom's no creative drift feature is so amazing. Havent really tested it on redstone to see how it messes up lock states, but i'm sure it'll be fine
I can see the appeal for sure, I think I’ve spent too much time in creative before using no drag mods so it feels unnatural yaknow? I think if I used it from day 1 it’d be more efficient tho ngl
this tool makes minecraft look more like hammer which I'm 100% for and enjoy the fun interface and tweaks but at the same time, how can i ever get unused to old worldedit? in the end, it's basically the same thing. you just move around less
Ive recently started messing around with axiom and my god in so excited to do more I've always wanted to make complex builds but my adhd would cry if i sat and did everything with world edit which is why i never got into it
The enhanced flying mode could be really cool if it only removed drift and acceleration so you'd move at a constant speed, but the flying direction thing makes it hard to get used to, though I'm sure it'd be more useful than the current flying directions
This is the only feature I think I won't both getting super used to, but I bet--if mastered--it'd be much more efficient than normal flight but 100% feels weeeeeeird
I would like to say thank you for the help in installing it and having the discord link you were the first one I seen to have all of it! Great for explaining how to use it as well nice simple and in depth at same time.
I tend to switch between spectator and creative mode so I can fly inside buildings, and luckily pressing F3+N toggles that. I mage it mapped to my mouse macros now.
Great Video! I downloaded Jave Edition a while ago so I could play on the Haroldi Games and am considering trying out Axiom, It looks like a lot of fun! And it would be cool to not have to place each individual block one by one.
Basically I can do what I do with world edit, but without typing 20 commands each time, and there also is much more stuff Insane mod, thank you for the video!
hmm for the smear, I feel like it would be useful with making statues, you make a tube then just shape it however you want for like an arm or something along those lines. Just what came to my mind after seeing it, I haven't tried the mod yet so maybe I'm wrong?
@@ModernSundew there have been a ton of memberships gifted during lifestreams, like 100 per stream or more. it got to the point that all viewers had memberships and they got gifted to subscribers.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the smear tool since I wrote the script for this video and that’s deffs better than some of my ideas! And when it comes to memberships what was said above is p true, streams have been popping off lately:)

Fun Fact: Moulberry, one of the lead developers, also made one of the most popular mods for Hypixel SkyBlock called NotEnoughUpdates (NEU). He's already insane at making mods, but Axiom still comes as a surprise as to how great it is.
fun fact: the erase tool only works with the delete key and can’t be rebound, so on say a laptop with no delete key, you can’t use erase! This is literally my only complaint with Axiom and it will likely be fixed in a week

I was looking for that ! AS I'm not a builder I use axiom builder tool mainly to move/clone redstone stuff! But I'll try building smth using axiom And congrat for 10k, well even 11k as I'm writting
Generally I wouldn’t advise using Axiom for redstone since it doesn’t copy NBT data which can get very annoying but the most recent version does indeed support NBT cloning. This honestly might be one of the more useful mods for redstone now! Also thanks! I’m grateful for the response lately, been pretty awesome:)
is there anyway to replace specific blocks with a percentage of other specific blocks like world edit allows to? or would you recommend we use both mods at the same time for this stuff
There is a way using the R Shift menu-I’d strongly advise on joining the discord as that window can get complicated pretty quickly, but it’s definitely plausible!
Actually to veto what cristian said, unless they changed it since my first playtest it DOES extrude everything in render distance. However Axiom is a beast at processing and it shouldn’t crash your game but it will definitely lag it out-ctrl+z is a good thing to keep in mind😅
Does this do the same kind of thing with changing biomes? Vanilla minecraft has a limit on how many blocks you can change at a time and using something that can get it done way easier would be so helpful
Such a useful video! Would you consider doing a start to finish build tutorial but using the axiom mod Edit: It could even be a tutorial series! Each build could help teach different parts of the Axiom mod, and the final video could be a big build tutorial involving most if not all of the tools taught (If nothing, thanks for the videos you've been making already, love the work and effort and definitely subscribed! :D )
you actually can paste the air with the cloning tool, you just need to open the right shift tab, go to the edit tab and select the "fill air" (or something like that) selection
hey, still gonna be using world edit because there is STILL a whole lot of tools that still make sense to use, same for voxel sniper gobrush and gopaint. but goddamn for the features it has its FIRE
while axiom is very cool, i think it's still a good idea to have worldedit as well. i feel like the two work really well together due to unique features in both mods
Axiom действительно прекрасный и очень удобный во многих моментах мод, но World Edit по функционалу всё ещё его очень очень сильно превосходит =) В axiom нет команды fill, в режиме расставления точек нельзя создавать заполненные объекты. Действительно революционная вещь, это инструменты в обычном режиме, воспользовавшись ими, больше не хочется руками строить простые вещи, и пользоваться креативом без fast place и unlimited range. И производительность, большие количества блоков Axiom размещает и удаляет более гладко чем World Edit. На самом деле было бы очень круто, если бы разработчики Axiom и World Edit сотрудничали, например добить недостающий функционал Axiom функциями World Edit, просто добавив им удобный графический интерфейс. Так как сейчас всё таки на крупных проектах удобнее иметь сразу оба мода
Some solid points! I 100% still keep Worldedit in my mod folder for certain uses, but I’m happy to inform you that Axiom does have a flood/fill feature now and holy smokes it’s incredible
ctrl+n to switch between spectator is like muscle memory to me when I'm trying to naviguate a build. idk man, I'm trying hard to convince myself that i don't need this new interface but ughh
No but actually tho! I use the f3+f4 to swap game modes most of the time but as I use Axiom's menu more I'm realizing it's quite a bit faster--the gamemode swapper is literally on the cursor when you open the menu
tbh, finally cheched out a video about axiom... I understand it is equivilent to world edit in terms of use But im just gonna stick to world edit for now, still better
